Absolutely loved the humor, short experience and very linear, but incredibly funny!

Absolutely loved the humor, short experience and very linear, but incredibly funny!
Lovely concept, well executed.
My only complaint is that in the last level, no matter where I place the second block (the big room) the game registers a game over and sets me back at the level start screen, so I can't complete it.
Really lovely solitaire, I would be thrilled to see the whole deck of cards done in the same art style, it's very unique
Loved it!
It became quite hard, quite fast, but I've really enjoyed the tactical take on this theme.
Absolutely loved the music!
The game is also quite peaceful to play and although a bit finneky, it's a game I will keep playing in the next days for sure :)
Incredibly stylish, a great effort in style and minimalism. It's what it says on the tin, a simple platformer, but the visuals really steal the show!
I loved the presentation!
Sadly I cannot understand for the life of me how to play this game :/
I resurrect the dead and then I am told to hold down the mouse, but regardless of which button I press, I feel like I end up losing with not much agency.
Maybe a better tutorial would have solved everything, as it stands I can't really enjoy the game.
Lovely game, lovely narrative, lovely conclusion. A highly polished experience, well done!
nice idea, and well executed, not too much fun unfortunately :/
I really enjoyed toying around with this, very relaxing indeed!
Great mood!
I can confirm that death can put you in a falling loop in which you can't actually keep playing, too bad because I was really enjoying the atmosphere until I could not play anymore.
I restarted a couple of times but it became annoying in the end.
Overall great effort here!
Love text adventure games, and this one is quite innovative, I deeply enjoyed the writing, will definitely finish playing it in the next days.
This is a very mixed bag for me, whilst I loved the graphic art style, the music drove me insane in about two minutes.
Nice and slick though, well done!
I liked the idea, but it's a bit too clunky for me, attacking felt incredibly ineffective and every room had me circle strafing for a couple of minutes to be able to get the enemies down, sorry but I think the difficulty may be too high.
I am not sure about what's going on in this game, and maybe I have an old version as it is all black and white.
{Edit}: After playing more of it, I have to say, this game has the potential to be a quite soothing and interesting experience: Going forward I tried to ignore the enemies as killing them didn't result in any advantage and they seem to spawn endlessly so it's not like you can clear them and be done. Once I focused of exploring, it was really nice to see the changes of environment and find the odd interesting rock formation. Had the game focused on environmental storytelling with a good soundtrack, this could become a real gem!
Wow, what an amazing experience it was, I was lost in it, honestly! I think you should develop this into a full game, something like "sunless skies"
I like the idea, but I could not manage to attack, maybe it's a button I didn't press, also the cursor disappears once you lose and go back to the menu. Finally, the game is way too dark, maybe a lighter ambient colour would have done it justice more.
Good job though!
Loved the humor! It's a bit finneky and it can catch you off guard if you forget that it's a jam game (for example I kept going after the floating head and fell off screen, then opened the pause menu only to find that it doesn't work, luckily it was just the beginning of the game).
But you may forget it's a jam game as the aesthetic is really polished, the dialogues are witty and the game has a real good way to handle itself.
Man, going back to flash was quite the experience, I really like your take on the theme, you really start with nothing but it's not a game you'd expect to see in a jam! It's a great mood make too, brought me back to when I was younger looking at experimental stuff like this on the web.
I think you may have built the game for Debug as it's asking me for the VCRuntime dll.
It's not going to blow your brains away, but it's a competent nice wee platformer :)
Hey @ithildin, thanks for the comment, it is great to know that the game is enjoyable!
Unfortunately I didn't make the sounds so I thought it would be unfair to get rated there when there are lots of talented people that do make the sounds in their games. I am really sorry about the bell sound, I didn't test it enough and I know it's a really annoying part of the game. Unfortunately again though, I am not going to edit the game until the compo is over, it would not be fair. Feel free though to download the source from github and lower the sound yourself if you want to play more :D
I will be expanding this game after the compo, if you want updates on it you can follow me on twitter, I very rarely post there so no spamming is a guarantee (@Thaon1990)
