It was pretty awesome and cool puzzle game ^^ The graphics and music were really nice and fit the theme of the game. The puzzle design was really and I enjoyed the levels ^^ I thought the animation of the droids moving was very slow but other than that I liked everything really much! Good Job :)
Great game mechanic! The graphics are a bit odd if the screen is not 1080x1920. It really takes some thinking to get through the levels! Great entry!
@genevieve-phillips @drskort @mads
Thank you all for the feedback. I will be getting right on the issue with screen resolution mentioned by @mads.
We are really glad you guys enjoyed the game and found the puzzles challenging. Thank you for the ratings!
The game's really original and engaging. Levels are very clever. It took me a while to figure out I can move droids on other floors, hah! My mind got totally blown when I realized the music changes on each floor. That's an awesome touch! For me the only issue is the slow animation speed, faster reaction times would probably improve the whole experience a little. Very solid game!
@thejonu That's great you noticed the change in the music. Thank you for the rating!
Very fun puzzle game! I really enjoyed the different layered music you used. I'm a sucker for puzzle games and this was definitely entertaining! I could see this being a full fledged game if there was some way to queue moves as sometimes it was a little frustrating to keep clicking once I felt like I had already solved the puzzle, however, for a game jam, fantastic job! <3
A very good game! The mechanic of the puzzle is very cool, and can definitely be expanded upon. The music changing when you go between layers is very nice touch. Perhaps the improvement can be on the movement, moving one tile at a time with a long animation if you move in the upper layers makes the game move very slow and annoying.
nice puzzle game. It took awhile for me to understand the mechanics of the bridge but after that it got way easier :) somehow I triggered a bug where I had a bunch of multiple droid with different colors on the same level.. I think there is a animation bug too where the droid moves past the selected area and then bounces back in place again. Not sure how it fits the theme deeper and deeper.
I have saved the game to my bookmarks so I can finish all the levels later :). Overall well done :)
A charming game with an enjoyable soundtrack! the tutorial was a little hard to read with the overlapping pixel lines, but ultimately the gameplay was intuitive enough that I didn't have a hard time playing, even after that.
I especially loved the work done with the soundtrack! It was appealing to listen to, looped well, and fit excellently with the style of your game.
On the third level I believe I ended up in a space I wasn't able to get back from?

No matter where I clicked at that point, I couldn't move, so I'm assuming I quite likely clicked somewhere I shouldn't have during a scene transition.
Regardless, I love puzzle games, and enjoyed what I was able to play of your game! Thanks for making it, and great job overall with the jam~! ☆☆☆☆☆
@briibot I am unable to see the issue. Did you understand how you can look at the other layers and move in them as well?
Very clever concept. The concept could make for an extremely interesting puzzle game if you intend to work on it more.
Very deep and fun puzzle game. I had to go back to the main LD page to re-read the instructions how to cross bridges.
Once i understood that i was ready to go and solved quiet some puzzles, loads of fun ! Great job making a fun and interesting game!
I liked the puzzle elements but some of the text was very hard to read.
@offdutyextractors @roidz @thijs-tak Thank you all for the ratings! Glad you enjoyed it. Post-Jam one of the first additions will be a proper tutorial.
Very unique idea. I’ve never seen this mechanic or anything like it. VERY cerebral, get your logic hat on. The art is nice pixely fun. the sound is great, especially nice changes between the layers. The implementation is flawless, and I can’t believe how well considered the puzzle design is. These 14 levels range from unfailable tutorial to real noggin scratcher. Excellent Work!!! Thank you so much for bringing this game by my stream. Here's a link to the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007852839?t=6h6m29s
I encountered a minor couple bugs - for some reason I couldn't click on the bottom 1.5 rows if I was in full-screen (maybe something incorrectly assuming a 16:9 aspect ratio or something?), but it worked if I changed it back to the tiny embedded view. Audio snapped a lot when switching layers, the audio tracks must not have been quite in sync or something - just adding 100ms of fading or so when switching would have helped that be a lot less jarring, I think, but I really like what was done with the audio tracks getting deeper as you go!
Really neat puzzle design, great idea, and good execution, well done!
Nice work on this! Probably the most innovative mechanic I've seen so far, as well as my favorite interpretation of the theme :)
I can't get past Level 1 for some reason, once I collect the ticket I cannot move anywhere...
@escapade Grab the key then you should be able to the left through the door. The door art looks kinda like a laser for more reference check the tiles list in the description.
Wow, this is a really good entry! Great work on using the theme to make a unique and fun mechanic for a puzzle game. With some iteration this could become a solid game! Keep up the good work
@frozenfire92 Thank you for the feedback! This is our best entry by far and I am very proud of it.
@caveman54 Ok nvm for some reason clicking on the red layer got it working for me. Thanks. I will play through and see how the game is.
I want to try this game but probably I am doing something wrong or I am misunderstanding something... on the first level I am trying to click what I believe is the character behind a box, but it does not get highlighted or anything and it does not move to where I click next. Is this how the 1st level suppose to look like? Screenshot_2021-05-02_11-15-13.png
@tucan No the level is not loading properly what is your resolution and are you in fullscreen? Also what browser and system are you using?
