How is this game not at the top?! I love the dialogues in the NPCs, well made game overall.

Calm Waters by justking144 2021-10-05T12:28:46Z

This is really well done! I love the graphics and the mechanic. The mechanic is simple and tbh I liked it quite a lot!

Good try for a first 3D game!

Elephants Never Tumble by zappablamma 2021-10-05T10:07:10Z

It's a really damn hard game I gotta admit. The game relates to the theme quite well! Good job overall~

Gods And Towers by Nerisma 2021-10-05T10:13:56Z

You guys made this in just 3 days?!?!?!??!!? THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED IN THIS GAME JAM. The graphics is superb, and the idea fits really well with the theme. I would suggest making a 1 player mode as some people don't have friends(maybe me?) but really well done!

Well done! I have been stuck at level 7 for who knows how long, hahah! I really liked the 8-bit art, the colors that are showing up on the screen is really really cool. It took me some time to understand how the player grows/shrinks when going close or far away from the enemy (not really sure if it is an enemy), it felt a little hopeless for me at first (though that could just be a skill issue from me) but after figuring out how the player size works it suddenly became really fun. Perhaps doing a very very short tutorial would benefit the more clumsy players (me me me) so they wouldn't get too lost when they first start the game.

Typing at Depth by UkuleleFury 2025-04-17T16:56:53Z

A nice simple and minimalistic game. I do agree with what @vj031206 said, if the game provides some instructions about how the game works, it would reduce some confusion for first time players.

Cheese is the Reason by AXLplosion 2025-04-08T08:40:14Z

This is just a humor masterpiece!!! I was playing this in class and I just couldn't stop holding my laughter and sharing the story with my friends. I could not believe that this game is made in ONLY 72 HOURS!>!>>!!?!?>?! The music also fits my jazzy taste, I'm sure anyone who likes rats or cheese would really enjoy this game.

WELL DONE!

In Focus by miroreflect 2025-04-17T09:45:30Z

This game idea is actually really good, it's quite unfortunate that there are only 5 levels - I would've loved to play more!!!! I think the depth mechanics can be used in more layers, perhaps it could include the mirror/glasses mechanic to give your game more depth.

In Focus by miroreflect 2025-04-19T04:31:44Z

@miroreflect the one I mentioned is the new introduced mechanic in level 4. If it combines with the multilayer depth mechanic, then perhaps it could create more interesting non-linear levels.

Hi, one of the creators of the game here, thanks for playing our game! We are so thrilled that our game have received so much love for the past day and we are glad to hear that the gameplay loop, the controls, or even the music feels good to you all - it means a lot to us!

We also appreciate all the constructive feedback given by all of you, it has been really helpful , we will continue to update the game according to the feedbacks we have received, and hope that it will be more entertaining than it is right now.

- @kamizenki I think digging the top block is possible by pressing the spacebar after pressing W - @ricesteam I'm glad you liked the jazzy music (I made them while being really sleep deprived lol), the grindy beginnings is really a problem we have been trying to solve, but... we have only finished fixing all the bugs 9 minutes before the LDJAM deadline, so we don't have much time to balance our game thoroughly - @marudziik Ooops, we didn't really make it clear that these underground shops show up on every 100 levels - @basekeet Thanks for checking out our game! We have been wanting to implement the different combinations for our bottom upgrades, but we have ran out of time doing most of the other parts of the game. Playing your game has given us many inspirations on how we can improve our game mechanics, and also the different combinations. All the best!

Obsidian Deep by Joseph Tan 2025-04-19T10:33:53Z

@hatmajaster Heya, I just played your game and, it really is very similar!!

We are painfully aware of our game's issue, initially we wanted to implement physical shops down in the mine, but when we got the main mechanics down, we realized that we only have around 9 hours left, with no UI (yes, including the shop and the UI you see underground), no music, no sound effects, no playable game loop. So at that point we're like, yup, let's ditch the ending (and balancing) and make the game playable haha.

Those shops appear every 100 levels and the upgrades are selected in random, when you say restart, do you mean by restarting the game, or do you mean refreshing the different upgrades?

Thanks for your kind words and advices, really appreciate it!

Obsidian Deep by Joseph Tan 2025-04-21T03:05:27Z

@hatmajaster Thanks for letting us know! Don't worry, we really love honest and straightforward feedbacks. As for the skipping shop issue, we didn't have it during development, we will look into it and fix it.

Now that you mention it, putting something to restart the run really does sound like a good idea. The whole game probably feels very stagnant and slow for now.

Deeper by BlackCat508 2025-04-19T04:39:53Z

An nice and easy game idea, I got to depth 5 but the reduced light is really too hard for me to react!

Belials Bellybutton by Kujoen 2025-04-19T04:27:33Z

This is the first game I rated 5 star for everything (except for humor). I usually give a few constructive advices on how to improve the game but this one I just couldn't think of any. If this game doesn't win the game jam I don't know what will. Congrats to you all, this is one of the best games I've ever played in LDJAM 57!

Johnny Depths by Aeoncl 2025-04-09T03:10:45Z

The mood of the game is out of the world, I really liked the part where it turns dark. The only problem are my clumsy fingers when the screen shows the vErY DIffICulT tExtS wHEre I haD TO loOOK reALlY caRefuLLy foR tHe CapItalIzaTioNs!!!

Miner by basekeet 2025-04-08T08:17:09Z

This game has some huge similarities with the one that me and my team has made!!!!!!!

There are so much mechanics here that are well done, especially the fact that you have to activate a certain card by mining a certain ore. The different card combinations are also really fun to play around, I've got a run where I have 5 <- -> cards, and that is pretty satisfying. I would like to point out that the clarity of the function of the cards can be much clearer, if there is an UI that shows what the cards are, and what are they doing, I believe the game would be much enjoyable than it is. Another point is that the time ticking down is not so obvious, making it kind of quick to finish, especially when I have finally got such an awesome combination. Apart from those two points that I made, the game is incredibly well made, with them creative game mechanics.

Congrats on finishing the game jam and creating such an innovative game!

Depth Diver by EddieYang 2025-04-09T05:18:56Z

I have some really hard time controlling the character using the mouse (could be a skill issue from me), but aside from that, the idea is good and the lighting effects made the game a bit spooky.
