Itchio link doesn't work. Maybe you forgot to turn it "public"? :)

silliest-goose 2025-04-07 19:24

@iluvatar That's exactly what I did! It should be fixed now.

eloraju 2025-04-07 19:45

Very nice! It was a bit hard to gauge where they player was from time to time but despite that I managed to power through

I really like the artstyle on this one. I echo what eloraju said; maybe a shadow underneath the player would help make it clearer where you're going to land. I got through most of this but honestly ragequit on the amber drop after I dove into it and it went sailing over the next platform into the lava lol. The slow movement just felt too slow for me to want to try setting it up again.

Wow! What an impressive 3D game, and made by just one person! I haven't dared to try something like that yet, but maybe one day I will! It really deserves credit. The game is fun and I like the level design! I'm using a small laptop and had to set my browser zoom to 90% (1080p) on itch.io, just for your information. As others have mentioned, I would suggest adding a shadow on the ground to help the player with jumping. Still, I think the game is really cool, and honestly, hats off to you for making it in 3D. Great game!

I really liked the clever puzzle design unique to each sample! Also the stick figure animations are amazing, especially the jumping/falling frame with the arms up :)

Very cool! I love the movement so much, feels so fun to just jump and dash around the level:D The puzzles are also quite fun and unique. With that said, the movement is great but it is sometimes hard to see where you're going and I found myself jumping head first into lava a lot:D But had a blast nonetheless:)

Fun! The dash mechanic is especially really great. I found the 2D sprites in a 3D world to be a bit confusing to figure out.

Pretty good, just a bit janky that made it hard to be sure sometimes whether I was actually succeeding because I did the right thing or because I circumvented it.

Unfortunately I think I hit a major bug at the very end: trying to get the diamond, I managed to end up *below* the rising lava without it killing me, and when I accidentally dropped the diamond off the ledge, it was always below the lava and was never reset, so I couldn't get it anymore and wasn't able to finish the game. So close! :(((

Took me probably half an hour to get that far. It was difficult. The heavy one was the trickiest, and the one that felt the least like I was actually solving it correctly and more so getting lucky with the physics quirks. The transparent pictures were a bit confusing because I didn't get it to the minecart by dive jumping. I just jumped with it on my head (not grabbed), then grabbed it in the air and threw it again and it just about made it to the other side.

The stick figure is cute and I like how distinct the different pickups were. I see you opted out of the audio category since it wasn't your music but it was a good choice :)

Fun, just a bit unpolished!

Pretty fun. I found the goose. Sometimes I'd get confused on why and when would the character drop the samples, and this made some of the parkour frustrating, also sometimes throwing the gems up would make them stay at the higher block and sometimes they'd fall of the edge and this also felt inconsistent, though I understand it's all momentum and physics based. Some of the clues were also maybe a bit too obvious, though I suspect maybe without them, the puzzles would end up feeling unintuitive, so I understand why you've added them. The game took me just short of 11 minutes. Good entry!

I like the idea, and the 2D stickfigure in 3D space worked surprisingly well for me.

I'm a bit confused on what the intended solution was for some of the objects.

For the Blood Oval, I cannot jump while carrying it, but I can drop it and jump while it is above me to push it upwards. For the Amber Drop, I am slow while carrying it, but I found that I can still run fast while pushing it, so I pushed it quickly and then grabbed it and jumped when I was close to the ledge.

Felt a little bit like I was abusing a bug, but I don't see how it would have been possible otherwise. If it's intended, it feels unintuitive, because thematically if an object is heavy or sticky, dropping it shouldn't make it lighter.

I really like the vibe of this game, and the way the controls are shown at the spawn looks really good. There are just a few things which I feel are needed to make the game a lot more fun. Mainly being able to move the camera so it doesn't get in the way of you seeing what you are doing, and making it a bit clearer how you are supposed to return some of the samples.

E.g. for the sample on the right I thought it was really intuitive that you drop the sample moving under the ledge since the sample is too big. My next thought was I must have to jump then throw it over the ledge but I couldn't figure out if there is a way to do that, and you can't see any of the things you use to double jump so it isn't really clear what you are supposed to do there.

The sample that you can't jump whilst holding is also a cool idea, but I really felt like the solution should be that there is a way to throw the sample in order to get it to gain elevation but I couldn't see a way to do so. I did figure out that you can drop it on your head and then jump with it but this doesn't make sense to me as if it's too heavy to jump with then this should also not be possible.

Overall though it seems really cool, and with a few tweaks it could be a really fun game :)

This is a great use of 2D and 3D graphics! I really enjoyed how each material has it's own unique puzzle. Great work!

mcramon 2025-04-26 00:41

actually pretty cool concept with clever puzzle elements and adventurous vibe! Obviously cant rate high on art, but other than that a very decent submission

geometer 2025-04-26 00:44

I found this game to be difficult b/c I had trouble telling where I was standing. But, the art is very consistent & crunchy

gamebuilder 2025-04-26 00:46

I wasn't able to beat this game but I did solve some of the puzzles. I think the main idea (a 3D platformer) is well executed. The graphics and music fit together well.
