This is probably the best Jam game I played so far! Really fun! Especially love when the music speeds up with the score multiplier and the SFX goes along with the beat

Best game played so far. This is actually very fun to play with. The graphics and the audios are great. Like the conception of combining Snake with mining.
Hello fellow digging enjoyers o/ Since we made game about drilling as well I took upon myself to check every other drilling related game this jam. Yours might be the most impressive one I've found so far. Pixel art is crisp and fantastic, the sound effects smooth and rewarding, and the rythm based gameplay kinda unique and fun. I really really loved how music changes according to your score and speed. Overall great entry I dig it ;) score.png
Great game, really liked the combination of the rhythm of the music and the speed of digging. Reached 10000, very cool!
Game is very enjoyable! It feels good to combo with the music and the rhythm. It feels very polished already.
That guy, ass up, riding the drill 😂

This was a lot of fun! I loved the design simplicity of it as it's one of those games you can play for hours and not even realize it. Although, I was confused when I died - I guess I wasn't paying attention so closely to that (I took a boost and then hit a wall, I think). Maybe more info on the left side would have been useful for newbies like me!
Graphics were really lovely, it set the mood for the game. Voted, loved it ♥
Выглядит приятным и веселым, пойду побивать рекорды!)
pretty solid rhythm game and totally on theme! graphics are solid and so is the sfx/music.
How the hell did you create such a polished game! You could release it as it is right now! It reminds me a bit of crypt of the necrodancer but as highscore digging game :D Probrably even cooler! Also gotta love the butt animations and the great music implementation :D
reaally good game, audio, graphics, very good stuff, wished it was a bit longer :p
The most fun game I played on the jam so far, controls were good and the way everything sync with the (great) music felt amazing! I need an endless mode :D
My personal best so far, this is amazing, what an amazing job you guys have done. I really liked the rhytm and the chaining of the powers, it just felt good. Wish I can vote more than once, such a cool game!
Ah! I think will be coming back to this one. It's really tricky, but so satisfying to play and I found myself rocking out to the music. NICE WORK!
Very addictive! The feedback in sync with the music is really satisfying! It felt like a Dig Dug mixed with Crypt of the Necrodancer. Apart from the fact that it is quite short, the game does not look like it was made for a game jam due to the level of polish! Good job!
@fullbuff

that was really fun! really impressive for the jam schedule!
This entry is really really impressive. I really liked this take into something like Dome Keeper, it was a lot of fun to see it in a much more rythm game structure! :) Unfortunately, there was a bunch of stuttering issues with the game here, and even some fatal errors that just crashed the game for me :( But the overall time I was able to play it i got a really fun experience! Good work! :)
This is one of the best game jam games I have ever played. The sheer amount of polish is insane! The animations, art, controls, sound and music are all completely on point, I found no bugs and there are so many small details that make this pretty much a game that could be released as a full small indie title with some more levels.
If this isn't a contender for the Nr. 1 spot, then I don't know what is.
Can someone beat me ?
@510 Screenshot 2025-04-09 202217.png
Really well made!
Damn, got to 18k before dying. Didn't realize you can't go back even horizontally. Great experience overall. Good job!
This is a really polished rhythm game, and the fact that you had a team of 8 is awesome. Most of the time was probably eaten up agreeing on a concept and communicating with each other, so the game you ended up with is very impressive.
this game had it all -- short, easy to learn, hard to master and fun! thanks for making an awesome game!
Very nice and quite difficult timing based concept. Well polished and I love the art style and audio. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but it would be nice to explain controls, but it was easy to figure out.
Great entry! Nothing is missing, really - also, that is a lot of team! It's definitely a winner candidate in many categories. If I really _had to_ nitpick, I would say that mixing lower-res pixel art and pixel art font and not really pixelated avatar and some assets in higher resolutions would be something that either is a conscious design decision and is fine, or could be addressed. But I also kind of assume it's the effect of dividing work between 8 people, hence it's more of a remark than criticism. Awesome, awesome entry.
