Nice one, simple but creative

jver422 2025-04-08 02:53

high energy, nice beats, fun game. colliders can use a little work, but that's a jam game for you!

arthur-tang 2025-04-08 02:58

ian-mcd 2025-04-08 03:14

Great work, cool game juggling all the minigames (moving, keypad, errors). Really like the art and ui feel.

yanvs 2025-04-08 05:20

realy bealtiful game, i just died cause of a dead end, has no option for me there, before it it was easy, it needs to be well balanced i think. Anyway i top rated this game cause it fits in the aspects that asks for stars.

i-pots 2025-04-08 05:43

There will always be small window ups appearing, although they can be closed, they are very troublesome for me. Besides, the game itself is very exquisite! The style of the UI is very fitting, perhaps because I haven't played much time and have only discovered the gameplay of mining so far. Great work!

2025-04-08 05:56

The UI font choice is visually consistent with the game's art style, featuring a robust mechanical design complemented by the dangerous red and cold cyan color scheme. The use of saturation to distinguish different UI layers is well executed, with just the right balance between saturation settings and the Bloom effect. I really appreciate the error reporting design – it feels dense with information, making it both engaging and immersive.

However, since the game contains quite a few elements, it can feel slightly overwhelming for new players at the beginning. Some fonts are not particularly easy to read, especially when the information density is high, which can occasionally make the experience a bit confusing.

Additionally, the randomly generated block feature sometimes leads to dead-end situations where the player gets stuck without any way to proceed. This could be a bug, but if it's intentional, I think it’s quite cool – I actually enjoy this small touch of “malicious design.”

I also like the nearby password lock puzzle mechanic, but it seems to only increase the score. I initially thought that failing too many times or skipping it would result in a difficulty increase.

Regarding the random error QTE mechanism, it seems that its spread and frequency do not change significantly throughout the game. As a result, the difficulty mainly hinges on the bullet-hell attacks and the block obstacles. It might be more interesting if, during the later stages, the spread of QTE errors increased or the number of occurrences became more frequent.

Overall, I think it’s a truly impressive design with a lot of potential!

cure 2025-04-08 17:47

got 1150. Game is pretty fun, a bit more info in the tutorial would have probably helped improve the experience.

grizeldi 2025-04-08 17:56

Where's my adblock?

Jokes aside, I love how much effort you put into art, seeing the final version of the arm animation I've seen in the feed sometime during the jam really makes you see the progress, even if the final result is a tad bit low res. That said, I feel like the game is trying to have 3 different clashing art styles that don't really fit together (the graffiti style title, realistic cyberpunk arm animation and then pixel art in the actual game).

Gameplay wise, it took me quite a while to understand what the keypad is supposed to do, maybe making the keypad work with the numbers on the keyboard as well would make it more intuitive.

Apart from those, great work :raised_hands:

owinmowe 2025-04-08 17:57

This was a solid game. Well done!

oxnh 2025-04-09 02:55

Nice game. The sound effects for breaking the blocks was really satisfying, and the game had a strong coherent theme. However, the game play seemed slightly disjointed to me the way you had to juggle 3 things at once. It made the game hectic and fun, but I didn't really understand what entering the codes did. Seems more like a skill issue, so good job.

ammonit 2025-04-09 05:24

Poor kitty! - Meeeeeeeeoooooowwwww

arenavgust 2025-04-09 05:46

Damn that was cool, great work!

martta 2025-04-09 06:00

Nice game, I really like the pre rendered main menu :D The graphics were not too coherent, but really nice for a ludum dare game. The controls seemed unnecessarily clunky, I think the movement should have been max 3 buttons but now it was 5. I did not understand what was the benefit of the numpad. Thank you for nice game <3

sleepyfikou 2025-04-09 06:01

Cool game! Great music and art, and I liked the multitasking element forcing you to focus on several things at once. The core gameplay is simple, but when you have to focus on dodging the errors, closing the windows, and entering the captchas, it adds up to be pretty engaging.

