Love the visuals! Kind of burnt the churros is half a millisecond so I think they should change the recipe... Other than that, great work!
Nice. The gameplay itself is fine, especially for being done in a weekend, but the polish in the graphics and even the audio is really impressive. Seems like a lot more than a few days work.
This is a gorgeous, fun game! It took a while to get a handle on what was expected with each level, but I think that was okay because it was very easy to just play again. I'm sure others will compare it to Cooking Mama, etc, but it gave me major old-school online flash games vibes with its high replay value. The sound effects definitely helped on that front. I got a little frustrated with the chocolate part. The really fast speed feels way too fast, so it's sometimes a bummer when you had a row of perfect churros and then got unlucky at the end. I think the random aspect of the speeds adds a nice challenge though, so while it feels a little unbalanced, overall I like it. Great work!

Oh, I love cooking games so much and this did not disappoint. Going off of what paragonraptors said with the chocolate part being a bit frustrating – it was the hardest to figure out the timing for and a bit of a bummer, but it does make me more determined to keep trying. The graphics are super fun, the sound effects are charming, and the game overall is super fun. Excited to bookmark the game and play it again. Great job!

Super cute! The filling portion feels a little bit finnicky but overall a fun little Cooking Mama-esque game and a definitely creative and hilarious interpretation of the theme!

This is great. The sound effects that occur when you do well are so satisfying. Although you kind of have to play through the game once to learn how each mode works, I don't see that as a problem. It's short enough that playing multiple times is not an issue, and it's entertaining enough to want to play many times anyways.
Well done! Really well polished in terms of art and sound design and gameplay. Would be excited to see this built out to manage your time between the different mini games to make specific churros.

I’ve never been so happy to make a perfect play after many attempts. I think I was **very** lucky because the fill rate was slow for the 5 churros.

Loved it! See it as a perfect hypercasual mobile with more churros :deer: Small delay after GO and Timer appearance is a bit confusing in agility gaming :D

Great visual and audio flair and definitely makes me want a churro haha!! I found the varying speeds to sometimes be far too fast to really even react in time, so I think a smaller window of how much it could change would make the game feel more comfortable to play!

Fun concept, cute graphics! The first run I played, I didn't really know what I need to press so failed almost everything, but I had a fun second run and made some quality churros.

A perfect little minigame and a great concept for staying in the scope of a jam. As others have said, that fast chocolate pour is maybe too fast lol but it did keep me trying again and again to get a perfect batch! Fantastic work!

I love to read all this comments, and you guys are right about difficulty on filling the churros. The point was that we want to made a lot of minigames not only this churro minigames and we had time only for one so we decide to increase the skill to do some of the steps, in order to have you at least playing 2 or 3 tries and don't feel it very short. Thanks for the feedback and for playing it :smile:

The games are cute and easy to understand after one try. The UX is perfect, the feedbacks, instructions and sound design give a very polished feeling. The visuals are omg soo great.

Well I suck at making Churros for sure, I always failed at the fast filling, but the other parts I got pretty confident with :D A super cute game with magickal graphics! Great job! Cheerz!
I'm ashamed to admit how many times it took me to ACTUALLY complete the game and not ruin the Churros ^^; The game was really fun; got a solid Cooking Momma vibe from it which was really nice as it gave me warm feelings of the DS games. The art is really nice and vibrant and is incredibly consistent. The lack of background music is my only real critique as as nice as the sound effects were, they did begin to grate without something else in the background. Still; a really fantastic job ^^
Really cute game, I would love to see a ton more fried pastry based mini games :). I think what would improve the game would be a score system for each step so you ultimately try to increase the final total score. I assume there is something close to a score system in the backend to determine the final mark, so I'd say display it.
@fraukauz YES, I see you're a person of culture :D That image definitely hits close to home, and I won't say much more out of fear of spoiling the REAL THING if/when we set ourselves to complete the original vision :)

The filling stage is intentionally harder to encourage replayability since the minigames are too mini, but perhaps we went a bit overboard. I tweaked the fill rates to make them go relatively fast given a range, and at the same time I also decided to decrease the valid margin, so the compounded effect makes the odds of success more RNG-dependent than they should be. Sorry! ~~(but not too sorry)~~
About the lack of a numeric score... We decided to obscure the final score, as it was tricky to come up with a partial scoring system per step and the current rules are arbitrary af, so the number might not have offered a lot of actually useful information other than x > y. Given that it's a recurring question, we'll probably reconsider for a post-jam version.

Nice little minigame. Shame you didn't get time to put some fun music in, but oh well, gotta do what ya gotta do for the jam. The graphics are really charming and the gameplay is simple and quick, but fun to retry to get the perfect score. I could easily see this in a Cooking-Mama-type game.
This is really good! the graphics are so polished and I love the art style, it's definitely the kind of game I'd play more of if you went on to add more levels/recipes after the jam!! (but I'm not good at filling churros :sweat_smile:)

This was a very cute, quick game! I spent some time trying to get a perfect (at least as perfect as I could get it) score. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to turn off tutorials, to speed up runs. Nice job!
Frying Mama! I like it! :D I had to play it twice because I felt cheater the first time as I was still understanding the gameplay. I chuckled at the sound of over filling. :P Cute, simple, and a solid entry. This was really good! The timing based gameplay feels good and the different graphics depending on if you do good or bad work great as feedback.
