LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Malleus Pistrium by piscythe 2021-05-17T00:27:07Z

hahaha that shark is fast! I really like the the graphics and the style of the game. I would suggest to add a scene with some pictures showing the story! And for the retry scene it would be nice to just restart the fight rather than going to the title screen. Nice boss fight! Good job!

Bioluminescence by loveapplegames 2021-05-08T04:22:12Z

Hehehe very relaxing! Nice concept! I really liked the rainbow jellyfish! I think because the jellies and fish are pixelart, having the UI and text as pixelart would match better! Also I would have liked having some kind of background music. Good Job! Screenshot_2021-05-07_22-17-36.png

Line by morrilet 2021-05-05T00:30:11Z

Hi @morrilet! Nice game! I liked animations, how the music progress and the mechanic of protecting the air line! The very first time I played it I attempted to stomp on the turtles only to find out that I should just avoid them! The swordfish on the other hand, I knew those guys were trouble as soon as I saw them! It would be nice to have some kind of objective other than just getting as deep as you can, maybe collecting something like coins or even oxygen tanks! Maybe even a story, hmmm how about that guy dropped a wedding ring right before proposing and now he needs to go get that wedding ring before his rival does it hahaha! Good Job!

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-29T01:55:45Z

Really nice game! Really polished! Good Job!

Through Dimensions by potatolain 2021-05-02T05:18:05Z

Wow! Really a real NES game for an LDjam?!! This is awesome! I am really liking this game... I have not finished it yet! But I love the little puzzles, the music and the graphics... And that it is actually a real NES game! By the way I tried it on my Odroid Go and it works flawlessly there, here is a picture! throughDimensionsOdroidgo.png Great Job!

Rooted by Webox 2021-04-30T05:52:28Z

I really like your puzzle! Very relaxing! I liked the simple music for focusing and the really nice pixelart! Good job!

Deep Water Lurkers by AntaresValdemar 2021-04-27T01:11:12Z

I like your game! Good graphics and the music! I wish I only could see a bit more! Good Job!

Dig Deeper and Deeper by leviathon 2021-05-14T00:51:47Z

Interesting concept and use of physics! hahaha I ended up burying myself! At the beginning I was really confused with what was I suppose to do, it was until I randomly started buying some of the upgrades that I started to get the hang of it. I would suggest maybe some music and some objectives! Good Job!

Sonder (a story) by Noble Robot 2021-04-30T02:41:22Z

I really enjoyed this game! So interesting! The music, the graphics and the story! Great job! I found the bug other people mentioned for the second run where the camera does not pan. If you manage to fix the bug please let me know. Also as a suggestion export it for Linux or Html5!

Miner Vitalya by Cardboard Box 2021-05-01T03:56:26Z

I liked the your pixel art! I think that the controls feel a bit awkward, but it may just be me! It is nice that you exported it for Linux and even for the raspberry pi!

Bad Day to be a Bunny by joonamo 2021-05-01T14:07:11Z

I really like your game! The graphics are awesome! The music lyrics are hilarious! I liked how it randomizes the level every time, as feedback there were sometimes where a shark was generated to close with the debris and the rocks so it made too hard to avoid. Great Job!

Below the Ocean by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-05-05T00:52:30Z

Really nice game! I really enjoyed playing your game! The mechanic you used here is really nice and well implemented! The game feels really polished and the music suites it perfectly! Great game!

Deeper deep ocean by Aret24 2021-04-27T00:34:33Z

I liked your game, fun and with really nice graphics! The idea of submarine with a revolver  LOL! I wish it had matching music! Good job!

Implosion by Caveman54 2021-05-02T17:14:29Z

I want to try this game but probably I am doing something wrong or I am misunderstanding something... on the first level I am trying to click what I believe is the character behind a box, but it does not get highlighted or anything and it does not move to where I click next. Is this how the 1st level suppose to look like? Screenshot_2021-05-02_11-15-13.png

Implosion by Caveman54 2021-05-02T17:37:06Z

My screen resolution is set to 1360x768 and playing it in fullscreen mode. I tried it on Firefox and Google chrome. I am running it on a Linux machine.