Awesome game! Really complete, loved the audio work in this. Gameplay feels very polished and fun, visuals are great. I can easily play this for hours. Amazing work.
amazing game, amazing feedbacks and fx... very cool audio working with the combos... 5 star game
That was so fun especially audio and sound design
Is it normal that my head is banging so hard on those rocks ? Very nice digging game !
the animations are crazy. what a game. you should update the diggerboard to be online :)
Really cool game! Love that the drilling syncs with the music. It's fun and challenging to work with the sudden increase in speed. Though I feel like the instant increase is a bit unfair, as it's hard to anticipate and I'm not sure how far I will move forward. Anyway, great game overall! Good job!
WHAT A GAME :star2: Amazing gfx/sfx/music, game design is so refined and game feel is absolutly engaging :two_hearts: Good job guys, this is one of the best games of this jam I played !
Super nice game, I really enjoyed the take on music and digging, especially when you get a full combo and you go with the flow until you reach the end. I really like how the lobby reminds me of dome keeper too, the feedback with the face of the character is great and gives a vit of a visual feedback and the effects gives a vibing mood, super cool. The only downside I can find is to get used to the tempo, having to break a block with 2 hits can kinda make it frustrating because of the timing with early direction switch or too late, but once you get used to that it's smoother. Solid entry !
That audio is phenomenal! I mangaed to get to the bottom after a few runs and now I am hooked.
Haha thanks a lot @stingdragon! What's your best score?
Flawless minigame, the graphics are very beautiful, the animations very smooth, the main idea is quite "classic" but the execution is crazy! the fact that it's synchronized with the music is so cool and very fun to play. Congrats!
@glurgludor 44 800 so far! Still losing more than winning but that is my best.
@blackpulse Thank you so much for your feedback! Syncing the music and gameplay to make something both balanced and fun was quite a challenge ^^
@stingdragon So close to the diamond medal! Congrats 🙌🏻
@thisisspy @keith-wang Thanks for playing, happy that you really liked it :smile:
@bigwhiteshogun Thanks a lot :heart: glad you dig it :eyes:
@zzzkvidi4 Thanks and gg for reaching the finish line!
@fullbuff Man, that's some crazy score you got :laughing:
@sayomgwtf Thanks a lot for playing our small game this much! The 3 blades on the left are your current hit points but yeah, maybe we should have made them more visible
@anhell06 Glad you liked it :smile:
@dominic-graziano Thanks :gem:
@p3ngui The butt animation is everything :eyes: Thanks for your kind words :heart:
@7uc4s Well, that means it's fun then :eyes: Thanks you!
@bene-labs Endless mode could have been fun haha, but you know, 48 hours ^^' Thanks for playing :heart:
@angry-fridge Thanks! Happy that you loved it :heart:
@bea Yeah that music is stuck in my head xD
@510 Really neat score :fire: Thank you!
@bravelytyped Thanks :heart:
@hinamarina Glad you still liked it despite the crashes :sob:
@alem26 Thanks, your comment means a lot :heart:
@laurynas Thank you :pray:
@vilmantas Nah, that drill only works on rock and dirt :eyes: Thanks for playing!
@sevadusk Indeed, we were lucky to gather such a team for this jam, we had a blast doing it :fire:
@paulhocker And thanks for you comment :heart:
@j-rara We didn't thought about displaying the inputs, maybe because you only use left/right/down directions so we totally forgot ^^' But noted for the next one :eyes: Thanks for playing!
@marudziik Thanks for your feedback! It was conscious design, as you're pretty zoomed in when seeing his face. Glad you liked it :smile:
@gquibao Thanks :heart: Yeah it's pretty addictive :eyes:
@batthecat Glad you loved it :heart:
@idos Our sound composer killed it with audio :musical_note:
@vegasword Yes :eyes: Glad you liked it!