nuelijarma 2025-04-09 06:04

Excellent! Coherent visuals, sounds and everything.

joey-vrij 2025-04-09 06:20

immediately got stressed for the red line approaching (in the most positive way). Nice and simple to use character controls. The music and some fit the vibe of your game. Really well done! Where I would like to see it improved/expanded upon if you want to further develop this: - upgrades/items you can use. - different layers of depth having different physics/pros&cons for gameplay variety. - maybe the errors entering less at the start and more and more the deeper you go.

ayu 2025-04-09 06:21

Art style is so cool

velis69 2025-04-09 06:23

Cool cyberpunk game, by the way, we also have something similar but in 3 d and shooter be sure to appreciate our game comrade!

dandee 2025-04-09 09:42

Honestly the best game I've played so far! UI and mini game in the game made it unbelievably fun! Well done!

scoobysnacks 2025-04-09 09:59

Edging my Digger rn

Strong cyberpunk vibe, i only wish i could dig horizontal with the same button as move. Main menu is very cool.

ottobroccoli 2025-04-09 10:07

Addictive gameplay, good music and graphics, great job!

tori 2025-04-09 10:17

Wow great entry, cool take on the theme, graphism and music are very cool and i loved the mecanic of closing windows and typing code, it's a great twist on a gameplay that could have been too much of a "deja vue" otherwise, bravo !

forger801 2025-04-09 10:23

изображение_2025-04-09_132139940.png

Ads blocking view and codes on right side are great ideas! I played dig oddysey not so long ago, your execution of digging down is way more intense and and i like overall stylistic

pandalk 2025-04-09 10:29

1:30 and 1700 points the difficulty spike at the beginning made it difficult to get into the game, but after a game or two, I managed to go far, it was fun

soul-grinder 2025-04-09 11:11

Very nice game! The title screen with the 3D animated arm was cool too. Great audio and frantic fun gameplay, I managed to score a 2100 after a few goes

d-demetori 2025-04-09 11:16

Pretty cool game loop, enjoyed the game!

plidomo 2025-04-09 11:25

This was really great, and really stands out out of the games I've played so far! Title screen is amazing, music fits the game really well and everything in the game is really coherently put together.

You've struck an amazing balance with the difficulty - it was fun trying to focus on both sides of the screen at the same time, and I fell in a hole at one point that I couldn't get out of because I was focusing on the code input, which felt really fair as a reason to lose!

I noticed some slightly inconsistent behavior with the falling ERROR messages:

ok-left.png

If I pushed against the right and let go, I was safe from the error messages

not-ok-right.png

However if I pushed on the left side of a block and let go, the error messages got me, causing a death at this point. I died a couple of times when I wasn't sure what got me - think it was this?

Hope that's OK!

bismark 2025-04-09 11:28

Very neat user interface and graphics. Sounds and music adapted to the game. Respected theme. But honestly, I don't understand the mechanics; so I didn't see much of the gameplay other than digging in a straight vertical line. Too bad for me.

atoxigner 2025-04-09 11:43

Thank y'all for all the comments, feedback, and suggestions, we really appreciate it and will keep working on it!

mathieu-chougui 2025-04-09 11:53

That's a very nice entry! I love the fast pace and all the little things to do, very intuitive interface (without reading any explanation I picked up what I had to do in a few seconds).

Thanks for the game, and good work! :)

afganistan 2025-04-09 12:07

Great work, cool game!

monogatari 2025-04-09 12:26

Really cool game, love the code to enter and the popups coming on the screen haha, the animation menu is wonderful tho ! Music and sfx are really nice !

pikario 2025-04-09 12:34

2025-04-09_14-29.png

Love it, great ambiance, great gameplay, great music! Well done! At first I did'nt understand the error messages were evil (I tougth it was part of the aesthetic) maybe making them more dangerous visually might help

(i love how you describe everyone contribution in laudatory terms, seems you all had a great jam!)

lyamgtt 2025-04-09 12:49

Love the art and the UI, the game is quite simple but really fun to play, well done ! :)

jona-scheidig 2025-04-09 19:04

I wasn't half a close as some others here, but I do quite like the games core gameplay loop. Its training your multitasking ability without being too much. The UI, soundtrack and art are all really well made.