Implosion by Caveman54 2021-05-02T17:38:14Z

It seems like it was the screen resolution... I changed it to 1920x1080 and the level now looks like this: Screenshot_2021-05-02_11-35-15.png Yay! I am going to give the game a try!

Implosion by Caveman54 2021-05-03T02:28:07Z

This is a really nice puzzle game! I really like the innovative mechanic and your take on the theme! Some levels are quite challenging, and that's nice! As some feedback it would be nice if the droid remained highlighted after finishing the move, so that you don't have to click on it again when starting the next move. Great job!

Billy's Gone Again by KingOfNova 2021-04-27T02:39:01Z

This is a really nice game! I really like the graphics, the enemies and the music! Really fun! Good job!

A Sinking Feeling by rpgfaker 2021-04-27T02:28:03Z

Nice game! I really like how everything looks! Controlling the multiple characters makes it a nice puzzle game and a challenging one! Good Job !

Quick Scrap by Vimlark 2021-04-29T02:06:00Z

hahaha this was a nice little game! Good job!

Down the Dwarvern Hole by TheseusInABottle 2021-04-29T00:36:33Z

I really liked your puzzle! hahaha I got the music stuck in my head! bom bom wham!

The Sounds of the Cavern by LoicLeGrosFrere 2021-05-14T00:31:35Z

Hey that was really nice! The music, the sounds, the atmosphere! It does a great job creating a claustrophobic feeling! It took me a while to get used to the controllers. Good job!

Clockwork Abyss by Alexascher 2021-05-01T13:34:29Z

I really liked the art style and the music of your game! Good job!

Woah, That's Deep. by Kryndir 2021-05-17T00:40:38Z

I like the graphics, the cute submarine and some menacing looking fish haha! I also liked the music! There were times where it felt a bit hard to dodge the enemies! I would suggest perhaps having something to collect, it could be the fuel rather than just recharging by itself over time. Good job!

What do cats dream of ? by Duck Reaction 2021-05-01T04:28:38Z

Hahaha this game really made me laugh! I was definitively not expecting a game like this haha! I loved the graphics and animations with the retro look! The music fits perfectly the mood of the game! It gets very challenging after a little while, I managed to get to level 8 at one point! Great job!

Boris with a crazy dream by Kirby 2021-05-01T04:08:31Z

This is the beginning for a really nice game! I really liked the graphics and the music! The controls felt just right! Great job!

Aquanomicon by Briibot 2021-04-30T01:10:39Z

I was a bit confused at first with what to do, then I found that you included a guide! After looking at the guide I realize that at list in the html5 version it does not look like in the guide I am missing all the background pictures so I could not see what I was clicking :( Still I managed to make one potion! Even though there was that issue the graphics are really nice and the music too! Also as a suggestion when uploading the web version to itch.io select the "Fullscreen Button" under the "Frame options". Let me know if you manage to fix the problem with the background, I will like to give it another try!

Frog by cacciatc 2021-05-15T04:39:12Z

Great game! I really like that frog, the music, the controls, the levels... and it can run on a NES! I wish it had more levels and even a boss... perhaps for a post-jam version? Great Job!

This game runs flawlessly on my Odroid Go: frogNesGameOdroidGo.png

Hole Flounder by Tryston 2021-04-29T03:06:52Z

Nice game! I love the idea of a fish in a special suit! Hahaha and the shop keeper! Having to upgrade the suit was a great idea too! Good job!

Marty and the Eldritch Horror by Game Endeavor 2021-04-29T00:26:25Z

I really enjoyed playing your game! haha lots of fun and it gets pretty intense! Good Job!

Slicky Finger by Omaewander 2021-04-28T01:13:22Z

Hahaha! What have I just played?! Definitively I was not expecting that! Cool animations!

Debts and Pandamonium by Cyzaine 2021-05-08T04:42:56Z

Cool game! I would have never thought about something like this for the theme, very original!

I decided to take a look at the city and talking with the different NPCs when all of a sudden I was attacked by a black box! Screenshot_2021-05-07_22-31-44.png I was using the web version, on Firefox.

I really like the idea and how you developed it! I really enjoyed the drawings! Good Job!

