Calming art and audio. Nice and simple game.

Nice hard game. I like the graphics.

Wow gorgeous game! Really fun too. I think it's neat how you paused the game when hovering over the upgrades. It's such a small thing but it really keeps the game flowing well and gives the player time to think about upgrades.

Great work!

I really like the graphics. But it is really hard, I didn't survive a long time.

Wow a steampunk underwater game!!! The visuals, the art, the animation, they're incredible!!! The music, the sound, the mood, so good! If this is on mobile, it'll be one of the perfect games I'd play on my phone. Well done!!

Love the graphics and the audio! Really nice game :)

I like it a lot! Nice mechanics, everything works well, gameplay is addictive for me. Also great art style and music

Looked and sounded very good. The upgrades were a little confusing at first but they are a very interesting concept. Not being able to move the submarine is a little stressful and I do think some method of maneuvering would be nice, especially because it is very difficult to kill some of the fish in time early on. Very interesting concept.

spadekhemoglobiny 2021-04-29 20:14

I really enjoyed the game, from the audio, the mood to the gameplay. I found the upgrade system quite unique and fun to keep track of. The only thing I found somewhat annoying is that sometimes you just don't have enough time to take down the fish you're about to run into and you just feel helpless. To fix that I would maybe add a feature that when you hit a fish, it gets staggered. Other than that very fun!

The game is stunning, the sound is really really nice and the game is super polished. I got really caught in the mood. In term of gameplay, I don't think the game is super balanced, there are some items that are very good, almost crucial for survival, that led me to the victory, my other runs were immediately frustrated by a couple of fish that appear low on the screen. For example, some sort of horizontal movement would have helped in this. With some adjustments this game would be a super solid experience.

This is awesome, so polished! Love the steampunk style, the graphics and the audio set a perfect deep-in-the-sea mood. 5/5

Yeah i have arrived to finish game :) realy cool and chill, and so beautiful! Just noticed that most of time, before youre lantern isn't enough improved, fish hiting you is full random, it's a bit frustrating, you don't have feeling to control at all. I don't know if this is the wanted feeling because it adds tension and it's cool too, and you have a chance to repair at time your submarine

stephen-scott-day 2021-04-29 20:33

art style here is so good. glad to see the gameplay and mechanics held up against it (so many pretty games don't play well!) Understanding how things work was intuitive and clear, I really appreciate that. I think the one critique I can give is that it felt a little slow, and the action of it I think could feel more intense considering the stakes of the situation. I played it on stream here: https://youtu.be/exZFt8U6w5s

This is a really nice artstyle, it looks fancy. The UI Animations and sounds worked well together as well. Very solid construction in terms of design. For me, the shooting the fish gameplay was too challenging, so I did not get very far.

Nice work.

Beautiful game! Many things that i loved about it. I love that it had such varied replayability, I loved the graphics, the mechanics were easy to understand, the sound connects well with the overall theme. I played it many more times than i would a gamejam game (cause there's so much out there) and thats a BIG positive, it was actually fun and i wanted to see how well could i manage these upgrades. Round of aplause, well done!

I really liked the art style and the music of your game! Good job!

random-thoughts 2021-05-01 16:39

Love your art style! Really simple concept, but I really like how it was executed, with the upgrades at the side and stopping time when I hover over it so I have time to read and think. The only possible feedback I can think to give is to have some sort of indicator to show that an upgrade is leaving soon, other than that, this game seems pretty much ready for launch. Good job!

c4scar 2021-05-01 17:52

The art was nice. I really liked how to game auto paused when you scrolled over the upgrades and I liked how more upgrades were added to the side. It was a little frustrating because it did not feel like the fire rate was high enough at all. You could protect yourself from the little fish but for anything else it needed 2 hits which you could not get off in time. I think you would either need to make the ship movable so you could dodge or add more upgrades to get your fire rate up to an acceptable level to actually take out the stronger fish.

Beautiful graphics and music, it felt very serene despite the action. The design of the submarine and fish were especially stunning and quite stylish. I found it quite addictive to collect all the upgrades and see how deep I could go. The lighting effects were quite beautiful but unfortunately it also caused the game to lag a bit in my browser. I would have loved to continue playing this in a download version, or perhaps pare down the lighting effects for the browser version.

Very cool game. Lots to like. The artwork and music are great. Very cool style.

I liked the ability to buy buffs, and trying to manage everything. But I'm not very good. Even when I think I'm doing well, I look over and I'm low on health or oxygen or both.

I wish it was a little bit more shooty-shooty-action-based (just my preference), but I understand how that could be overwhelming for a player trying to manage everything else in the game.

Good job!

Great challenge for a game jam, I love the interconnected systems with kills giving currency and the gun filling O2 as well. Nicely polished and worthwhile upgrades made this a gem!

dans17 2021-05-06 23:33

This is probably my favorite art I have seen for this jam so far! Even the UI looks really nice and fits the style well. The upgrade system was very nice as well; I liked how you many upgrades have both postive and negative effects and that the game is paused when you hover over them. The no-movement, strategy-only style was an interesting twist, but I found myself wishing I could at least move left and right. The music also fit the game really well, but you should probably opt out of audio if you didn't make it yourself (unless you made the SFX yourself?). I attempted it multiple times, but wasn't able to beat it; is there an ending or is it just endless? It would be nice if it showed your depth so you could measure your progress better.

lelulagames 2021-05-07 03:26

The style is beautiful, the music is soothing, and the slow ticking away as you descend is amazing. I played and failed twice, but I will have to come back to it. I feel like I'm missing something since I haven't been able to upgrade weapons before the bigger fish come in. Maybe there's some balancing issues, maybe it's me, I want to find out.

Very nice small game. Kudos for steampunk style graphics.

digital-bacon 2021-05-07 12:38

Great game! I love the art style, gameplay and music is nice and relaxing. Really well done!

scruffylooking2121 2021-05-08 02:28

Really nice mood and use of theme. This has to be the most beautiful mechanical fish I've seen since Big Mouth Billy Bass! Thanks for making this game!

denzil-gomes 2021-05-16 21:04

Very nice idea, polished quite nicely. Really great audio and nice art as well. I like the constantly changing upgrade options and the simplicity of the idea that was executed very well. Great Job!
