The neon aesthetic is amazing looking. The movement feels a bit too slidy for my taste, makes it really hard to dodge the enemies with the speed they come at you. Other than that a nice little cool looking game:)
Quite an interesting and unique submission. Reminded me of a project I did in a computer science class once:D
Nice short little game:) Love the artstyle. I think it could benefit from more mechanics and enemy attack patterns, but cool concept!
Such a cool little game, had a lot of fun exploring, the low poly aesthetic with the torch to light your way just feel really nice:) P.S. I hope you're keeping track of the TTP as you should in every game that has a free draw mechanic (if you know you know haha)
Fun game, made it all the way to the end!
I like the idea of a platformer going down instead of up and the digging mechanic. I was missing a bit more that I could do though, I feel like it could get stale after a while. But the platforming mechanics were great, overall a cool entry:)
It's a really well executed mystery game, I love the reading minds mechanic, it's pretty easy to understand and once you get the hang of it you can really strategize on how to use it. Well done!
This is so cool! It's so satisfying to mine the blocks, the sound design on that is crucial and you nailed it! I love the progression and the different upgrades on your tools you collect throughout the game. I could see this being a very popular addictive mobile game if fleshed out and released:)
Really cool and original! Love the skin editor and that the created characters get shared between players! The gameplay is funny but could be a bit more engaging, the ability variety could be a bit better too.
But overall a really fun and cool game, good job!
Very nice simple little game, I love me some rage games and this is definitely one of them:) Very cool!
I love the idea! And I feel like it's executed very well overall. I also love the artstyle and the extra touch of the people walking around and the newspaper articles based on your photos. I love the mechanic of pushing the monsters with your shots and not killing them, very original and makes the gradual rise of difficulty feel very fair and fun. Good job!:)
Thought I bought low but then the stock dropped even further so I panicked and sold to save at least a bit of money, then it immediately went up. Lost everything. Wife left me. Lost the kids. Now I live under a bridge with the other wannabe stock bros. 10/10 very realistic. :frog:
The idea and visuals are great! Was a bit hard to wrap my head around the orientation mechanic, it's quite confusing, maybe in there could be a minimap/rotation animation or something similar? Loved the artstyle, looks really cool, overall a fun little game:)
Very fun little game, I enjoyed it:) Might be fun to add some variety to the patterns on a single level (maybe the pattern could change slightly on 50% health of the fish?), because once you figure out the pattern it's just a matter of dodging in the same way for half a minute. Cool submission!:)
Such an original take on the theme! Was a bit hard to grasp the controls at first but once I got the hang of it it was really fun! It is a bit hard to type the abilities in time, maybe a little slow motion while typing an ability could help? Really cool idea and fun game!
A fun little game, having a leaderboard always brings out my competitive side haha. Wasn't able to get on it tho, the controls are really hard and the procedural generation doesn't always let you progress which can get quite frustrating.. Still spent way more time on the game then I should've trying to get the best score possible, guess I just love raging:D
Very nice entry, I enjoyed playing it quite a bit, good job!:)
Could be a bit easier tho haha
Cute little platformer. The artstyle is very cool.
The platforming felt a little off, I feel like the movement needs a bit of friction instead of stopping instantly especially in the air, the dash also felt a little weird, almost like a teleport even. I also wish I could see my health somewhere.
Overall was a fun game tho, made it to the end and had fun doing it:)
Very cool concept, I love puzzle games and the low poly artstyle is very nice! As many here have said I also struggled a lot with knowing when the guards would and would not see me, I think that should be more obvious from the light and shadows. But overall a very cool little puzzle game:)
Such a cool game, I really enjoyed it! Took me a while to understand all the mechanics but once I did it was so much fun, love the card variety! Almost finished it, but the final enemy was left on 2 hp and killed me, yikes! Loved it tho, might be my favorite game of the jam so far, will come back to it again later!:)
Few improvements I thought of (mostly qol):
The fights seem unbalanced, most of them are pretty easy once you get the hang of it and the last one is a bit too hard I feel.
I'd like it if you could replace the cards, as it is now, if you have one selected and change your mind you have to first remove it and then put the other card in the slot.
