LD46 — Keep it alive

EPS - Endangered Psychic Species by fjfnaranjo 2020-04-24T03:07:34Z

I'm all by myself here so unfortunately I can't give a full review of the gameplay. But, the graphics and sound here are excellent. I laughed at the music transition with "FREEDOMMMMM" when the alien gets loose. I like the opposing goals of the characters and see how this could be a lot of fun. I did find the human movement to be a little buggy, most of the time jumping with SPACE did not work when another movement key is already pressed.

Great art style and ambient noise. It might be nice if the text bubbles gave some sounds too. I liked the quick puzzle element of moving through the holes.

Hi, you're missing any links to play or download your game. It sounds fun though...

Unfortunately your game link 404s! You may have forgotten to make the game public on itch.io

Save The Dog! by MateusGauto 2020-04-21T04:01:53Z

The sparseness of the world and lack of distinguishing features in each room made this get boring fairly quick. I found two of the three (?) items and wandered around for a while unable to find the third.

Very cool, the control scheme is very original. I spent... a while on stomach II. Gives a real sense of mastery in understanding the control scheme and beating the rising stomach acid.

I love the shaking graphics style. Gives it a cool hand-drawn feel. I laughed at "His own mother...". I failed when I wasn't sure what color "jeans" were. If I could give one critique, the game text wrapping words between lines makes the instructions harder to leave. All in all, I've learned that I should never be trusted with a sniper rifle and a walkie-talkie.

Could not get this to load in Chrome on Windows 10...

Grow by TerribleTrioJoe 2020-04-26T19:22:07Z

Great game concept! Like others, I think the controls need work but the core concept of platforming with a plant that you grow is a great idea.

The Last Plant by Bailey 2020-04-21T00:29:20Z

I had fun playing this. I liked the simplicity of balancing the plants needs with the resources available. Adding walking animations and models for when you're holding water or the plant would be nice.

Wasmball by itsarjunsinh 2020-04-20T03:18:26Z

Barebones, but you admitted this. This game would benefit from a timer or scoreboard. Does the difficulty increase? I got to 2 minutes on my 3rd play and it didn't seem to be getting harder. I do like how the changing velocity of the red balls gives you a sense of constant near-misses. With the constant graphics movements, the first time I looked away from the screen my apartment was contracting and expanding. Trippy.

Curie by DLC Scar 2020-04-20T03:39:29Z

The 16-bit style oscilloscope gieger counter sounds fit your game's theme very well. The enemy spawning sound got a little repetitive, maybe it could be quieter or cycle between a few different sounds.

"THE" ice cream game by nickw22 2020-04-21T00:32:38Z

This game would be more accessible if you allowed keyboard control for single player mode.

Inverted Dungeon Crawler by PoeticMonkey 2020-04-21T03:47:33Z

Perspective made the game difficult to see. A moveable camera or a simpler top-down approach would greatly enhance the feel.

Bean's Farm: The Hunt of The Juicy Cow by Bobba 2020-04-24T03:02:59Z

I can only play HTML5 games but I appreciated that you made an intro video!

Proto Game by Daniel Morgan 2020-04-24T02:39:15Z

I really appreciated the breadth of work that went into this. You have solid and cohesive graphics, music, sound effects, voice acting, cool intro animations. The platforming itself was a little lackluster, the controls felt like they had latency and were mushy.