Good job ^^

thiradil 2025-04-09 20:49

Simple concept but incredibly well done, managing 8 peoples in such a short time must have been a challenge, good job

arthur-tang 2025-04-09 21:13

Thanks for the feedback @plidomo. We will adjust the 2d collider of Error messege real soon.

arthur-tang 2025-04-09 22:01

Thanks for the feedback @pikario. We have adjusted how 3RROR looks and added glitch effect to make it look evil 😈

arthur-tang 2025-04-09 22:02

Thanks for the feedback @yanvs. We have adjusted the algorithm for undestroyable cubes' generation. You should not meet a dead end now.

volkolak 2025-04-10 08:54

I liked the game! After 2000 thousand it became much more difficult. It would be good to make the errors more obvious evil in terms of design. But otherwise it's a complete game, very pleasant. I scored 2400.

ronalchue 2025-04-10 08:59

Interesting idea with the setting and it's very cool that the mechanics are combined with this idea, you see the logic. Very solid work, congratulations!

atoxigner 2025-04-10 09:18

duke-ua 2025-04-10 09:54

The cyberpunk look is super cool—it totally sets the mood right from the start. Everything feels really polished, which is impressive for a jam game!

Gameplay’s simple but kept me hooked, and it has that “just one more try” kind of feel. Definitely feels like something you could build on even more if you wanted to.

Awesome job, had a great time playing!

kahztein 2025-04-10 10:03

Score.jpg

Very fun game! There's a certain focus you need to have to balance all the tasks properly, if you start panicking at all things go downhill so fast. It's a neat game mechanic. Also feels extremely polished, the music, art, and game feel are done so well.

You all did a great job working together to pull this off during the jam. Well done!

texugo 2025-04-10 11:58

Wow, great way to work with the theme! I got stuck a few time in dead-ends because a pop up appeared and I couldn't see the blocks in time and had a little trouble managing the different buttons to walk and break the side blocks, I think having only one button that does both things would be great (like the space button that already makes you go down). Great game, fun to play, beautiful art!

bjornstenlund 2025-04-10 14:23

Wow really nice game!

The menu is insanely polished! Great pacing with short runs of just a couple minutes! Overall just great :)

But since the point of these comments is to give feedback . . . To me, speeding up the game on missed captchas sort of competes with the core concept of the screen getting more and more cluttered while speeding up on it's own accord. Maybe failing a captcha could instead just spawn 3 windows? or maybe have a row blocked that you need to have entered the captcha before you can pass? I think it could be balanced basically the same, but communicating the popup idea even clearer :)

I think that I'd prefer WASD movement -> so dig left right with A and D and dig down with S. I can see that forcing the player having to concentrate at multiple things at once fits the game. But once again, the core concept is strong enough, and I didn't like it when I accidentally tried to walk left instead of digging left.

Anyways, well done! It's a banger

sayeg 2025-04-10 14:28

Super tight concept!

ngryyyyy 2025-04-10 18:21

Reached 4500 ! Solid game and very funny + addictive ! I liked it a lot, especially the Cyberpunk mood ! And I went back and fort from main menu to tutorial menu just to see this arm animation play again :D Congrats guys solid proposition !

defrag 2025-04-10 22:41

The title menu is pretty sweet, and the theming seems to fit together very well. Cyberpunk was definitely communicated; however, I felt like there was a point in playing where I was a little disappointed by what the core game loop ended up being. The CGL was well-executed (move/dig while unblocking your vision), but felt jarringly simple when compared to the investment in the cyberpunk theming. Overall, that is a small gripe in a well-execute jam entry!

defrag 2025-04-10 22:42

Oh, and like others are saying, I didn't understand the keypad on the right. In fact, I don't even think I perceived it was doing anything until I went back and played again. Only then did I notice that it was asking me to type in something.