It would be cool to see all of the stats of all the cards (maybe on hover?), might be just my resolution but I only see the fear one and have to draw each card to see the rest (see screenshot) Screenshot 2025-04-11 191456.png
The graphics are awesome, really love the artstyle. The controls seem a bit hard to grasp and after playing for several minutes I couldn't quite figure out the objective, but it was fun nonetheless:) Really cool rope physics, I can imagine this being a great game with some polish:)
So unique in the controls! Loved it, once you get the hang of it, it feels really fun to navigate the depths. The repairs are also a nice touch, makes it quite intense at times haha:D
Very cute game! I love the focus mechanic feels really nice to play around with. I just wish there was a way to tell which way I'm supposed to focus the next platform (maybe there is and I just haven't figured it out if so, I apologize haha), I found myself standing on a platform and just wishing I would focus the right way and the right amount after jumping to the next one, which I failed to do multiple times:D Would also be nice to have an automatic reset and to disable movement for a split second at the start of a new level. Overall great job tho!
Such a cool game! I love clever spins on classic games and this is one of the better ones I've played! Love the mechanic of going deeper and placing your own 'traps' strategically. Something that happened to me a few times was that the soul flew right between the paddles straight after being released, but I guess that happens in real life pinball machines as well so it makes it more authentic in the end:D
Ok so I did make it to the end and the whole game is just confusing:D I feel like there is a fine line between being mysterious and straight up not giving enough context to the player.
With that said I liked the artstyle and music a lot and the platforming seems really smooth and fair, so overall a pretty good game:)
There is a lot of potential here, I love the random events, got a few good chuckles out of me:) Unfortunately I wasn't really able to grasp the objective and controls of the game, so I couldn't make much progress I just kept bleeding money:D I do think that there is potential and you should continue working on this if you can:)
Very fun game, good job!:)
Nice game, I liked the mechanics, the timed level was a nice touch actually got me sweating for a bit:D Unfortunately couldn't get past the next one, the numbers don't seem to be right (or maybe I read them wrong:D) Would spend more time figuring it out but grabbing of some of the locker points was wonky and it got me too frustrated to continue:D
Very fun game, the controls felt very good and I love the artstyle:) What I missed a lot were checkpoints as making a small mistake and having to return all the way to the start was quite frustrating
I like the idea a lot, a game about collecting trash in the ocean is a great concept! Unfortunately in the current state I couldn't do much:/ There really needs to be a ui to show how much trash you collected so you know when you can buy upgrades. The air also runs out too fast and I had to go up for air after each pickup (sometimes didn't even make it up in time:D)
Very cool! I love the movement so much, feels so fun to just jump and dash around the level:D The puzzles are also quite fun and unique. With that said, the movement is great but it is sometimes hard to see where you're going and I found myself jumping head first into lava a lot:D But had a blast nonetheless:)
Cool unique little game! I love the artstyle, especially the enemies, they gave me a good chuckle when I first saw them haha. I really appreciate procedurally generated levels in game makes it very fresh, but it needs some work as I did get stuck a few times because of it.
Overall a good entry tho, killing enemies is very satisfying:)
Very polished solitaire clone. I just wish it was more... In the back of my mind I was hoping for some kind of twist the whole time I was playing:D
But I do like solitaire so it was fun for me overall!:)
The game is very fun and the artstyle and sound design is great! I just struggled a bit with returning to the drill and got a bit lost at times, but I think that with more skill I could find a strategy that would help me with that. Great work!
Super cool artstyle and music, very cute little game:) I just wish it was more challenging, adding some hazards/enemies would really help the gameplay I feel
It's a great idea, but I don't think it's possible to not go deep into debt haha. (Or maybe I just didn't get it)
Love the artstyle and the music fits quite well. The minigames are a nice touch, but I wish there was more of them, doing the same one over and over gets boring pretty quickly...
Very fun mechanic and nice artstyle, there is real potential here:)
Also the last jump is hardd took me like 15 attempts haha
I like how this game looks and the killing of enemies is really satisfying! The UI is top notch as well:)
The movement feels a bit too floaty and jittery that definitely needs some polish. Also for the love of all that's holy why put the shoot action on E instead of LMB? xD
PS. There is no way the loading screens need to be that long for such a small game, feels like it's loading tons of shaders and 3D models lol. But the loading screen does look cool, so I respect you wanting to show it off haha
The atmosphere is so cool! The artstyle combined with the lighting and sound design really make the game so engaging and mysterious. As many pointed out the controls could use a lot of work, they are not very intuitive and a bit clunky. With that said I did really like the engine mechanic how you speed up/slow down. Very cool entry overall, good job!
