miner.PNG I am having trouble passing this place. Once I digged a hole here I will not be able to jump out or dig my way out. I love the graphics and controlling so I am willing to try it again once I know how to get past here...

@keith-wang The text on the right shows you the order you need to mine the blocks in to dig holes that are 2 blocks deep. In short: you need to dig in an inverted pyramid-like shape, layer by layer - make a 2-long hole first (without entering it), then fall in and you have made enough space for yourself to make the hole deeper. Hope this helps! godot.windows.opt.tools.64_KcUOJMU9rU.gif
@zedgame Ah, should have noticed that, thanks for the explanation. Sorry but then I stuck hereminer.PNG I think that might be a bug?
Update: I got frozen on the leftside of the box again in a similar scenario where I should be falling. All the controls are disabled so I think I am stuck in a falling state?

It's a bit frustrating how a single error can softlock the game. Feels like movement needs to be faster, or have an undo key?

@keith-wang It's a weird issue we couldn't catch in time before release, real sorry about that! Despite it, all levels are most certainly beatable. I hope you had fun anyway!
@zedgame No worries, I still kinda like it.
Hey, this was a very fun experience and surprisingly difficult! I didnt realize at the start how easily you could get stuck, but learned my lesson quickly. The pixel art is amazing and super stylized and the music and sounds are great too, good job

Cute little platformer - love the graphics well done
I like the art and feel like it could be fun but the movement feels a bit buggy, the player disappears at the start for me.

It looks great, the sound design is really good too. It's very well made and, as far as my experience went, feels polished. It was harder than I was expecting it to be haha but I loved it. Great game, congrats!
Good game, nice music, of course, the game does not forgive mistakes in some places, but thanks for the retry button =)

At first I did not like the game feel, but it's really nice at the end. Big surprise. Nice visuals. The whole things is pleasant. GG
The movement is nice, I don't mind it, I really like the music too. I think I got stuck at the same place as @keith-wang so had to come and see, the numbers did not make sense to me, I thought it was a sequence of number that had to be pressed but now that I can progress, its all good. The art style is also ver consistent and really like it. I think this is a very solid entry!
It's easy to softlock, but trying to speedrun back to where you were is very fun, so it's a win in the end!

Awesome game! Visually it is very nice, the sound is good, the gameplay feels quite polished and there are many levels. It's a bit frustrating how a mistake forces you to restart the whole level, but at the same time it's kind of addictive and makes you want to retry again and again until you solve the puzzles.
pret gyuuud me likike very hard puzzles tho

I love how the game resolves the state for each step - for the bullets it is a little bit hard to tell when the collision will occur on the next frame or not, making it a little bit difficult until you figured out the rhythm
nice submission!
excellent puzzle game, the stepwise movement feels very satisfying

Nice puzzle game. I do feel like it could have used checkpoints, persistent collects, or smaller puzzles. I would've liked to continually retry puzzles except that oftentimes there's a lot of already solved busywork to deal with earlier in the level before getting back to where I'd failed.

This game is oddly satisfying. The music, the movement, the art,, it all comes together beautifully. Overall, a great game!
Okay, glad I worked through the last level and got through to the post-credit. Very nice. Solid game. Little tricky to figure out how to play at first, but once I got the rules, it was a lot of fun. The sound was repetitious but in a surprisingly not annoying way--kind of just a chill background track that kept me in the game. Nice art, great mechanics, tricky later levels... Great work!
what a fantasitic game -- really impressed with the game mechanic and the mood of the game was outstanding -- really went well with the theme as well -- adding to my play again list -- nice job
The lack of an undo button combined with the rather unintuitive mining mechanic makes it very frustrating to experiment in this game. The mining mechanic itself is actually pretty interesting and you get some nice puzzles out of it, but those puzzles are buried behind busywork that you have to redo over and over after you make one wrong move and softlock yourself. In these sorts of puzzle games, an undo button should be very high on your priority list.
Aside from that issue, you have some cool mechanics that work well with each other and some clever puzzles you built out of them. Nice job.

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone! We agree, checkpoints and/or an undo mechanic would be terrific, but we couldn't reasonably finish those in time, that's why we chose to omit them. They're definitely up there on the list of things we want to do when we get around to expanding the game though!

It's a Lode Runner clone ^^ (but strictly turn-based)
Cute. There are some things that bothered me: the constant sound as my character was falling was not great, and I think more love could be given to the graphics overall: some animations, more variety in the tilesets. The music was ok but I wish it were a bit longer. I got to 409m and was't actually sure what to do: it seems the box must get stuck in the first ladder hole?

@aurel300 Lode Runnner, that's the name! We were inspired by what we knew was a clone of an old game, but couldn't find the original - thank you!
All your concerns are valid and we agree, we just didn't have a lot of time this Jam lol.
As for the puzzle, here's a walkthrough of the two tricky bits if you're wondering: godot.windows.opt.tools.64_Crt2wsigLg.gif godot.windows.opt.tools.64_CztNp1s1CI.gif

The turn-based mechanic and puzzles are great—I was expecting a regular platformer! I also loved the “step-by-step” falling animations; they look stylish and fun.
What did frustrate me was landing in a one-tile pit: there’s no way out—no step back, no digging—so all you can do is sigh and restart the level. A couple of times the character also froze after a fall and stopped responding.
Still, it’s a cool and interesting piece of work. Thanks a lot for the game!

It took me a while to realise this is a puzzle game and not terraria lol. Art is superb, you even have parallax background - very nice touch! The timeout on the rocks is a nice idea, it means you can easily retry some situations. A top-right puzzle like system (like in Braid) for collecting hard to get gems could have been a nice touch :)