Deep Space Escape by leapyearboy 2021-05-07T01:39:51Z

Cool idea! I like the concept of managing the resources while you travel! Nice graphics! I liked that you stated your goals and the lessons you learned! It would be nice to have some music! Also I would suggest to export the game to HTML5, in Godot it is super simple and works really well! Having an HTML5 version makes it really easy for anyone on any system (Chrome OS, Linux, Android...) to try your game! Also I noticed that if I maximize the window it will show some gray areas, you can avoid that in Godot by using Project>Project Settings>Display>Window>Stretch and for mode select "2d" and for aspect select"keep". Overall good base for a game! And thumbs up for trying new tools!

Sid by Stuartc 2021-05-05T01:32:35Z

Nice mechanics! The idea of not being able to jump while holding the lamp is awesome! And the music adds a lot to the whole mix! I would keep the music playing when you rather than restarting it whenever you die, at least in my case it was a lot!

AntiVirus by zazz0000 2021-05-17T02:03:46Z

This is a very interesting idea! Some of the riddles were a bit hard, so the guide went a long way! I know it is probably part of the windows 3 aesthetic, but opening a new window for each folder got a bit overwhelming after a while! I would suggest for the boss fight to make the weapons easier to spot and the cursor faster to move! Good job!

Into the lair by Neverite 2021-04-27T02:50:59Z

Nice game! Controls are a bit hard at first! Good Job!

Dig Deep Get Gold by Tim77 2021-05-05T01:09:01Z

Cool game! Really simple yet fun and kind of hypnotic! Good job!

Deeper... by Seebass22 2021-04-27T00:50:39Z

Nice! haha! lots of clicking! I liked the music and the slow down for you to shoot the targets!

Piling Up by zanderpm 2021-05-18T02:36:03Z

Nice game! It is like a mix of tetris and asteroids! That was a clever use of the physics engine! Maybe adding screen wrapping from the sides could help to get really far away asteroids. If you add some music and sound effects would be great! Good job!

Mole Hole by Swoof 2021-04-30T00:38:11Z

Nice puzzle game! I like your graphics and animations! Good job!

Hi @caveman54! I am glad you enjoyed my game! Thanks for your feedback on the controls!

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-04T23:59:36Z

Hi @morrilet! I am glad you like my game! As you mentioned time was tight, but I am actually planning to make a post-jam version with more levels and content! I am taking note of all the really good feedback I have been getting and I am going to take that into account for that version as well, so I really appreciate the feedback.

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-06T00:36:02Z

Hi @tim77! Thanks for the feedback and I am glad you liked it! I am thinking about tweaking the control for the next version and adding more content. I will be posting a post-jam version some time soon!

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-06T00:41:34Z

Hi @leapyearboy! Thanks for the comment! And yes, many people have told me about the music volume control.... That is top on the list of things for the post-jam version! I am glad you liked my game!

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-07T02:16:19Z

Hi @loveapplegames! I am glad you liked my game! I really appreciate the feedback, there are a bunch a things I want to improve for the post-jam version of the game. You are right with the enemies being hard to see when they are coming, I will have to come up with an idea for that... hmmm perhaps an animation whenever the enemy spot you and a sound so you know someone spotted you. About the death animation and the updside down sub, time was really tight haha! I have those on my list for the next version!

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-12T14:07:22Z

Hi @ismael-rodriguez! Thanks for the feedback! You are right about having more types of enemies, I am going to add some more with different behaviors! I'm glad you liked my game!

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-16T23:11:30Z

Hi @piscythe, it is always nice to find other Inkscape artists! You are right about the levels, I should make them a bit more compact for the next version. I was thinking about making the levels in such away that exit is somewhere else so that there are still more things to do while reaching for the exit. Thanks for the feedback, I am going to take it into account when making the post-jam version!

You Better save the Internet! by tucan 2021-05-18T02:10:07Z

hi @zanderpm, thanks for your comment and I am glad you liked my game! You are right about the balancing, I have been working on a post-jam version taking into account all the feedback I have gotten so far. In the next version I added some more feedback for the player to tell whenever an enemy spotted them and is about to start a chase and also you can now hide from them and they will stop chasing you. I have been thinking about either removing the backtracking phase or putting the exit on another part of the level, but I haven't decided yet. I really appreciate all the feedback I have been getting!