Really fun relaxing game! Was pretty chill at the start but once there's more fish to watch out for and the hazard of the net looming it gets quite challenging! The art and music are really cute too and go well together:)
A really cool game! Was thinking about sonars as one of my ideas for the theme but couldn't quite figure out how to execute it and this is a great way to do so! Also not to spoil anything but the ending is actually quite intense:D
So fun! I love how the environment reacts to you as you swim, especially the fish. And the art is breathtaking, amazing that you managed to do all this in such a short timeframe, good job!
Very cool idea, I liked the simple art and music as well, very chill game. A bit too easy imo and the ending could be more of a reward than just the eye opening but overall a very cool entry!
Very fun game! I love the difficulty curve of adding more realms one by one, gets quite hard after the third one, which I love! The art is also really cute:) There is definitely something here, you should make this into a full game, the concept is amazing!
Nice idea, I like the style and the movement feels pretty smooth:) Never really felt any difficulty though. If you go a bit too left or right there are no obstacles anymore it looks like and you can just freely fall deeper and deeper. Very cool for your first jam though, keep it up!:)
@brian-russell Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the game!:)
@bene-labs Thank you for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it!:) I agree that the obstacles should be more distinguishable from the collectables, that's something I will work on in the future for sure.
@scoobysnacks I agree! I was thinking about where to take the game after the jam and the 'kicking' of asteroids is really fun so I should definitely explore that more as a mechanic:)
@nicknickolas Thank you, that was exactly what I was going for!:D
@drsmey Thank you for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the game! Saving the fuel as much as possible is the main skill expression of the game!:) If you come back and play again, try to use the black hole to your advantage by flying close to it and using it's pull for velocity while only tapping the acceleration to steady yourself :rocket:
@minigor Thank you for the feedback! I made the volume of the song in the last part of the game a bit higher for dramatic effect to raise the intensity, but looking back I might've overdone it a bit, sorry about that :frog:
@aldenwitt @flying-butter-studio Thank you, glad you enjoyed my little game!:)
@nomus Thank you! The particles do get a bit much in the later stages, you're right, might have to tone them down a bit after the jam:)
@verttixpertti Thank you for the feedback! All these suggestions are great, I'm writing them down for the future. The no health thing especially as the more people I gave my game for testing the more I am thinking about removing the health altogether, because everyone really likes bumping into the asteroids so I think it shouldn't be discouraged by the health aspect. Might have to rework this after the jam:) Glad you had fun!
@verbante Glad you got it working in the end and enjoyed it:)
@leparlon Thank you! Yea I was trying to be extra with the menu, but probably would be better to just have a simple PLAY button instead:D
@clintor24 I originally made it harder, but I nerfed it for the jam just so people can play it and get to the 'good part' without having to rage and spend 20 minutes replaying haha. But yes, after the jam I plan on making the game harder or maybe adding a hard mode or something, I agree that once you get the hang of it it can get quite easy as it is now.
@tiar Thank you for the feedback! For the theme I was thinking about the space being deep + the 'infinite' depths of the black hole. But I do agree that after playing quite a few entries by now there are quite a few games that fit the theme much better:)
@adamsmccall Thank you for the feedback! Yea I agree that once you grasp the controls and the game logic, you can just stay in the corner and wait, I should add more incentive to move around. Glad you enjoyed the game!:)
To everyone else not mentioned: Thank you so much for all the feedback!:)
@xparker Oh yea that is very similar, I guess it's true that great minds think alike haha
@hexstart Thank you for saying that, means a lot! I really tried hard to make the moment significant even with the little time I had left to do so as I was implementing it close to the deadline:D Great score btw, one of the best I've seen so far, good job!:)
@designernap @zelberor Thank you!:)
The art and the music are so beautiful! Love the idea of tracking time with a candle, although it was a bit difficult sometimes:D
Very cool concept! I like the focus mechanic, I could imagine a whole game being built on this, nice!
Fun little runner style game! I liked it, the dash is a cool mechanic:)
Very cool retro game and a take on the theme! I'm a big rts enjoyer so this was right up my alley! I found that the troops sometimes get stuck if they're heading to an enemy point and it gets captured before they get there, but a simple switch to defend and back fixes the issues, so no biggie:) Great work!
