It felt very satisfying watching the particles combine and move them into the nucleous.
Sometimes I felt the mouse click was not grabbing propertly. But it just happende to me one time or twice. Specially when particles were sliding fast.
It was an overall pleasent experience, with the nice intro at the beggining with this geeky guy. The voice acting was amazing. Also the Design choices i think they fit the game very well!.
I now sure if frantically grabbing something and flinging if about until it disappears is the intended tactic. Maybe if the game built up a little more slowly it might be easier follow what is happening. Other than that it is a very fun game and looks very good.
Very creative with the theme. Well done!!
That escalated very quickly. I was wondering if anything was going to happen when the phone rang, then all hell broke lose. At first I thought I would need a chemistry degree to figure this out, then i got the hang of it bringing particles back together and adding it back to the base. I wasnt sure if I won or not by holding out. The guy seemed mad at me and told me to get out
NGL, I didn't understand which particles could recombine and why some wouldn't. Also, the difficulty curve is kind of backwards, when things get out of hand it gets more difficult. The graphics are nice and clean and the game is juicy as all hell!
Super funny! Great audio too. I think maybe if i understood chemistry more the gameplay would make more sense, I was just dragging particles around like a mad man!

It's quite an interesting and educational game, and I think your game is pretty for this theme. And your graphics performance is excellent. However sometime I cannot put the particle inside...

This was a great idea, and I enjoyed the story wrapped around it. Things fell apart really fast for me! I found it difficult to grab the smallest particles, but I held out for a while! Well executed and really fit the theme.
That's an original idea and the theme suits well!
I didn't understand how you lose, but the visuals and the gamefeel is so satisfying :) The voicedub and the "rickroll" got me haha
Nice game!
This is CHAOTIC in the best way. Probably one of the best implementations of the theme I've seen to date. Very well done!
I love the feeling of this game, very satisfying ! The theme is also very cool. I would loved to have more colors in the design but the simplicity of it is awesome.
Cool game ! Watching the element changing with loss/add of proton/neutron was a nice take on theme. A bit chaotic at the end. Cool mood too, thanks !
What a crazy clicking... I can't even concentrate on anything.

Haha unstable isotopes was also one of my first ideas when I heard of the theme, although my idea was going in a different direction. This was a great execution of the concept! I loved the theme, and I have to give you huge props on the audio. Very few game jam games have voice acting, and this one was even well acted! The game also had juice, and the particle decaying effects were very satisfying, as were the effects of putting them back together. I chose the hard difficulty, and boy, was that a mistake. So much chaos! I have very little critiques, although I would have liked to be able to skip the tutorial cutscenes when playing the game again. Well done!

Quick and fun gameplay, some 2048 vibes. I wonder if it couldn't become a learning tool in some way, maybe by adding some explanation about elements and stuff in a tutorial menu or something like that.

Game looks and sounds really good and I'm a fan of how chaotic the gameplay is. I didn't think I'd remember stuff from chem when playing a gamejam game lol. Awesome game!
Really creative!!! Great job on this one, kudos to everyone involved 🙂 The voice acting added a lot of personality to the game too. Easy five stars on the theme for me, I really mean it!

For those who have and will rate this game: thank you so much! This was our first time joining a game jam and having such positive and helpful comments are really motivating! Once again, thank you from the team and good luck with your own submissions! Have a good day!
Well done!!
Awesome, totally hectic, fun!
Your interpretation of the theme is great, and you have a solid, if simple, gameplay to support it. Music is fitting and does not get annoying. Graphics are simple, but nice and clear - the color scheme is very pleasant and well-designed. It's perfect really - the difference between the particles is visible at the first glance, and the muted earthy palette makes it easy on the eyes and does not add to the confusion of stuff flying around everywhere.
And the voice-over was an unexpected but a welcome boon
Would be nice to have an ability to skip the intro when you want to replay the game. Also, I'm curious if it's possible to actually do so well that the boss (?) will not tell you to get out? Or is he just always unsatisfied ;)?

Really cool premise well executed, great job!
The voice acted tutorial was a nice touch, even if I did immediately feel overwhelmed by how rapidly things spiraled out of control haha. Nice driving music that made me feel very focused, good sound design on the particles, some nice designs on the particles themselves as well, simple but clean with a clear differentiation between particle types.
My only real issues are that the voice lines can overlap the subtitles if you click too fast, and that the game was pretty hard even on easy - though the chaotic feel really connected it to the theme.
totally brilliant use of the theme :D sometimes it felt like it wasn't picking up when I clicked but maybe that's just me, but it got around it by holding LMB and dragging which was a great solution to build in, congrats on a great game :)
This is an awesome idea and I really enjoyed the gameplay. Such a great use of the theme. Great work!

I'm not sure if I finished it correctly or not, in the end I was left with one thingy that just wouldn't merge with the other thingy. And the voice was mad :D

This was a wonderful little game! I tried to beat it on hard, I put about 3 attempts into it, and gave up, but that's okay, cause I got close. The art is on point, the voice acting is amazing, and the sounds are super addicting. It was really fun to combine the elements together. I played this game for a lot longer than most game jam games I usually play. A problem I had with the web version was that the custom cursor was super glitchy, so I had to download the actual game. Also, I wish I didn't have to watch the cutscene every. single. time. I wanted to play again. I put quite a few attempts into the game, so it was slightly annoying. Other than that, great game! It felt super polished for a game jam game.

The first 10-20s or so, I was just watching it thinking: "Am I supposed to do something?" Then a few bits come lose and I stuff them back together. Again, waiting, I'm thinking that this isn't much of a game. Then shit hits the fan and I can't keep up with what's going on.
It's a bit *unstable* gameplay wise. Like others mentioned, the web version seemed to have some issues with the controls.
Still, this is a solid entry and I had fun!
Just played your game after I saw @aquilart give feedback on my own radioactive decay game; it's really, really good! The trails, screen shake, particles effects, the shadows from the particles, and color palette all really added a lot to the look and feel. Played through it a second time and ended with all particles inside the nucleus, it was cool to see the different voice lines depending on how you did.
I concur with others here that having a quicker way to jump back into it by having a replay button and cutting straight to the countdown would be great; it's just a game with that kind of feel where you want to give it another go.
On that front, I think it fits so much in that loop that it would be even better served if there was a score-chasing element to it; how reduced the nucleus got could be kept track of and your best record can be displayed at the end screen. Trying to beat that would be really fun, and give people an excuse to keep playing!
So cool to see another interpretation on the decay idea. It's funny because we reference having another mechanic implemented that we just didn't get into levels in time, and (as the name of our game suggests) it's alpha particle decay! So really cool to see how you used that here.
Really great work for a first jam game guys; keep it up!
Really interesting concept. And GREAT execution too. From the voicelines/audio and graphics, to the coding. I suspect pretty much everything in here is made to be physically accurate too? Like how radioactive each element is and the reaction chains. If it is physically accurate this game also has some great potential for education.

"This is easy, this is so easy, I got- oh my god they're going everywhere so fast!" hahah that was a lot of fun. I'm glad you gave me some time where I could keep up and then evolved the experience to chaotic stuff going everywhere. It was good to see both phases of gameplay.
The polish on this game is excellent. Animations are nice and bouncy, sound effects really add to every action... it's all great!
And for your first LD jam, big congrats to all of you!

Amazing bgm/sfx + impressing idea, I feel a little bit hard at the final 30 seconds but this is a really nice game! Bravo!!