Plumbers 2077 by Chunkish Campino 2021-04-28T01:36:02Z

LD54 — Limited Space

Start Wreck: The Finite Frontier by LandoSystems 2023-10-05T04:50:28Z

This would make a great mobile game. I love exploring and with this game I got the whole galaxy! The music was calm and soothing. I really liked the jokes! Great job!

Cramped Choices, a Lifetime Dilemmas! by Tommy 2023-10-09T23:49:44Z

I liked the graphics and how simple it is to start playing it, also the music gives it a frenetic mood. After some times playing I felt like there was no way to influence running out of space, on the other hand maybe that was the whole point!

Trash Truck Hero by Nikolaj 2023-10-06T05:40:23Z

I saw your progress gifs several times during the Jam, I bet you were having a lot of fun! I managed to get 40 points, it's hard to believe driving a garbage truck could be so tricky! I love your use of physics in the game! Good Job!

PhotoSquatch by digitaldude555 2023-10-15T03:16:44Z

Controls are a bit hard to get used to at first but after a bit trying you get used to it. I didn't manage to get a very high score! Very good entry given the time constraints! I think it is due to the art style that reminds me of some flash games I used to play, so it feels nostalgic! I hope you had a great birthday! Good Job!

Pipeline Ride by Papaver 2023-10-15T03:48:29Z

This was a simple yet very addictive idea! You ramp the difficulty level pretty well! Also I'm stuck at the very last level! hahaha No matter how much I try I can't get to make that final turn! There were some times in the last level where was going on green I got out of the pipe and instead of losing I got onto previous parts of the pipe! I liked your game! Good Job! Screenshot_2023-10-14_21-47-22.png

Pipeline Ride by Papaver 2023-10-15T04:02:31Z

Managed to see the end line! I'm not stuck anymore! This was challenging and enjoyable! Screenshot_2023-10-14_22-00-24.png Screenshot_2023-10-14_22-01-04.png

Limited Seats by squirrelsoft 2023-10-10T00:01:07Z

Good concept! I liked the calm vibe and music! After a bit I noticed you could change the screen colors from a light theme to a dark one, that was a nice touch!

Unstable Resource by dhargan 2023-10-13T03:45:53Z

I tried it a bit of times and finally got to beat that red company! Screenshot_2023-10-12_21-45-13.png

I Do by Togis 2023-10-15T22:54:35Z

Haha! I just realized after some times playing that I'm a terrible wedding organizer (So many weddings ruined!), my highest score was -6! This is an interesting take on the theme! I like how at the very end you see the simulation of the different people interacting and their reactions. Music was good and added to the game mood! The first time playing I think I hit a bug, tried returning a name back to the clipboard and accidentally dropped in on top of the picture and then I could not move any name anymore and had to reload the page. Screenshot_2023-10-15_16-39-40.png Other than that little bug I think this was great entry! Good job!

Limited Parking Space by Johnsensei 2023-10-06T05:07:43Z

Hahaha this felt too much like real life! At one point we thought about making a game about getting a parking spot too! The mechanics are good, it take a little bit to get used to the movement, once you get used to it other cars start crashing with you! Fun game!

Haxwell Modem: Beyond the Firewall by shaner421 2023-10-06T05:03:01Z

Nice game! I like the deflecting mechanics and having to time it just right, it can get really hard all of sudden though. Nice graphics and music too. Good Job!

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-06T04:54:35Z

At one point we thought about making a game about space! The graphics look good and the spaceships move very smoothly. The music was good but the shooting sound got a bit repetitive after a little while, maybe using lower volume for the shooting sound could help. I didn't understand why there were 2 aims, maybe I missed something but I felt that was distracting and because of that many times I thought I was going to hit the target but it didn't. Good job!

Shipped Off by fnelix 2023-10-06T05:46:22Z

Hahaha! This was a fun one! Easy and quick to understand! Hahaha and the music, that did it for me! Good Job!

Whiskers in the Dark by Diego Teran 2023-10-03T05:37:57Z

That was really fun! Hahaha I was thinking such a cute cat and almost jumped out of my chair the first time I died! Great game! :smiley_cat:

Pandalele by owca 2023-10-06T04:38:10Z

This was fun to play! I probably should had pay more attention to the instructions! Had to play it a couple of times to understand the mechanic, but once I did I was having fun! I think adding something different from time to time would increase the fun! This could be a nice game to play on a phone. Good job!

