Interesting entry! I think it would have benefitted from more interactivity earlier in the game. I personally just get bored reading dialogue. For people who really like story games this is great!

I liked the story driven gameplay! Some of the questions I was sure I would get wrong, then the question was easy enough haha. But I liked the story you told and the idea of the game.
The mechanical aspect of the game was interesting at first, with it forcing you to read closely and not glaze over for details. I think it needed expanding upon, with other types of questions or other ways to use the information.
The story and ending were predictable but satisfying, so that worked.
The graphics didn't feel charming, could have used a little more work. The audio didn't match the tone of the game.
Overall, though, the story and mechanics made it a solid showing.
Solid short story with a satisfying ending! And yay for more visual novels/memory processing games. :) The graphics (especially the UI) and audio have a bit of an unfinished feel; adding to them post-jam might make it a lot more satisfying.
I didnt realize I was going to need to pay close attention to the details till the first question but Im glad I was. Nice story and now I feel bad for Alice.
That was a cool story. I think the UI/visuals could be polished up a bit more, and then you'd have a really compelling game.
Writing was really well done, I was honestly pretty invested. The UI could use a lot of polish to further engage the player
Cool story and goo writing!! The quit button next to the answers was not a good idea :( I quit mid game by error... Nicely done, great job!
Visual novels are cool. Good decision to have a rather short story - so that players will be able to complete it. And the mood is great. Sadly, the story looks like something from the Russian news :)
I definitially like this character style!
Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. There were a lot of firsts for us on this one; Sarah had never written for a game before, I had never used Godot engine before, I had never done art for a game before (or much art in general), I had never done all of the technical work for a jam solo before, and I had never done a visual novel before.
In general the critique has been pretty spot on and expected, but we're so glad that you all tried it out, thank you!
This was really cool! Never seen a story based game this jam so far, so great job with innovation! Plus I quite like the style of writing, and it was really good.
I got pulled in by the writing and genuinely wanted to see how things ended, so good job! :) I finished the story, and while I did see the twist coming, it was still an enjoyable read and kept me engaged to the end - It was long enough to be satisfying, but not too long that it felt like it was being dragged out.
Thank you guys so, so, so much for the feedback. It's really helped to give us some inspiration for a new, polished game. Like @johnryanaudio said, this was the first time I've written a story for a game (I write books, not so much code :) ) and I had so much fun experimenting with coding and seeing what I could do with it. We're definitely going to take this feedback with us as we work on new things. This was so fun and I'm so happy you all enjoyed it!
I like the characters and the writing. VR Studio let's you make characters. I use that and gimp to make the art for some of my games. aesprite too has a free version.
Chara design are not bad And the game is a little bit fun Like it🤓
I like the character designs, though I wish there was more to do than just talk to the suspect.
Thank you to everyone who played and rated our game. See you in the next one!