toreskovic 2025-04-10 23:02

Pretty great! Loving the cyberpunk UI and the chaos of having to do multiple things at the same time.

platonenko 2025-04-10 23:54

a lot of work has been done, great art and the gameplay is very interesting! great job!

pickens-inc 2025-04-11 00:08

I think everything I have to say has been said, it's a good loop and very polished! Some of the actual implementation could be improved. I definitely noticed a bug where hugging a wall and digging would cause the character to skip the block in front of them and dig out the one beyond.

think I'd find the experience *much* smoother if movement in general was removed? I know that sounds weird, but what I mean is that I feel like pressing the dig directions should have the character "dash" to that position in the grid. There's not really a need for platforming, and there's no situation where I felt like I'd need to dig somewhere I don't then need to move to. It would let me just feel a lot more free to get lost in it! And yes as others said I'd totally make the captcha more obvious that it's present, and maybe tone down the popups a little. It's a ocol idea but does get a bit frustrating quickly. The music and sound design is excellent, I love the wya them usic hcanges and has that filter applied when in the menus. Not sure what the menu animation is about but it looks sleek!

daniel 2025-04-11 02:12

very cool arcade-y gameplay loop, I liked the intensity ramp up and the UI elements were great

protzz 2025-04-11 16:42

I like it, good job!!!

pacific14 2025-04-12 18:05

Cool setting! GOod job!

caer 2025-04-12 18:17

A fun and engaging gameplay loop, with great polish! It was neat having to handle "captchas" and modal dialogues while focusing on digging ever-downwards. I found the controls for digging left/right a _little_cumbersome (having to swap between a/d and q/e), but I'm not sure what the best way around these would be.

jag 2025-04-13 02:16

Great game! The music was nice and fit the cyberpunk aesthetic. I liked the pixel art too. Good polish!

lcstark 2025-04-14 18:51

Pretty cool entry! Graphically it looks really great! There is a bit of a disconnect between the menu animation, the graphic interface and the main playing area, but they all look amazing in their own right. The movement feels pretty smooth and responsive, and the animations and sounds are reinforcing that feeling pretty nicely. Once I somehow managed to press "E" and instead of mining the block next to me mine one further away, but I wasn't able to reproduce this issue. Other than that, everything worked as expected. It's well designed and gives you the feeling of skill progression - first playthrough I failed in mere seconds, but each one after that got slightly longer and a few times I felt invincible for a few seconds, able to just dig the right way through while outrunning all the errors. :D One thing I didn't enjoy was when my good run was ended by getting into a dead end without a way out:

ed2.png

Not having those would probably be preferred, but maybe they could serve some purpose as additional (rare) obstacles and you'd need another mechanic (like jumping) to trace your steps back a few blocks and choosing a different way?

Overall, it's a solid fast-paced game! I'm not very good at it, but it did give me the feeling of getting better with each run, not to mention the "one more run!" approach seemed to come naturally. The soundtrack definitely helped with that. :)

oeuegha 2025-04-15 10:10

Neat, like idea with pop-upped windows.

x2shadow 2025-04-15 14:51

Yo! Very cool game, loved the intro UI :D Result.jpg

cynderen 2025-04-15 20:06

Amazing work, one of the best games i've played this time!

whalejam 2025-04-21 15:48

Pretty fun! The art is nice and the UI art fits well with the actual game art, I was so focused on the main game and popups that I didnt notice the right panel for a while lol. I think it would be nicer to have 1 button to dig instead of switching between space, q and e. Nice to have a volume button too! Nice job ^^

vityusha 2025-04-25 04:53

That rocks ! All of the elements of the game really enhance this cyber asetetic. I love the the visuals and the fonts. The music is fire ! The game feels pretty polished as it has many animations and different details. The only difficulty for me was the input buttons. Personally for me it wasn't so comfortable to dig pressing Q/E. But all other aspects are great !