@farzher He's giving it everything he has! You used the forbidden word :runner_tone2:
@sheepolution Thanks! Yeah, it takes some getting used to it :pick:
@jacky-san Glad you loved it man :heart: Thanks for your comment
@nomus Thanks for your feedback! The 2-hits actually helps when you're used to it because it gives you time to react on higher speeds and also syncs with the music beats and offbeats :eyes:
Why is this one not on my steam deck yet? I mean is one of the best LDJAM games I played! Is so juicy, full of personality, and the music reacting to my actions. Amazing work!
Is such a complete game almost ready for release on steam.
I'm keeping this one on my computer.
@binaryprinciple Maybe one day! Your comment warms our hearts
How do you imagine a more complete version?
@glurgludor I see it like a Steam World Dig + Dome Keeper. Add a small story thread or a character they can speak with through radio advising them of the potential enemies incoming or for new cargo to provide.
Screenshot 2025-04-13 195130.png
Awesome game. The polish on this one is unreal. Can't agree more we need a steam version :D
I think I will go back and hunt the highscore a little more after I reviewed some more games!
@ausstein Thanks again! If you keep telling us we're going to have to do it, what would you like to see appear in a more complete version?
We're waiting for your new high score, the competition is tough!
@glurgludor
The game already has the feel of a full game, it is just lacking the scale. But there are different ways to go about this. Endless mode, story mode, progression upgrade system, different environments, online 1v1.
The core gameplay is perfect as it is maybe a little more variety in terms of blocks so that it stays just as good at a larger scale :)
Great audio, and engaging gameplay!
@botch-frivarg, thank's a lot!
OMG! It's very addictive game :) Cute pixel art, smooth animations, driving soundtrack and adaptive sounds (I guess?). Also very polished, feels full completed. Had much fun, thank you for the game guys!

@x2shadow what a score! Thank you so much for your comment 🤘🏻
Yes, as you might have guessed, we worked hand in hand with the composer to match the music to the character's actions.
How many tries did it take you to achieve this score?
What an awesome and adorable game. The team did amazing! I got really close to beating @fullbuff ‘s highscore but I seem to have hit my plato 🫶🏻image.png
@floxisstreaming Wow super nice score, a little bit more and you'll be World 1st!! Thank you for your kind words!
How many games did it take to reach such a score?
Probably the most polished Ludum Dare game that I've ever played. And VERY addictive. The only thing that I've got bad to say is that the game takes up almost 400MB which took ages on my third world country internet lol. Besides that, this game is AWESOME.
Really really fun game!! I like how it has rhythm game elements with the music syncing so well with the movements. The gameplay is very satisfying, especially the speed up from breaking the rocks, ehich also makes it quite challenging and fun to master. But my favorite part is how you absolutely juiced!! up!!! every bit of it!!!! From the screen shake to the speed bar getting crazy, to the gems falling on the side, to the sound effects, to the freaking DIGGERboard. This is an absolute 5 stars in mood for me, cause everything just gets you super pumped to dig with the music!!! Awesome work!
Great job coordinating 3 developers on the same team and still having time to polish an intense feel into the game. The starting screen's dome and monster in the background gave me the impression of a tower defense game when this seems more of a race with yourself to collect the most treasure. The character outfit made sense at the end and the screenshots do a great job of showing that the game will involve grid digging elements.

Nice and polished game! Looks awesome!
I want to congratulate you, this game feels like a complete and finished game. Love the style of it. Good job overall.
@skvader-418 Yes, comes with building it with Unreal Engine :sob: Thanks for playing, happy that you loved it :heart:
@borabee Thanks :heart: We did put a lot of effort into it, so glad you noticed it :eyes: The Diggerboard was a last minute addition we were like "HOW COME WE HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF THIS", and then rebuilt the game :laughing:
@nbumgardner Thank you! It's basically a race against your drill :laughing: We split the work pretty easily actually, one on the UI elements, one on gameplay, one on tile algorithm (for the main tasks, after that it's a jam, we just rushed to get things done and helped where we could :pick: )
@xpoho Thanks for playing! You're this close to the diamond score :eyes: Gg!
