Awesome pixel art. Controls feel very smooth and polished. The combat feels fluid--nice job on that polish. The game has good potential if you were to take it further.

Finally, a worthy meme game.
I saw your comments on my game: I think you unfairly rated me low on a broken build lol. I've posted a working version on itch.io.
Besides that, yes very interesting that we both had the same idea but the execution was different, yet similar. I really like the sounds. It sets the mood and atmosphere.
I like the art style and how smooth the game felt. You had some nice effects going on, like lighting, particles from the ground, and some slight tilting of the tower.
Very cool! Nice graphics, music, and gameplay. Smooth controls. Great application of the risk vs reward mechanic--I had a few tense moments. Great work!
I love this retro art style. Reminds me of all those CD-ROM DOS game days. I love that we both had the same but interpreted it differently. Very cool to see another game about submarines and sonars.
Love the art style. Cool concept but too deep for me.
Feels like the game is on cocaine--awesome! I do love an explosion of blood particles. Can never go wrong with that.
Awesome style and visual. Everything in this is a work of art!
I love seeing people with the same idea but a completely different execution! I enjoyed the variety of minigames to keep the submarine in tact.
Super dash wheel chair? Hells yea!
Cute art, funny idea.
The chiptune music got me rolling! GL!
Awesome to see a similar idea and concept but executed differently. I love yours--the atmosphere, the mood--very nice!
Interesting idea, I never played anything like it; gave me a chuckle. Love the super cute graphics. Good job!
Like other said, great interpretation of the theme. I forgot about that movie. I'm also a sucker for simple pixel art style. I just wished the player did more damage or there were ways to upgrade. Good job!
Nice game. I love the graphics. The game reminds me of Ridiculous Fishing. Well done!
This is awesome! I love how we both started with the same idea but ended up going in totally different directions—it’s cool seeing another take on it. You absolutely nailed the vibe with your graphics and sound.
Only suggestion I'd have is to tweak the controls a bit. Maybe make turning more intuitive—like using a wheel instead of arrows—and speed it up slightly? I had trouble shaking off the enemies on my tail. Other than that, solid job!
Amazing! Awesome art! Very fun cozy game. Hilarious as well. At first it was very painful to drag things around, but after some upgrades...catching that coin in midair--chef kiss. I'm amazed this was done in one weekend. Well done!
The embedded version doesn't work for me. (Probably a similar issue I have with my game)
Nice cute graphics. I love how smooth the camera is. I wish the controls are a different, as I struggled to platform with just WASD. If it were me, I'd make SPACE jump and SHIFT dash.
Also the game is very hard. The weapon does almost no damage I don't even use it, I just dodge enemies. And there's one section I can't get past: the dash challenge.
I see the potential. GL!
Wow, quite the epic entry. I'm impressed some people can release something like this in 2-3 days. I had a bit of issues getting the game to run. The game blacked out when I went to pilot the ship. But I fixed it by refreshing my browser. It was fun exploring the ship and outer space. The controls a bit janky but I can't blame you. You might also want to include a downloadable version.
Nice bite sized game. Clever use of parallax.
Love the art style. Nice bite sized game. The controls were smooth and responsive. Maybe I suck at these kind of games, but the boss's attacks were too fast for me to react.
Nice take of the theme. Funny story. Very clever. And I agree with everyone else: awesome pixelart of the characters.
Well done guys! I love the jazz music. Very calming when I was digging. Cute graphics. Smooth controls. I wished the beginning didn't feel like a grind.
Cool beats. Love the art style and graphics. Nice little adventure type game. It was fun tho I picked the wrong suspect lol.
Wow, the things some people can make in a weekend. This looks very polished and professional. This is more of a personal preference: I'm not a big fan of backtracking too much. Once, may twice is ok. But regardless, I like the game. Well done!
This game is great! Love the style and music. It got too hard for me for my old reflexes in the later stages.
Lol
Awesome art style and music! Love it!
This game is hilarious. Nice graphics, smooth controls, funny idea! Well done!
Love the old school boomer shooter look. Great atmosphere, very tense. I must admit the controls are a bit clunky. took me awhile to figure how to load the shotgun.
Awesome original idea! Love it!
Love the old school art style and music. Brings me back to my DOS days. All my friends had Super Nintendo and Genesis; I had a 486 and a floppy drive.
Btw, I got stuck where a path was too narrow.
Well done guys! Love the art style.
Creepy sauce! Great atmosphere with the graphics and sounds.
Love the vibe of this game! After some time, my clicks followed the beat and I was in a mediative state. Wild! Funny comments as well!
Love it! This game gave me a good chuckle. Very creative take on the theme.
You should include a downloadable version. I haven't had any luck with embedded Unity games so far...
Well done! Nice small game. I like the risk vs reward mechanic: do I risk running out of breath for more riches or should I take home what I have now? The elevator goes faster the deeper I go. The only thing I would tweak is the amount of oxygen the player gets back, especially deeper in the level.
Love it! I had a similar concept. I enjoyed the atmosphere from the sound, music and lighting. And I like the art style. For improvements, I would make some of the fish as obstacles for the player (unless I missed something in the game) and add some game juice. Well done!
Nice to see another submarine idea and a different interpretation how to make a game from it. I like your pixel art--I wished my artistic ability is half as good as yours. My submarine pales in comparison. (It literally was just a fish)
@iovorobiev thank you for a great feedback. Yes, I originally planned to have the game more challenging as the depth increases: more variety of monsters (enemy alerted by sonar, enemy projectiles, miniboss), higher psyche drain, increased # of enemies, higher enemy hp/damage, more obstacles, etc...
@wuppos thank you for the great feedback! Yes, the Octopus...the AI needs a little tuning. I intended his behaviour as follows: it can detect noise/movements and will go investigate. If you stop moving/making noise, it will also stop. But if you're within sight of it, it will chase you until it dies. It has more hp than the first enemies so upgrading your damage would help taking down the Octopus easier.
It worked better in head. I think this type of enemy would work better in a bigger play area. It was supposed to enhance the sonar gameplay.
Thanks again!
@knarf wow! You're were soooo close. I think you're the only who reached this far, at least one to comment about. About the Psyche mechanics: yea...my bad, I ran out of time/burned out. I had plans for it. The iteration you played is unfinished. Hint: don't buy the Increase Explosive Radius. I didn't play test enough to balance it. Thanks again!
Love the idea and execution. Controls are smooth. Nicely, put together.
It's always amazing to see what a veteran in the industry can do. And with 10+ games under your itch.io belt, it's no surprise you can churn out something like this in 2 days. This game is top 5 for me. Kudos!
