That was..unique. Less a game than an interactive experience. Something you would find in a virtual exhibition, maybe. Very cool idea. And yes, I will have a look later, to see what has accumulated.

This is weird as all hell and I love it. Definitely checking back at the end with this.

Oooh! Artsy!

xmatos 2021-04-29 18:22

Really liked the idea. I whish I could go back in the tree to finish the thoughts of all of them. Also I think that the count should be easier to read. Anyway, Good job, and good luck.

Wow! I've seen branching trees representations of data in the past, but not interactive ones. This is so original! I would love to see a more advanced version of this on a dedicated website with nice animations showing the new words people are adding in real time. Good job on making this work flawlessly

@xmatos I also thought about going back in the tree and finish other thoughts, but the idea was to go deeper and deeper into one thought  .And the tree would be messy af. To read the count easier you can click and drag a cube to turn it. But yes it is a bit hidden.

@secret-magic-404 I will probably make a post jam version of this with nice animation and other ways to represent the data. Maybe going up the tree to see what topic resulted in the same thought. Also I'm prety sure something will break if the traffic would be higher.

Very interesting! It would be cool to see what it looks like by the end of the jam. Good effort!

xlambein 2021-05-01 16:03

Weird concept :D I dig it. I added a few words, I'm curious to see what it'll look like in a couple of weeks

I've never seen anything like this. Interesting idea, needs a lot of people playing it. Could be interesting show a random connection other people had put on each level before you make your own connection. It would also be cool to have an option to just see the entire tree so far (even if it would be messy).

Really nice idea and it could be wonderful with enough players. I think there should be at least an option to go back if you don't want to display the entire tree at once. Otherwise I'm just talking to myself for the most part.

Nice Idea, would love to see this grow with multiple players especially over time, if you have a way of replaying/building the thought tree over the course of the voting round would be interesting to see. Good Job!

justinmullin 2021-05-05 02:31

Very interesting! Making a note to come back to this after a few weeks and see how much more fleshed out it is, but this was very fun to explore a bit, and especially to find places where someone had already answered the same way. Nice job!

Interesting concept! I seemed to get stuck at a point, but it started out neat! Cool idea and nice work!

ryan-dotsikas 2021-05-10 22:13

Wow this was different for sure and interesting! I never wouldve expected something like this from a jam. Kudos to you for coming up with this. Very interesting that it is something that will grow over time, nice job!

icefallgames 2021-05-10 22:25

Very original concept. I was confused at first because I thought I needed to rotate the cube, and didn't understand (originally) how the text on the other sides was related. Still not sure what "ld:" means? ... actually ok, I just realized that's probably ID? Like a unique idea for each thought?

marksht 2021-05-11 03:39

That's the most unique entry i saw this year!

glimmer 2021-05-11 11:21

@icefallgames Yes the Id is to identify each unique idea that was entered. By looking at the Id you can also see in which order the ideas where entered. Thinking about it now, i should have loged the date of the entry and display that instead of the Id. The count on the cube displays how often the same idea was entered.
