Very entertaining and enjoyable, although I find it a bit slow. It could speed up the bar's velocity and the movement of the enemies. A very good game overall, with simple and beautiful art.

I liked moving around and shooting things. Didn't enjoy it as much being stuck in the middle tho. Still a nice game. The hurt effect was cool.

schizoid2k 2024-04-17 00:06

Very nice graphics and audio. I enjoyed the chillness to the game.

evgenii-victorovich 2024-04-17 13:53

I like the gameplay a lot, had to lose a few times to find a winning strat, but overal the game is really good.

denkithegamer 2024-04-17 18:09

Cool game, although I think you can cheese it, if you spawn triangles and shields before you start charging the circle.

utopia 2024-04-17 23:20

@denkithegamer That's why we seriously need a designer :sob:

shaneshanekavanagh 2024-04-28 21:43

Great job! Very nice polish to the game, I like how solid the design is.

ryrumeli 2024-04-29 03:28

You guys say you need a designer, but I actually see solid design elements there. It feels a bit rough with dificulty with spikes? Yes, but I feel you guys did a good design effort there.

It definitely fits the theme, and the music and audio fits the whole idea for the event. The effects are nice and have that bit of game feel, like summoning extra shields and the current ones moving to keep things equidistant. I like how it feels like you guys put a good deal of effort into the feel.

And maybe if I could offer a bit of my own design view, I feel the issue wasn't that you can cheese things by summoning all you can before the circle. If it were me, I would make it so the circle moves and chasing it is part of the gameplay, making my own moving more important and useful as a skill. Maybe even the pressing isn't needed, moving yourself to stay within the circle that moves erratically and teleports around while defending yourself becomes the new chaotic element instead of the pressing of space. What is the point of a nice movement funcion that feels flowy if the game cues me to stay in one place? Also the more you get the circle to move the more you can summon, so you wouldn't have access to the full shields and triangle drones fighting for you until you got "stronger" by syphoning the power of the summon or something in world.

For me game design ultimately boils down to identifying your strengths and the likes of the audience, and leveraging things that work in your gameplay and making sure it works for your audience. The feel part of it, you guys pretty much have that covered, it almost feels like a polished product already in the hypercasual genre, and I feel you guys working together like this will realize you guys are growing together in the game design aspect faster than you might think. Great job!

Nice vibe! I played it a few times and I'm not sure I figured out the rules. It was pretty hard.

utopia 2024-04-29 04:35

@ryrumeli It will be impolite if I don't reply this super long answer, also thanks everyone that leaves comment, appreciate all of your!

Yes I am the designer of this game, and I agree with you that dificulty with spikes is rough and.. somehow not satisfying. I previously plan to set different phases, and just like you said, the summoning circle itself (the one in the middle now) will move or teleport. We didn't have time to finish this and yes, I didn't think about the "locking new ability" this part. Thank you for all your advice, we are seriously taking these into consideration and future plan (if possible).

I liked the game, for some reason I didn't relise that I was suppose to go into the middle to progress, I kind of just assumed that was the enemy spawner or something so I ended up just maxing my defense making the time until around 60% a breeze until the triangle dudes came in and started wrecking havoc on my shields. It was pretty fun having to set them back up while also trying to shoot at them. Nice job!

Hey! This is really cool :D I enjoyed playing quite a bit. Its very chill and I did have to reply a few times to figure it out but thats not a biggie :D

Nice job!

Please can you vote on my game too? :)

Wow nice game! I needed some time to get into it, but it looks polished and cool

justking144 2024-04-29 07:24

Really loved the graphics style! Simple, but it got the point across very easily.

Also, this might not have been exactly how you intended it to be played but my most fun attempt (and the only one that ended in victory) was a result of hunkering down on the circle and just spamming shields and triangles. Definitely felt like that made it into a fun and tense tower defense game where I had to keep replacing what had just broken

This was a super clean and super well-made little game. I jumped right in without reading any instructions and it was immediately intuitive (something my games massively suffer from), and this for me is a testament to the simplicity of the concept and the skill with which you executed it.

The graphics were very very clean and the gameplay like butter - great entry, great job!

adam-gallina 2024-05-01 01:01

Really fun game, with a surprisingly deep strategy! I think some more feedback in-game would have been nice - did you die after x hits total, or x hits in a smaller amount of time? Also, some kind of counter/fill meter/etc for the amount of summons you can have would have been nice for estimating how many I could have in total.

thecritterscove 2024-05-01 11:46

This was a surprisingly fun little game. Graphics while simple, are very polished. I was a little confused about the summoning thing at first, but did figure it out after rereading the help tab. Overall, really nice!

hollowtsun 2024-05-02 13:58

The idea is nice but it would be nice to have different type of ennemies and maybe a better balance for the invocation. If you spawn shield and triangle you are invicible very soon. Even though the game is well explained and I like the idea to defend yourself with different spells and shapeS. Overall it was cool, good job !

alexandru-barbanoua 2024-05-02 16:09

like a lot minimalist design with using only shapes and like a lot gameplay! very repetative )

tucan 2024-05-03 05:46

Nice game! I liked the summoning and energy recharging mechanic! Also the minimalist look is very nice and the music suits the game very well! It would be a lot of fun if you added more difficulty levels! Great job! have a great jam!
