this is a really fun concept. I love how fast and smooth the main player handles. 2nd round my character stopped shooting but was able to use the octupus to fight.

Nice little game. Loved the octopus.
Fun game. It's basic but covers all the fundamentals of bullet hell design and feels pretty satisfying to play, even without any sfx/vfx feedback.
Your octopus buddy blocking enemy projectiles and having them "stack up" on his body is a funny interaction but got hurt a few times, not sure if the collisions are intentional :D At some point the main player character stopped shooting, also not sure if that's intentional.
Also, makes sense that you had initially planned to have the enemies move around because in its current implementation with a static camera and static enemies you can just place the cursor over an enemy and basically ignore the whole mouse aim mechanic.

I love bullet hell games, and this is a nice and simple experience! I figured out that if i stood on a corner I could get my octpopus buddy to block most of the shots. I would highly recommend you change the hitbox on the diver, make it a visible dot on its body so its easier to dodge projectiles. I dont know if its a bug but on the stages where there were two enemies i beat the stage by just killing one. Good work!
Impressive for just 11 hours. I'm glad the targets were not moving! :-D

Simple but well working bullet hell game :) The octopus is really cute and everything worked as expected. For 11 hours and 1 person pretty good!

Cute game with pretty art. The only problem is it's too easy. I managed to beat it without moving even once, just putting the mouse cursor on one of the monsters. Didn't even have to kill the other one.
Love the art, especially the octopus! It's fairly easy to stay back on a wall and keep your mouse on the enemies, so I wonder if a shorter range would force the player to go closer to the enemies and dodge a bit more? Great job!

Very fun little game, I enjoyed it:) Might be fun to add some variety to the patterns on a single level (maybe the pattern could change slightly on 50% health of the fish?), because once you figure out the pattern it's just a matter of dodging in the same way for half a minute. Cool submission!:)
With some audio and a few fixes, this game could be a good bullet hell! For some reason, after each enemy, my guy just stops shooting for like 20 seconds.