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-05T04:38:55Z

Hi everyone! I really appreciate all the feedback and the cool messages. With all these encouraging messages we are getting very motivated on developing the game further taking into account all the great feedback you are giving us!

@cooldry77 I'm glad you like the little detail of being able to shortcut the levels once you got used to the mechanic! Also, you are totally right that we need to add SFX and more music.

@diego-teran I'm also named Diego! Several people have mentioned what you are saying about having to stop and we think it is due to the Princess being too fast. We are going to tweak the player move speed on a next version and we hope that will make it better.

@pete-valeo thanks for the message! I am glad you enjoyed the rhythm and timing mechanic!

@snesgaard We have heard similar comments, we believe it might be that the Princess in the version we submitted for the jam is moving too fast which makes it hard for some players to keep the game pace, we are going to tweak the character speed and smooth the ring's movement.

@beeb-gamecodecompany Thanks for the message! Tweaking the character speed will probably help avoiding stopping as much and help the game feel smoother. We are planning to add more levels like level 3.

@xry We really appreciate your honest feedback and to be honest we really like your suggestions of trying to add more dynamism to the game loop by briefly removing fire ring, we are discussing on different ways to introduce this mechanic that also would make sense with the game story.

@owca Thanks for the message! We are glad you like our game!

@igor-fam We have been seeing people mentioning this, we think adjusting the player speed and making the ring movement smoother will help with this case.

We will be trying to play all your games during the week!

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-06T02:37:54Z

@catusfelony thanks for the great feedback! It is always cool to find people willing to share technical knowledge! We are currently thinking on ways to make the game feel smoother. Adding checkpoints was something we were thinking to add but with the tight timeline it was one of the things that we had to leave without implementing, that is why we want to improve it.

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-06T18:05:46Z

@dan-burns I'm glad you liked our game! Haha also I hope it was the good kind of stress!

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-11T04:46:06Z

@dhargan I agree with you, it is an awesome soundtrack! Our team didn't compose the music track, it is CC0 licensed from opengameart and the author goes by the name HorrorPen. We didn't feel it was fair to get ratings on something we didn't compose. We created all the visual art, story and game mechanics. And that soundtrack we felt like it fit perfectly the game. Thanks for the comment!

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-11T04:55:36Z

@johnsensei thanks for the comment! We thought about starting out more simple and ramping up the difficulty as you progressed through the game but the timeline was brutal and we only got time to include the harder mechanic. If you are interested we have been working post-jam taking into account the feedback we have received and also we have fixed some bugs we found on the version we submitted. We want to keep developing the game further.

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-14T15:27:42Z

@knexator yes, a bit of people have told us the same. We are working with the player movement parameters so that the game feels fluid, our development version now feels a lot better! Thanks for the feedback!

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-14T15:37:42Z

@digitaldude555 Thanks for the comment! We are working on more animations and graphics to improve the mood of the game.

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-14T16:29:15Z

Thanks for the very encouraging comments! After reading these comments our team is very motivated to keep working on this project! We had so many ideas while brainstorming to create this game but due to the very short timeline we had to boil it down to the very core. Getting great feedback so quickly is amazing!

@natano Thanks for the great comment! We are really happy the game resonated with you and even brought some nostalgia! That is amazing! Working on this game jam was a lot of fun and quite a bit of work, especially with the timeline we had to make some tough calls on what we needed to leave out and what rough edges to leave there. Regarding the improvement you mentioned, we found some bugs on the version we submitted for the Jam which may be causing that problem. On our current development version the game-play feels a lot smoother!

@papaver We are glad you liked our game and thanks for leaving a great comment! We are really happy you liked our game, we can see you are really persistent! We are taking feedback into account, because we want the game to feel challenging (and we know it is never fun when a game feels unfair) so on our development version we tweaked the player's and ring's movement, we tweaked the jumping code on the edges of the platforms, and finally we also added checkpoints!