My screen resolution is set to 1360x768 and playing it in fullscreen mode. I tried it on Firefox and Google chrome. I am running it on a Linux machine.
It seems like it was the screen resolution... I changed it to 1920x1080 and the level now looks like this: Screenshot_2021-05-02_11-35-15.png Yay! I am going to give the game a try!
@caveman54 Nice game! Some of the levels were very well made, how long did you spend on level design? It is also interesting how the pitch of the song changes at different layers.
Anyway, I think I found out the bug that was causing me not to pass level 1 just now. If you move downwards or upwards into a wall or the edge of the box, the animation does not reset, causing the player to be off-centre and thus unable to move. Clicking on the layer resets the player and thus makes him able to move again.
Nice game, quite challenging. Once you understand the core mechanic, it gets really fun. I feel that you could improve the tutorial with some figures showing how the realtion between layers work.
This is a really nice puzzle game! I really like the innovative mechanic and your take on the theme! Some levels are quite challenging, and that's nice! As some feedback it would be nice if the droid remained highlighted after finishing the move, so that you don't have to click on it again when starting the next move. Great job!
@tucan @ruyoliveira Thank you for the feedback and I am glad you found it challenging.
@escapade @tucan Thank you as well for giving us good descriptions of some bugs we will look into them.
Really nice game! Last levels are really challenging, but had fun completing them all. It's not easy to make an increasing dificulty levels don't having too easy levels at the end or hard levels at the start, so good job! PD: Level 13 scratched my head really hard :)
@holy Glad you enjoyed the challenge and thanks for playing all the way through!
A really neat puzzle game! Some really interesting mechanics and good exploration of the mechanics. The music and graphics hit the theme you seemed to be going for, so good work on that.
The controls felt pretty clunky at times, though. The robots moved pretty slowly, and having to watch all the layers move before you could make your next move got a bit old, especially when you knew what to do and just had to execute it. I think you also have some issues at the resolution you weren't developing at, which led to some strange animations.
Overall though, it's a really great concept and production! Great work!
@natpat Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Great idea and amazing execution. The level design was very well done and I loved the slight change in music that each layer has.
This game is pretty sweet. Cool concept for a puzzle game. The levels were all pretty hard, but fair.
I think level 5 and level 3 should have been swapped. Level 5 just teaches how you can move the blue layer without moving the red layer so well (because that's all you can do). The current level 3 doesn't do as good of a job because you have more options so you struggle with it a little bit, then get to level 5 and it's too easy because you already learned that. A lot of the levels came down to just solving the lowest layer because it didn't affect any other layers. So I really appreciated the levels where you had to keep the lowest layer around a little longer (because there was a key across some cracked tiles that you needed a higher layer to allow you to move over there). But at the same time, it is nice when you can get a bot to an exit so you don't have to think about that layer anymore. I imagine that's a pretty tough line to walk when designing the levels and I do think you did an excellent job on level variety.
Others have said that the game is a bit too slow. Once you figure out you need to move right 3 squares, it still takes you like 30 secs just to input the solution and watch all the robots move. I found level 10 was really bad for that because you were just moving in long straight lines for much of it.
The game art was really well-polished with pretty much everything having a little animation. I do wish the walk animation was bit better. It's probably the animation you notice the most, but it didn't seem to live up to the quality of the other animations.
I think this was one of the most imaginative games from this theme and you executed it in a great way with smart puzzle designs and a lot of polish.
Good mood and nice music, but a bit hard to figure out what to do. Could be nice with a tutorial.
Wow, this is a hard puzzle game. Though, I've enjoyed and finished all the levels, though, so I guess it isn't too difficult.
A lot of my concerns with the game has to do with the onboarding process: learning the controls, puzzle mechanic, recognizing what each tile does, etc. I found the "move lower-layered bots at once" animation to be not very intuitive: after moving a piece, I couldn't make out why the game would suddenly shift to a new level, and I had to watch another bot move. The gate tiles looks less like locked doors and more like lasers that would kill me, so that and the key graphic would have helped the player learn more quickly the purpose of these items and tiles. A tutorial on how to switch between different tiles would have helped as well.
I really did think the whole move bots at the same time mechanic was really cool, and think it's actually a matter of graphical design that could help improve the readability and the ease in which the player could use to make out a solution to each level. For example, since most layers aren't very large, I think showing all the layers at once would have greatly helped. Selecting layers in this way would be pretty intuitive, and you can probably flash a marker on all the bots that would move as a consequence of selecting that layer. I would have preferred arrow keys to move said bot instead of mouse. Also, death would have to be readily apparent and perhaps even a replay is warranted to inform the player why they messed up. I think for a game like this, an undo one step feature would be possible as well.
Great work, had a lot of fun!
@bbapps @solrun @incal Thank you all for the feedback! It will be taken into account for the post jam.
Hi I played your game already but just a question, I built my game using Unity as well, but for some reason I cannot make my game go fullscreen when I press the fullscreen button on the WebGL template. I noticed for your game you could do that, may I know how you did it? Thanks.
@escapade This was setup by default. I would recommend doing a little research it should be built in. Hope this helps! Thank you for playing!
