I love the concept but damn, I'm stuck on the second password! I'm going to rack my brain over this for a while...

I don't know how to solve the second one, but yeah the concept is really cool!

Sorry folks, we realized how poor some of the puzzle design choices are, we will have a guide up soon. There's a lot more to this game to be seen, so I don't want it swept under the rug.
Neat game but very difficult.
The game was difficult, so I eventually used the passwords. However, I like the mechanics of it, such as the endless runner and the bug squash game - a game inside a game is always fun.
Very hard - I couldn't figure out the second password. But you've done a beautiful job of recreating a desktop, with movable folders and openable files.
Intriguing game! I loved the experience! good work!
Neat game, the problem with a puzzle game for a jam is people will get stuck and just move on. You mentioned in another comment a guide, you'll want to make that very obvious because people will 100% skip reading anything. Nice job with the game, very unique.
I really liked this. Like most everyone else, I got stumped on #2, but after cheating with your guides, I went through. Grault was also very difficult, but I can see it now in hindsight :). All the other ones were definitely doable and still challenging. I really liked the concept. And the mini-games inside of the game. The boss was pretty awesome once I realized I had to pick up the weapons.
Great work! Could definitely see computer sounds being a fun enhancement.
This game is great, I love the mechanics and the principle of the game, very fun and funny, the game is difficult and it gives motivation, having put the solution in the event of a blockage is a great idea, well done.
Nothing to say except my surprise that the site is not secure, but that may be part of the concept of the game (as there are free HTTPS certificates, even if complex to implement)
Congratulations and good luck
@tris250 thanks for the feedback, we'll look into it. Is there a security concern with unity apps on a non-secure site?
Cool concept! I got most of the puzzles but had to look up help for the second one, and I never found Waldo. The boss was cool but I couldn't avoid taking damage, so I wasn't able to beat it. Overall, I had a great time poking around and puzzling through the game. Lots of content, great jam entry!
This felt very nostalgic. Loved the art, and the intro was pretty rad too. I'll admit this is definitely not the type of game I would normally go out of my way to play. But I respect the simplicity of it just being an emulator of a simple file explorer. The puzzles felt a little non-intuitive, especially the ones right at the start. The graphics were top-notch, nice work!
Enjoyed the concept of the game and appreciated the effort to replicate older explorer windows. Had trouble with the 2nd puzzle and last puzzle took awhile but made sense afterwards.
Last game was difficult until you get the patterns down.
I'd love to see a sequel or another game with similar mechanics.
@ninjapikmin appreciate the feedback. In the context of the jam, we didn't find enough time to dedicate to puzzle design, which is a shame. I think at the very least we might go back and revamp some of these things when the judging is over
Clever game! I would have been stuck without the guide, but I like the concept and the few passwords I did find out on my own were very rewarding! I liked the mini games as well. Would have been nice to have some kind of music, especially for the virus boss fight, but overall, great job!
This is a very interesting idea! Some of the riddles were a bit hard, so the guide went a long way! I know it is probably part of the windows 3 aesthetic, but opening a new window for each folder got a bit overwhelming after a while! I would suggest for the boss fight to make the weapons easier to spot and the cursor faster to move! Good job!
Really well executed game, I'm stumped on how you had time to implement all this in only 72h. I, just like everyone else, got stuck on the second password. Even after reading the solution I didn't really understand it. Why would 0 = odd and 1 = even when the number 1 is odd? Either way, the other ones were fun to have a crack at and the only other time I had to look at a clue was at Grault. I had the right idea at first, so the clue didn't tell me much except "keep trying the same thing". The boss fight was really close for me, I hope that I would've been able to try again if I had lost  The only thing is missing is sound effects but I didn't have time to implement that in my game either and I just did the basic "fall downwards until you hit something", haha.
Very nice game, well done. Definitely not my favourite type of game, but graphics looks nice and everything works as it should. The only think that would be nice is some music playing in background :)
Very nice concept, but a bit hard for me. Maybe change the hints to give more information.
This is a great puzzle game, good job.
Thank you everyone for the great comments and constructive criticisms.
@litmuszest I am glad you figured out some of the puzzles on your own, it is quite rewarding to finish some of these puzzles! It was a bit unfortunate that we didn't set aside a little more time for level design. All the puzzles were built in the last hours as we were finalizing the game.
@tucan Having to open the folders was very overwhelming once you got pretty far in. I had 50 things open at one point ;) I was hoping the shortcut feature would be more helpful in that regard, but unfortunately it didn't help all that much. Making the weapons more visible was something that we just never got around to. The boss fight was written in the last few hours before the deadline :P
@marcus-otterstrom It was a crazy 72 hours for the 2 of us, @zazz0000 was the leader in terms of planning and strategy. I spent some time making sound fx and starting some music, but was having some issues with my DAW. Next time my audio workstation will be prepped before starting a jam!
@gucio-miszcz Thank you for playing and taking time to comment. I don't think this was my kind of game either, haha, but I grew to love it. Will work on getting some music composed for the post-jam version of the game!
@mololo The puzzles were way too hard, and the difficulty of the puzzles were not consistent or in any sort of logical order. We are thinking up some better puzzles for the post-jam version of the game!
Thank you again to everyone who played our game, we really appreciate it!
This was our first game jam and it taught us a lot! The biggest take away for me was time management and preparation.
Thank you thank you thank you everyone!