@lachlan-james Thanks for the great feedback! We want to keep extending the game world, story and characters! The feedback we have been getting is awesome, we know the version we submitted for the Jam had rough edges and a big one was starting off with a very high difficulty level, on next versions we are going to make it progressive so that the game feels better. Our development version now have checkpoints, which makes the experience feel a lot better.

Firebounded by tucan 2023-10-19T03:42:18Z

Thanks for the awesome comments and feedback!

@tao-yuanyue I am glad you liked the game and the game mechanics, we are working on an improved version where we added checkpoints and it feels less punishing. I love puzzle games and will definitively give yours a try!

@lemontyseven I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our game and even reminded you of another game you liked! We are going to keep working on this game and we hope to have an improved version soon!

Misplaced Tie by knexator 2023-10-13T03:54:22Z

This really feel like the classic flash games, very nostalgic!

Exodus by Lachlan James 2023-10-15T04:35:13Z

This game feels really polished! The music is really enjoyable, the graphics are great, the UI looks clean and easy to understand and the mechanics are really good too! I really like the concept and the way the team executed the idea of managing your limited resources and space while unexpected events happen! I think I found a little bug the first time I died where I could not build anything, after reloading the game I was able to play smoothly! This team managed to get this level of polishing during a jam timeline, that is amazing! I wonder what you guys could get done with a little bit more time! Good Job!

Escape The Phantom Seascape! by Tao Yuanyue 2023-10-19T04:04:19Z

I really like escape rooms and this was fun to play solving the many different puzzles! The art looks really cool and the music adds to the whole game atmosphere! Good Job!

Limited 2 Space by DSK 2023-10-06T05:56:01Z

That was a really clever idea! It would be nice to have a little explanation at the beginning of the game, I wasn't sure why my character was moving that way and then I noticed the top part of the screen! Good job!

Blowfish Baybies by Matt Walak 2023-10-06T05:21:04Z

I really like the art! I also noticed details like the the bubble particles and lights, all those details adds a lot to like visually. It took me a little bit to get used to the mechanic, but once I did it was working good. Good job!

Until You Make It by TiedToAnAlien 2023-10-06T05:29:58Z

Hi! Your HTML version is not working and I have no way to run the Windows binary! I would love to give your game a try, let me know if you manage to fix the HTML version! Screenshot_2023-10-05_23-31-43.png

Mindwipe by NKooo 2023-10-19T12:52:35Z

I was not able to play the game  As a suggestion for next time try creating a web export, for some of us that's the only accessible way to try other people's games! Let me know if you do a web export and I will definitely give it a try!

Slideworld by XRy 2023-10-06T04:21:42Z

I like the puzzle mechanic! Moving the room was a nice surprise! I would suggest letting the player drag the duck the same way you move the puzzle pieces without having to use the keyboard. And additional benefit to not using the keyboard is that it could be easily ported to mobile platform with a touchscreen. I think this could become a nice game to play on my phone! Good Job!

Trash.exe by Natano 2023-10-15T01:43:54Z

Hehe I loved how the programs fight to avoid been deleted! Also I was not expecting the message Trash gives you when trying to delete it! Great idea to let the player choose the difficulty level! A recommendation for next game jams is to create a web export of your game, I believe that is the most accessible for a lot of people! Good job!

LD55 — Summoning

Infernal Conquest by bloodyaugust 2024-04-16T04:49:12Z

Woohoo I won! hehe that was a good game! It took me a while to get used to the controls, I liked that could even zoom in and out, maybe not limiting the zoom out as much as it was might have been nicer so I could see a bit more of what was happening further away! Great game!

Jiang Shifu by Sn4pi 2024-04-22T00:41:22Z

Waves of Chess by frozenfire92 2024-05-03T05:55:13Z

Hey this is such a cool idea! A could see this game turning into a phone game and me playing it often! I'm not a great chess player, but I managed to survive several waves! The graphics are really nice and the musics suits the mood of the game very well too! Great job! Have a great jam!

Hellcaster by p-r 2024-04-22T00:35:52Z

It was a bit hard for me to understand the mechanic at first but after some tries and re-reading the instructions I got the hang of it. I really liked your guitar music, it sounded like live music and I think that is really cool! I think you got lots of interesting things going on with this game! Great compo entry!

