LD38 — A Small World

Little House of Horrors by Archimagus 2017-04-28T15:43:42Z

Thanks for the comments, we plan on continuing work and are taking your suggestions into consideration! @picapica The character stats do affect the game but we didn't convey that to the player, which is something we're working on.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Bathtub Admirals by shide 2019-10-13T21:53:26Z

A little confused as to how to actually play the game after building the ship. Great graphics, but you should have an exit button in-game so I don't have to force close.

Rescue Hamsters! by ryjcio 2019-10-13T21:58:21Z

I really like where this was heading. It was a little bit too hard with how fast paced it was, but I think it could actually be a really fun game.

ReWorld by Firesplash Entertainment 2019-10-13T21:35:41Z

Great puzzles. You did a good job of holding to the theme, although, because of that, the way to get top scores is to play the most bland version of the game haha

It's not much but it is something by TheBearCrab 2019-10-13T21:38:49Z

Good attempt! You seem to have had a similar idea to what we did for our game. I like where you were going with it.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deep-fry Deeper by Ithildin 2021-05-05T13:11:35Z

I didn't know how much I liked cooking! I loved what was completed for the jam, and I would definitely play more if you added more games.

Voyager by Jesús González 2021-05-05T13:05:58Z

This was a very relaxing game. I started one of my play and rate streams with this and it was great to set the mood. Evern though it was slow and kind of repetitive, I was surprised when new things happened, and the upgrades felt more rewarding than they would have if the game were faster paced, I think.

Voyager by Jesús González 2021-05-05T16:58:13Z

@jesus-gonzalez Unfortunately my streaming platform does not have a recording feature yet, so there is no replay :slight_frown: sorry

Jean GADIN on the Prairie by mlho7 2021-05-05T13:10:17Z

Loads of humor here. The game may have been boring but you added a lot of character to this one which made replaying all the more entertaining.

How I Learned to Stop Breathing and Start Sinning by Kyle Farwell 2021-05-05T13:22:18Z

Everything here was top-notch. Great art, audio, humor, and interesting story. The only critiques I have are: a) it wasn't clear at the beginning that I'm supposed to be "bad", so the first option felt really forced. Later, I understood the purpose more, so it made sense, but maybe it could be more clear that you're "giving in"? b) Personally, I didn't like the rhythm game at all. And I like rhythm games, I've even made one for a previous jam, but this one was boring, unintuitive, and really felt like it took away from the game. I dreaded each time I'd enter the elevator thinking "Please no rhythm game".

Those critiques aside, I really enjoyed the game and the ending felt good.

Inner Demons by Zettelkasten 2021-05-05T13:13:24Z

Great mood. Gameply was a little difficult for me, but not so bad that I didn't want to keep playing. Visuals set it off for me.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. There were a lot of firsts for us on this one; Sarah had never written for a game before, I had never used Godot engine before, I had never done art for a game before (or much art in general), I had never done all of the technical work for a jam solo before, and I had never done a visual novel before.

In general the critique has been pretty spot on and expected, but we're so glad that you all tried it out, thank you!

Thank you to everyone who played and rated our game. See you in the next one!

Unstable by Sharks 2021-05-05T13:26:39Z

I love the idea but the loop after getting caught was so slow I couldn't finish. I liked the animation, the story, and the concept. Tbh I really want to know how it ends :anguished:

Onions Have Layers by freakrho 2021-05-05T13:23:51Z

I loved it. The ending felt unfinished, but the journey was great. Smart, funny, and well put-together. Great job!

RogueRally by ComicSans 2021-05-05T13:15:45Z

A chill fun game about programming a robot. More difficult may help replayability, but I enjoyed this version for a laid back experience.

DO NOT INSERT INSIDE THE EAR CANAL!!! by cheesepencil 2021-05-06T21:46:53Z

What can I say but **OH YEAH**

Fare Well by alanxoc3 2021-05-05T13:09:07Z

So fun! Simple game loop with so much replayability. The mechanics took a bit to figure out, but once you get the hang of it you are hooked. Reminds me of something I'd pass-the-controller with my best childhood friend on a Saturday morning.

The Clinic by Cyborg Studio 2021-05-05T12:59:34Z

I really enjoyed this game. The narrative was fun and playful while not taking away from the topic. Plenty of mood to this one and an interesting form of interactivity. Great job!

The Hidden Unknown by CubeX 2021-04-27T17:07:56Z

@cubex Thanks for the Linux build, it worked

The Hidden Unknown by CubeX 2021-05-05T13:04:27Z

Great compo effort! I really enjoyed the concept and the unique digging approach. It took me a bit of time to get the hang of the mechanics, but that's when the fun started.

Deep Jam by MadR 2021-05-05T13:07:16Z

Great game, thanks for sharing it with me! So hectic, it really got my blood pumping. Addictive quick game loop and plenty of charm in the graphics. Congrats on a good one.

AntiVirus by zazz0000 2021-04-28T00:29:43Z

I love the concept but damn, I'm stuck on the second password! I'm going to rack my brain over this for a while...

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Elite Beat Zombygons by Archimagus 2018-04-24T03:58:54Z

Thanks for all the love everyone! This was definitely one the most fun game jams to compose music for, and I was very happy to crank out 4 tracks (I think the most I've done in one jam?).

Since everyone is showing their appreciation, I'm going to release the *full* tracks on bandcamp; **free for download**. So check back for a link by the end of the week. I promise!

And thanks again for all the kind words  :musical_note: :guitar: :japanese_ogre:

Elite Beat Zombygons by Archimagus 2018-04-28T23:59:09Z

Sorry it took so long, but I finally just published the music at https://johnryanaudio.bandcamp.com/album/elite-beat-zombygons

When I have the time, I will also upload music from past jams, as well as future jams.

And thanks again for the kind words! :loudspeaker: :raised_hands: :sushi: :musical_note:

ShootEm? by Merrol 2018-05-02T23:33:42Z

At first I was all :unamused: but by the end I was all :open_mouth:

Still not exactly sure what happened... I don't want to give away the surprise, but I also want answers!

On The Fly by qkjosh 2018-05-03T00:34:35Z

Great job! I didn't realize it was a multiplayer game, and played by myself which I guess had an experience of its own, which I actually enjoyed.