@meskaline Thank you for your great comment, really appreciate it :heart:
we.png good game! My favorite
These high scores make me sad lol, I only got around 16k.
I actually logged out of my main Linux partition and went back over to Windows to try this one out because I couldn't get it to run well under a VM in Linux and I wanted to give it a fair shake.
Nice graphics, good music, fun little game! Great job!
Guys, this is just incredible! The gameplay is tied to the music, amazing color palette, animations of the kid on the big drill — what is he even doing?))))) The drill gets hot — oh my gosh))))) I especially love the pebbles falling from the sides — it's awesome!!! I got such a thrill playing and headbanging to the music!
@egor-iv Congrats! Glad you loved it :smile:
@rubixnoob13 Thanks for the effort and playing :pray:
@ammonit He's shaking his butt to the sound of the music in his (hidden) headphones :eyes: Thanks for playing, happy the you enjoyed it :heart:
I managed to get 50k points, but I had way more fun this guy on the drill is just awesome! xD Fantastic job!
@noagard Congrats! And thank you :heart:
I never imagined that digging to the beat of a song would be so difficult. :) It's really hard to control when it's fast.
Even when the digging is off-beat, the music is interesting.
I thought the game's art was really pretty (although I don't like it when it mixes pixel art with line drawings) and the color palette was very well chosen.
Anyway, I got to the finish line at the bottom of the hole trying to figure out who put it there! :D
Congratulations to the team!
@euler-moises The challenge makes reaching the finish line even more rewarding :smile: Thanks for playing :pray:
Yoo this was so awesome!! Genuinely don't know how you match the rhythm of the music to the gameplay so well! It felt so good to play! Really reminds me of something like Crypt of the Necrodancer! You guys gotta tell me how the music works :sweat_smile:. One of the best ones I've played on here honestly :heart:
@braeden Thanks :heart: We had a music for every speed, check with the music composer the tempo of each, and align gameplay on each beat/offbeat, trying to keep the gameplay on the beat, so every design choice was constrained by the beat
Cool gameplay loop. It is stressfull, but in a fun way. The menu is really awesome! The details with the drill is a nice touch. The music is implemented very well and the length of the level is perfect. :)
Dig Digger.png
@lllarso Thaaaaanks! And nice score :gem:
The most rhythm-filled game I’ve seen so far!
It was super fun to dig deeper, dodge obstacles, and collect gems — all to a great soundtrack! The visuals and overall style are fantastic, too.
You’ve done an awesome job — thank you so much!
@missfire Thanks for your comment and playing, glad you liked it :smile:
dispite the game being freaky i really liked the adaptive soundtrack and overall gameplay loop.
The music being sync'd with the game was very impressive, this had a great level of polish and simple mechanics that allow for skill and strategy! I was around 60k on my first successful run.
Very cool and polished game, original dancing digging idea with lot of potential!
May be my skills are rusty, but first impression is game too unforgiving, but may be skill can be mastered. Some tutorial would be nice, because I'm not sure what leads to fast speed change, which causes me to run into wall, lose speed and eventually lives.
Really great game! The way everything synched up to the music was so satisfying while also serving the practical purpose helping to time your movement. Also loved the little face cam in the top left as well as the effects on the combo meter, just really satisfying to get a high combo going! The lightning ore was a really fun mechanic; felt great to rack up points quickly with it, but also presents a risk of face planting into a wall and losing your combo. Overall, an incredibly fun and polished entry. Fantastic work!
@d-indie Glad you liked it!
@static-leap-studios Nice score :eyes: Thanks for you comment :heart:
@gdman Once you understand that you have a beat to change direction when arriving on a wall, it becomes easier! Also, watch out for when you are digging boost :eyes:
@superpokeunicorn Thanks a lot :heart:
Fun game with a lot of polish, good job !
@garywiss Thank you :pray:
