It was kinda hard to avoid the obstacles, made me think of flappy bird. But I wish it was a bit easier because I died many times :P

I like how gameplay art and music comes altogether.
I really like the humor that comes with the vocals in the music.
The music is great! Also the sound effects are really effective -- that chord fits perfectly in the music.
Something that happens here on my end is that the music doesn't loops =/ so when it ends, it stops, but game still plays.
Besides that, great work! The mechanic are interesting -- gameplay is challenging -- and art sets a great mood with simplicity but style!

Thanks for pointing out non-looping music @varalta ! I did a last minute change on the audio handling, which broke the looping. I have now uploaded a version with looping music.
@codeforjoycaro I was thinking what kind of a game I could make in a day and Flappy Bird was my first idea! :joy: We only started making the game on Saturday!

The music is great, love the story. Not sure what the seashells did for me. The music also didn't appear to loop, besides that, quite good.
I love the graphics and mood and play, but mostly i love MarmaidBunny heh :P
Wow, that was great! Got rescued by the Merbunny at the end. :) Very good music, the lyrics are really funny (and fitting too!), a rare thing to have music with lyrics in the jam. Steering is ..not easy.. and often the space between rocks is blocked by a car or a shark and its impossible to continue. And yes, the Music ended after a while and then only the jazzy brass stabs remained. :) Amazing entry! Good job! :thumbsup:
very cute art style and charming music. the two button gameplay was super addictive! sometimes the levels would generate unfairly, but considering this was made in less than 72 hours, it's quite impressive!
Top notch artisitc direction ! The song is amazing, the cutscene hilarious, the good ending so darn cute, the art to die for. The gameplay is not very innovative but it is fun to play ! I love how it drag to represent the resistance of water. The randomizer of level allows for multiple playthroughs. Overall really fun gameplay.
I would advise removing the cutscene upon replaying. Seeing it once when launching the game is perfect. Having to skip it when replaying is a hindrance.
Once of the most polished games from this jam when it comes to looks and sounds. Nice job !

It sometimes seems impossible to go through though...
Spectacular. The art direction is standout. But that track is also amazing. When I saw the landing page and noticed the bunny had concrete feet I busted out laughing. Well done, team! I was able to 'win' with 216 points. Controls felt a little wonky with the small hop/slow down when you change direction, but I got used to it after a bit. I think my favorite bit was the horn SFX on fail and at the start.

Great art and sound. Really felt "complete". My only gripe was the limited control you have over the player character. Given that you are maneuvering in a small space, tighter controls would raise the skill ceiling and make the game even more fun!

Stellar game! The audio is so much fun it brought a smile to my face. The art style is impeccable. I was terrible at the game though, I died so much but that could just be me!
It may be a bad day to be a bunny, but its a great day to be a game jam players. The soundtrack is honestly amazing. The comic-style story telling is brilliant. And the game idea is nice and simple. Excellent all around!
Edit: Also "The cats own all the pizzerias in town, it's a cover operation but they make some really good pies" is probably the best lyric ever written.
I love the art and the storytelling! A bit hard for me, I died quite a bit. Felt like I wanted the controls to be less sensitive, but maybe I just need to practice more. Really nice and polished game, gj!
One of the best I played so far! The art style goes very well with the music and give so much personality. The grim hummor and the excellent controls! I don't know what to add, it feels so complete!

Woooow!:))) What a funny idea for a game!! I love this song, it sounds so close to Tom Waits' style :) Graphic style is awesome, I like that only few colors were in use. It makes everything's very clear and easy to understand. Very cool logo and title of the game. This short comicbook introduction is cool, but I wouldn't repeat it every time when you start over. Maybe I would add some more animations to all characters :) Overall, very positive impression! Congrats!!!

I really like your game! The graphics are awesome! The music lyrics are hilarious! I liked how it randomizes the level every time, as feedback there were sometimes where a shark was generated to close with the debris and the rocks so it made too hard to avoid. Great Job!
The music and the graphic are top notch!! well done, although the gameplay was not perfect it's not even challenging with obstacles that can't be escaped from maybe having a way to slow down a bit will make the game perfect.

Amazing art style and music - it is fantastic! Such a great mood! Game seems very polished and fun to play. I've found one issue though. It sometimes happens that obstacles spawn so close together that it is very hard or even impossible to avoid them. Other than that it is really good ~~pie~~ game!

One major complaint I have is placement. Sometimes the seashells are put in location where I can't possibly get it or worse yet, sharks are place in the only possible passing. Other than that I really like this game.
Very cool game. The art is great and the music is even better. Gameplay is fun but it's quite hard to controll the character and the obstacles are almost unavoidable sometimes but it steel feels fair and fun and I guess it adds to the replayability. I was also able to consistantly clip through the wall by pressing an arrow button rapidly against itbaddaytobebunny.png
@3079 you must be a button mashing machine! I thought I had fixed that bug, but apparently not. I'm just not as good at rapidly mashing arrows. Thanks for playing! :rabbit:
That song is my new favourite thing. Honestly you guys did a great job, the intro is so simple and yet it adds so much to the game.
I would have liked it if the collision sensitivity was just a hair less finnicky. As things stand it feels more luck than skill based (some of those car/shark/outcrop combos are genuinely unavoidable) so that became frustrating after a bit. But also it's definitely a game that rewards many, many play-throughs, and for a JAM game the difficulty balance was pretty impressive.
Overall I had a lot of fun (and only swore at the computer several times :wink:).
This is hilarious. The music and the art are fantastic. Sometime it seems like the way the level generates it is impossible to get past some areas, and the controls make it difficult to be precise. With a little bit of gameplay polish this would be a 10 out of 10. Fantastic job!
One of the few jam games I actually managed to win! Sometimes impossible, due to sharks or cars blocking the path, but great graphics, mood and music!
