Great art and music. For me the gameplay was very confusing. I did manage to make some progress after a while though :) The game worked fine on my machine (Windows). Nice to see other engines than Unity being used.

I like graphics, music and overall experience, but I spend sometime to figure out what I should to do

I spent quite sometime deciding what i should do ... nevertheless the music is absolutely great and the atmosphere is perfect

The Linux build crash when I hit play

samueldeboni 2019-05-01 01:27

I like the graphics, and the ideas is nice, and I really like city building game, but the lack of a description or names for the buildings makes the game almost unplayable, unless you already know what the icons means.

Side note, I glad so see games made on Godot :D

@samueldeboni Did you get it to run in Linux? Also thanks Godot is awesome! I ran out of time so I didn't get tooltips added or a proper tutorial

Great work and level of polish for a compo game! I ended up getting into a good flow by putting the speed on 3x, waiting for my population to grow, and then pausing and building what is needed. For the most part, the building types are grouped on the screen correct? The first 4 are residential, next 4 are commercial, and the rest are factories?

I ran into a game crash when I tried to bulldoze a road though!

sintinium 2019-05-01 05:15

@rosypenguin Thanks! And yeah they're grouped. I didn't have time to properly group them so the underline tells what each is (green is residential, blue is commercial, red is industrial).

Linux build crashed when I hit play

I really like the gameplay, although it sometimes is confusing. The art is nice and I love the main music theme.

It's a cool game ! Implementing the theme in a city builder game was a good idea. Graphics and music are nice. I found world mechanics were too confusing. How to make more profit ? what is the benefit of building expensive buildings ? I tried it on mac, it ran well, I had a bug I think, when my population dropped at 0 nothing more happens, no more people dying :) first time I got a game over. Thanks for this game, I had good time playing.

Edit : I got a crash when I tried to remove a house too.

@sintinium The way I played on Linux was by downloading the source and opening on godot

Brilliant game! the music was amazing! i liked the death messages too they are just too good! although i also had mine crash when trying to bulldoze a road, The gameplay itself was really fun and i can see myself coming back to play it again after the jam!

mikelovesrobots 2019-05-02 06:03

The mac build seems fine except for a crash when trying to bulldoze. Nice work!

lombax 2019-05-03 13:04

wow good music. hmmm i made around 25 building, but i didnt realy understand what i did :dog:, when i felt that i had enough population i made some shops and jobs, but im not sure what the graphs in the lower right is telling me. but the game looks promising. :dog: :dog:

Haha, we had similar idea with our game! nice job, I like the idea, but it could use the tutorial and building description :dog: :dog:

Life is kind of like a game. In this game, citizens remain happy under certain conditions. So in my life it was not easy for me to get a job. It turns out that the whole problem was in the absence of a cover letter. Only professionals https://resumeedge.com/blog/is-it-necessary-to-write-a-cover-letter helped to create an ideal document. As a result, I am happy. I was hired for the position I wanted!
