Really good tutorial. Controls feel good and I like the graphics. Maybe I'm missing it, but is there a way to tell what barrels contain oil vs water?

Nice graphics! It's a really fun game.
Thanks for the game. The flow of it was very smooth and I love that kind of pixel-art - well done. It was entertaining to play. My only challenge was to understand progress and if it could be completed - what was the score metric behind it? - It would be cool to have something to baseline against when replaying the game.
Loved the tutorial. Loved the game! It was sooooo satisfying to light a chain of cobwebs on fire. Couldn't figure out how to beat the boss though :( That might just be user error haha
Good game, love the pixel art (especially the boss) and the control feeling. At some point the boss stopped loosing life and I don't understand why.
I’d like to try it, sadly when i launch the app (on mac), it crashes as soon as it begins, with only the start of the music (still at the Godot screen) please send me a message if you know how to fix this
i enjoyed it man,
* menu music, tomb music, boss music. Nice! * having to use the spiders to build webs to burn the boss is a tricky and time-consuming tactic, but I figured it out. Alas, the game crashed before I could actually finish the boss. * The "health" bar literally being on fire is great. * When I was already pressed up against a barrel, I couldn't dash into it, which was a little annoying sometimes. * having the torches to light up places where I'd already been was nice, I think I might have gotten lost without them. * Nice work!
Neat game! All the mechanics felt good and it was very polished. The art was great and I loved lighting things on fire. Tricky boss battles but very fun.
Thanks everyone for the reviews and comments!
@asimov-io I think I fixed the Mac/Linux builds. Try out the post-jam version and see.
The tutorial start was nicely executed. Otherwise an entertaining game. Couldn't kill the boss. I guess there was a mechanic there I didn't see. Nice submission.
Pretty hot game! Lighting everything on fire is just a lot of fun and it plays really well. The torches getting lit and showing the areas that I have already been to is a nice touch. The visuals and audio are pretty good too. The water barrels barely mattered, as they could easily be avoided. Maybe they should break through different sources and make traversal a little harder. Beat the boss on the second attempt by retreating and refilling two times. Overall, just an all around very enjoyable game, good job! (although the lines 'oil is life, water is death' kinda startled me ^^)
A really fun concept that could definetly be built upon. I find it a bit weird that you can't tell which barrels contain water, and which contain oil. Other than that the game controlled really well and looked very nice. The sound was so fun, I love selfmade voice soundeffects. Unfortunately I was not able to beat the boss, or even damage him. Maybe I was doing something wrong... Well done!
nice game! I liked the mood of it - the music fits really well. The pixel art is nice and overall i enjoyed it.
Brilliant game. Nice graphic, good job.
Definitely needs a different barrel for oil and water, or at least some way to deal with water later on (unless I didn't find it?)
Nice dungeon style game, though I felt like the map is larger than it had to be, luckily I soon found that the correct path towards the boss is just "straight up", but of course, I haven't figured out the mechanics to beat the boss myself, as it kept resetting back to the spawn whenever I went too far (even if that meant going to the tunnel behind him). I think it would be more satisfying if there were ways to re-fill the health other than going far away in the map to find new one-time consumables, which also prevents the user from using right-click to jump freely, as the comfort costs him life. Also, I found that some barrels could be opened by jumping over them, while others had to be jumped from the correct distance to land just over them. Good job nevertheless.