Tristram by Rongo Matane 2024-04-27T14:59:32Z

Wow! This is just amazing! It took you 3 days to come up with something like this.... you are at another level! This could definitely be a game on its own! I loved the different music tracks, also the graphics and your use of shaders to convey movement, the different sound effects, and the different stages of the game. That King Skull is a tough one, it slayed several of my best heroes! Great job! Have a great jam!

The Klent by sirJupitron 2024-04-16T04:35:00Z

This is a really good compo entry! I liked the tight controls, it took me a little bit to get used to it but then it was really fun! Loved Dino! Great entry!

Polarity by Avi 2024-04-22T03:43:25Z

I found it hilarious that the art is from the Godot demos and the first thing I saw when loading it was the Unity splash haha! The game is very enjoyable and the music is very nice! Once you figure out the mechanics it feels really nice to fly around blasting asteroids! Good job! Have a great jam!

Dungeon Evoker by VPhyre 2024-04-22T00:23:42Z

I really like your game! The mechanics, how it looks and the music! As a suggestion, using either only hand drawn or only pixel art will make feel consistent! Great job! Have a great jam!

Muddy Wars by betovf 2024-04-22T03:37:09Z

At the beginning I was wondering what the game had to do with "summoning" then I found a radio and it summoned the aerial strike!!! The physics took me a bit to get used to, but after that it was quite fun! Good job! Have a great jam!

Summonpalooza by tucan 2024-04-16T04:02:48Z

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

@acsid and @andrewkennedy I'm happy to hear it reminded you of a FF, we love those games! We did our best with the graphics and the music in the limited amount of time! Also thanks for the bug report, we are going to take a look at that! @sirjupitron thanks for the comment! I was wondering who how long would it take for someone to get Santa! haha! @bloodyaugust Thanks for the comment! Yes, it is simple mechanically... we had many things we had to leave out due to lack of time. Also, I think we ended up giving it quite a bit of time for the user to be able to win. We will try to do an improved and more challenging post-jam version!

Summonpalooza by tucan 2024-04-18T02:54:46Z

@promzona haha Santa, right! Thanks for the feedback and for the bug report! We will try to fix it for the post jam version! I'm glad you liked it! Have a nice jam to you as well!

Summonpalooza by tucan 2024-04-18T02:58:30Z

@mantsje Thanks for the nice comment! I tried my best to make some music that matched the feeling of the game! It was challenging with the limited amount of time and coding the game! The graphics were done by my teammate rsr-studios and also the code!

Death Death Resurrection by Lachlan James 2024-04-18T02:51:56Z

Great game! You guys make a really good team! The game mechanic is innovative, the graphics and visual effects are pretty cool, the music was great and the sound effects added a lot to the game atmosphere! Great job!

Vocatio by Mantsje 2024-04-18T04:05:09Z

oh no! No web export! If you are using Godot as I did, you might have had the same problem I had with the HTML export. To fix the problem I had when uploading it to itch.io in the "Frame options" section I had to check the "SharedArrayBuffer support — (Experimental)" option. After I did that my game started working correctly with the web export. Please let me know if you manage to upload the HTML export and I will definitely give it a try! Have a nice jam!

Slaymore by Joshua Miller-Pio 2024-04-24T03:57:35Z

That concept art is really cool! This is a really good entry and I really like how your game look and feel! I really like the exploration, the secret places and the different enemies, also the sound effects were pretty cool! There is a lot of potential with your game! There is is also a room for improvements, here are some suggestions:

-The music is nice but perhaps would be good to have a couple of tracks.

-In my case I would have preferred to control the character only from my keyboard, I felt like the mouse buttons were not necessary.

Like I said before really good entry! Good job! Have a great jam!

Aurora's Ascendance: Orbs of Destiny by Unbreakable 2024-04-26T16:25:03Z

I love the isometric art style, it feels really nostalgic! This is a really solid entry! I liked that you are able to complete an incomplete sequence! The thumbnail is very eye-catching too, good idea! There is also room for improvement, these are a couple of suggestions for an even better experience: -add more music tracks, it is a short loop and it gets repetitive after a short while. -The movement felt a tiny bit off so it took me a bit to get used to it. Great job! I really enjoyed your entry! Have a great jam!
