LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Whiskers of Fear by tinykidtoo 2024-10-22T08:14:33Z

Very fun game. The cat was very scary. Didn't realise you could double jump at first but probably just missed where it said that in the controls. Main improvement would be to make it so you can't survive just walking through the cat. There were times it felt like I should be dying but I was somehow surviving. Otherwise very fun though and I kept retrying until I made it out :D. Huge props for making and finishing a 3d game as well, especially one that plays in the browser.

Crazy Critters by freso 2024-10-22T07:49:14Z

Had lots of fun running around collecting coins and directing my minions to eat slimes. The animation for the slimes getting eaten is really cute. Only improvement would maybe be some extra features to add variety to the gameplay. Also it took a moment to find the last slime. Overall very cute and fun though :D.

Really enjoyed solving the little puzzles. Could probably do with some more audio, maybe some music, but it is hard to get everything done in the amount of time. My favourite puzzle was definitely the last one due to being quite a bit harder. Would have been nice to have a few more hard levels like that but might just be my personal preference. Overall a really cute game :D.

More of a short movie than a game but was still interesting. Only improvement would be to make the text less flashy so it's easier on the eyes to read, and make it so you can press next more quickly for those of us who read really quick. Other than that great entry :D.

A Tale of Pink Kittens by Danila Lihotin 2024-10-11T23:57:03Z

Graphics was very impressive especially in the early levels. The genre seemed to take a pivot from an rpg talking to people set in a home/school setting, to a fighting game set in hell, which was a little jarring but I think it could work. It is an interesting idea anyway :). A little difficult to equip weapons and such but I figured it out. I liked the details from interacting with objects such as how the main character's dad left them, and things like that. Overall a very cute game.

The Enchanted Forest by Evelyn_Rudaleva 2024-10-11T23:41:18Z

The art is amazing. Wasn't really sure what you are supposed to do though and ended up stuck in a room I couldn't escape from. Not sure if that's a bug or I lost the game or what happened. Some more instruction would be nice :) It looks really cool though.

Hell's Kitchen by DavidZ 2024-10-22T08:29:24Z

Was fun squashing the bugs. Was tricky keeping track of the 3 screens at once (in a good way). Also having clocks you can click to pause the bugs was a great idea. Wish it had a full screen button so the game wasn't so tiny though. Also I'm not sure if it's intended but you can click on the camera on the left to squash bugs on any of the screens from one screen. Maybe it would be good if instead clicking on the mini screens swapped to that screen that way there is a mouse only option? Overall a fun entry :D.

LD57 — Depths

Recursive Depths by mao 2025-04-26T00:04:24Z

This is a really cool idea. I had a little trouble figuring out what the rules were for when you can go down etc, but once I had figured out the game I had a lot of fun. Some audio / animations would be nice to make it clearer when you take damage or use a key etc but obviously you can't get to everything in a game jam :)

The Deepest Diamond by Silliest Goose 2025-04-26T00:16:35Z

I really like the vibe of this game, and the way the controls are shown at the spawn looks really good. There are just a few things which I feel are needed to make the game a lot more fun. Mainly being able to move the camera so it doesn't get in the way of you seeing what you are doing, and making it a bit clearer how you are supposed to return some of the samples.

E.g. for the sample on the right I thought it was really intuitive that you drop the sample moving under the ledge since the sample is too big. My next thought was I must have to jump then throw it over the ledge but I couldn't figure out if there is a way to do that, and you can't see any of the things you use to double jump so it isn't really clear what you are supposed to do there.

The sample that you can't jump whilst holding is also a cool idea, but I really felt like the solution should be that there is a way to throw the sample in order to get it to gain elevation but I couldn't see a way to do so. I did figure out that you can drop it on your head and then jump with it but this doesn't make sense to me as if it's too heavy to jump with then this should also not be possible.

Overall though it seems really cool, and with a few tweaks it could be a really fun game :)

Game and Physics: Water Cat by MoD_Wiz 2025-04-25T23:51:00Z

Really enjoyed the puzzles, and the mechanics worked really well together. Considering how much time you have to spend floating in the water maybe it would be good if the cat was easier to control when in water and just swam along the top? Other than that a great great with good potential for even more levels and mechanics :)
