Loved the solar system sandbox feel, graphics were nice, after many a reloads started to get the hang of the controls. Didn't even know I could land on a planet until I got to the comments
This was great fun! Initially felt a little overwhelmed when I got swarmed, controls got easier after understanding how to escape :) Liked the audio and spamming those torpedoes (perhaps a little too much!) Got stuck on front of a boat and got pushed around a bit which was unexpected
Liked the idea of the path drawing in the background, seems like it could get quite messy if you get deep... but luckily I'm not that good. Restarting the audio/its loop felt quite rough, but could also be related to how quickly I was dying
Really enjoyed the art and audio style - the music change on areas was neat. The camera felt a bit close to the player, but worked well with the exploration vibe. The addition of notes brought some humour to the game too!
Your graphics and style were great. If I'm honest I didn't know how to play until I seen the comments, but I really.... really liked the style :v:
Loved the graphics, set the mood very nicely. Same for the audio, really set the vibe however (the cello?) became a little repetitive after a while. The HTML version seemed quite broken as I rapidly spinned into a wall, the windows version worked well. Good job on the compo submission, the graphics alone looked like a lot of effort!
Really like the dice based roll deck game, gave me some dicey dungeon vibes. Took me a minute or so to figure out what was happening, but after a turn or two it all became clear. Would be nice if the multi dice cards carried over as it was hard to roll the two required. Really like where you could take this idea, good job!
Quite the unique combo. Audio was a bit crackly for me (may just be me, didn't see any other comments to this). Got wrecked in the bonus round.
Loved the character design and animation. I dashed off screen into spikes a couple of times. To combat the feeling of a large, vast level perhaps something like a minimap with fog of war to assist in navigation/backtracking. Great job!
I really enjoyed this, but perhaps I was drunk :crab: :beers:
Loved the idea and style. Perhaps adding a depth counter would assist in managing fuel before going too deep. Could see myself playing this again and again.
Lovely simple game, liked the graphics and vibe of the descent. I see the comments on the mercy of the RNG, will be interesting to see what you do here if you take it forward. Perhaps some upgrades/items, turn off lights to save power etc. I took a similar (but far less polished route on my game) and can see the same future tweaks to make it really cool. Awesome job!
Nice Idea, would love to see this grow with multiple players especially over time, if you have a way of replaying/building the thought tree over the course of the voting round would be interesting to see. Good Job!
Thanks to everyone on the above feedback so far!
To specifically 'call out' the extended feedback from @empty-set, @bionikmonster and a couple others - no worries on being harsh or brutally honest, its honestly appreciated! You'll see in my notes many of these items were on my wish/to-do list and y'all are spot on! The biggest issue was time (not able to use the full 72) and resource (I was solo on a new engine). Spent way too long implementing stuff that never shipped!
Voting should be done on what was shipped, but that said watch this space - I think there may be some interesting hobby/side work to do on this concept/idea/game-loop in the next few months :tada:
Thanks again, keep the feedback rolling
Hey @vixenmink can you perhaps describe the issue you run into? It may help me in the future. I suspect it may be the windows smart screen issue. Since it's not been signed/published appropriately, i think you need to press "more info" then run anyway when prompted. Let me know happy to assist 🤗
Took a little while to figure out what was going on with the controls but I enjoyed the trying to get the objects in an orbit. Good job on submitting, looking forward to see what comes from it :)
Visually appealing and nice background music. Initially loved the split control idea, but perhaps some more player guidance/easing them into how to master jumping & grabbing would make it more enjoyable as I feel I got stuck very quickly.
Great lovely game and really cute.
Great little game, I enjoyed the part where you mine! Was taking it nice and easy mining away before the big orange came for me. May sound silly but liked the death screen - perhaps zooming out to show your route would also be cool! Great job.
Loved the artwork and the music (though please add a volume control ) Liked the inclusion of multiple enemy types but they seemed easy to out run (and hard to loop back and kill, ended up dancing in a circle with a shark). Felt a bit odd being upside down as I backtracked, but great job achieving multiple levels and mechanics into this, good job! :v:
