Decently fun, definitely rage inducing. Seems there are some problems with the platform spawning RNG, I often had it happen where it was impossible to make it further because there were no platforms close enough to reach, or if there were they were on the other side.

The game is pretty simple, but overall it's quite fun. The description says it's a rage platformer and it definitely achieves that so good job

cool mechanics! a little lacking in the ability to adjust the mouse sensitivity for rotation. Thank you !

Very nice game ! Good idea to put a leaderboard, it pushed me to grind for a bit :D GG
@boboneoone Yeah that's happened to me a few times also, but you can make surprisingly long distances if you play close to perfect. There are a lot of different techs regarding the movement
@seiko Oh that's something I didn't even consider, thanks for playing
@david05 haha thx
Funny and difficult game. Tried the make my name on the leaderboard but did not get pass even 30m. I agree that sometimes the board generation can be out of reach.
@ngryyyyy I knew that would motivate people. The game also has some surprising things that happen if you make it far enough so I wanted there to be some push towards that. I hope someone manages to beat my score at some point :)
@keith-wang The game's tough and RNG is definitely a big part of it

Very difficult but nice mechanics ! Love that it's simple and efficient. Well done ! (and +1 for the title pun)
@toupaks thanks!
Surprisingly tricky! My mouse and I are not on speaking terms after this game, though. XD

@machetemami hahaha thx for playing
I wanted to be on the leaderboard so bad since you see it every time you lose. The best I could do was about 15m however. Rage-inducing is the right word for it, haha. The controls took me a while to get the hang of since I think I was expecting the turtle to move toward the mouse rather than away from it (I think)? And also because you have to keep moving the mouse around to change the angle, but the angle changes depending on the turtle's position. Too much for my brain but I could see some gamers really getting into this on Twitch.
@ruthiepee Thanks for playing. The leaderboard has arrow buttons for pages so you can probably find your score from the next page. The leaderboard showing top 10 scores while filling only half of the screen is very misleading, so that's my bad. I'm thinking of making a more accessible version with more appealing graphics because I think the gameplay is surprisingly addictive.

Wow, you were not kidding when you that rage-inducing! The controls were pretty hard but you can get a little used to it with practice. Fun game and idea! Great work
@texugo I'm actually a little surprised that so many have found the game so rage inducing xD. It is partly on purpose of course but when I'm playing it I don't get that mad, but maybe it's cause I made it idk.
My reading comprehension is apparently bad because I didn't realize for the longest time there was a double jump. Once I got the hang of it I had a lot of fun. Got in the top 10 but I can't hang with your score. I challenge everyone else to knock me down to page two.
Only complaint is I'll second that the a few times the random generation felt like I was put in impossible scenarios. Also the music jump scared me the first time which is kind of funny.
It's fun though! Definitely had the one more run feel.
@braktheman thanks for playing and I now understand I didn't make the controls clear enough. If you get even further there is a little more than just scary music haha

Great rage game:Dd! The jumping mechanic is very good and has the perfect balance of control and chaos. Really though game and some jumps definitely feel impossible. But great work overall!
@deadcode Glad to hear

Great job with the jumping mechanics, they allow for precise control. The game is quite difficult so I didn't reach the ending but that's just a skill issue.
@woona there is no ending really but if you make it to 120 it'll get crazy
Definetly a rage platformer withs is simple but highskill movement.
As others stated leaderboard was a good addition!
I really like the audio when you loose, it right enough whimsical and sad "oh you lost". Really helped me to try out more.
@prunus-padis glad you liked it

Yup, it's a rage platformer. Had to stop playing after a few tries, I can't manage these lol.
Well done, a solid simple entry with good execution, great job! <3
The Dark Souls of platformers. Pretty fun, not a big fan of the rng tho. Solid idea still!

Well done making a rage inducing platformer! It was in fact, rage inducing! The title music will haunt me as I play the rest of the games in the jam, haha. The controls were the biggest unique factor to the game, and while they appeared to behave normally, the quirk of them being relative to the position of your character really through me off until I adapted.
One way to improve this game would be to add a simple "swimming" animation to the turtle. Even separating the flippers from the shell, and adding a simple up/down animation would go a long way to making the game feel more polished.
The aim direction being backwards felt weird, but I got over it. However, I found the game way too hard for me unfortunately, so I didn't get very far.
Controls feel consistent, which is important for this genre. Leaderboard is a nice touch. Good job!

Unusual mechanics, it was not easy for me to play, but quite fun, thank you
@tobius thanks for the feedback. Initially the turtle was supposed to shoot some sort of projectile to push themselves but then we didn't end up doing that and at the end had no time to implement any animations sadly.
@fireslash @jtap thanks for trying even if it was difficult
This game looks fun, but I found it way too difficult. I tried 20 times but never got past the third platform. I would really like to play an easier version to get more fun out of the game. The jumps are too small, and orienting with the mouse is difficult. Why jump in the opposite direction of the mouse? This is counterintuitive and also induces orientation issues when the turtle approaches the mouse as it moves up.
@loveapplegames you have 2 jumps, I don't think I made that clear enough. But you are correct that maybe I should have inverted the direction with the mouse. Initially the turtle was supposed to shoot a projectile in the direction of the mouse to boost up, but then that idea got scrapped but the logic stayed.

A fun little game, having a leaderboard always brings out my competitive side haha. Wasn't able to get on it tho, the controls are really hard and the procedural generation doesn't always let you progress which can get quite frustrating.. Still spent way more time on the game then I should've trying to get the best score possible, guess I just love raging:D
Managed to get a 6th place (at this moment) in the leaderboard :D Yaaay!
That's a really fun game! Reverse doodle jump is a nice touch on the theme. Didn't read any tutorials and it's really good that your game could be understood without reading pretty much!
Also found a bug, really big, took a third of a screen, really cool :DDD
@surweaver haha nice to hear someone get a little further in the game

the game looks simple but it's really changellagable!I've tried many times but still stuck at the very beginning...Great game and good job anyway!
@tomas88a yeah I clearly underestimated the difficulty of the game when designing it haha. While developing I must have played too much and got too good lol
One of my favorites this is. Ekran görüntüsü 2025-04-14 000004.png
I really enjoyed the suprises but couldnt get to much further to see what might be ahead. The cockroaches were great, never thought I would say it but there it is :D
@ali-yagmur haha love to see it. There are 2 things you didn't get to see but that's a solid score.
I feel like this is a game that would've been played a fair amount back when web games were a bigger thing. I understand why you'd call it a rage game but I felt it was missing something, can't quite put my finger on what, to really sell it to me as one. Now it just felt like a difficult game. The only actual annoying part for me was how it felt like my mouse was too high up all the time causing me to be unable to dash.
I liked the movement since it felt like one was used mostly to get towards a platform and the second to stabilize the turtle to prevent sliding. Sometimes it was a bit unclear if you had gotten your dashes back or not (sometimes I didn't quite make it to a platform and got my dashes back and sometimes didn't) so adding some sort of an indicator would've been nice (maybe a simple sound effect?) The leaderboard was a cool addition but I didn't realize it was global until I saw the other comments (I may have to come back to this after playing some other submissions :D)
@miroreflect thanks for the in depth comment. I have after the fact realized that I should have just inverted the mouse/jump direction. It would be better if the turtle jumped towards the mouse and not away from it for sure. Also I had the idea of changing the color of the turtle depending on how many dashes there were left (kinda like the hair color in Celeste) but ran out of time and forgot about it.
Pretty fun little game. However I found the controls (clicking behind the character) counter-intuitive and couldn't bring myself to enjoy the gameplay as much I wanted to. I feel like jump recharge should happen on collision with objects and not by standing on them as that would make this challenging game more fair on the player. But as the goal clearly was to induce rage you definitely did a fine job there :smiley:
Well done!

Interesting game! Very cleverly combined with the theme, a reverse platform jump! It's just that the operation makes me a bit uncomfortable
@empyreans Yeah the controls aren't the best but the jumps do get reset by every collision(except for the walls) actually. You can just barely scrape the side of a platform and you get the jumps back. Thx for playing
