It was a nice little game! I got all the fishes safe one.
Fishes are pretty, the phone is a good idea, the game runs smoothly, the bubble sounds are funny hehe, and now I am filthy rich with a red bathyscaphe!
Minors complaints would be: - The phone's size increases slightly when looking at the bestiary or the notepad. - A shortcut to open/close the phone would be nice. - Sometimes I have trouble taking pictures after moving, even after all upgrades? It might be that I still try to aim too far.
That was fun! Good choice of music. The various sprites mesh rather well. The controls work nicely. I tried to stick as much as possible to the walls, it seemed like a good strategy hehe. Good work :D
That was a nice game! I couldn't find any jug though, I don't even know what they look like. The game feels nice to play. The sounds work well. I like that enemies are kinda afraid of the light the character emit. Nice job really!
Cute and simple game. There is a 3 rock formation in a line whose first boulder I could enter, and moving left from there killed me. Also the game threw an error when I pressed "quit". Controls are responsive, and the speed the game allows is quite addictive. As others already said, going too fast leads to mistake and defeat; it's nice, it plays on greed, I like it. Good job :)
Excellent game! Feels very nice to play, challenging enough, makes me hungry. Really it's well executed.
Very nice game, extremely cute. The main mechanic surprised me! Mechanic, visuals, sounds, everything ties well together. I had a lot of fun discovering the characters and the places. Very solid entry :D
I find the musics don't transition very well one to the other. The text "break lid with hammer" very briefly appeared when I entered the terrarium. Similar things happened again during my playthrough.
The controls are tight, and the game looks very clean: the execution is overall excellent.
It think it's way too difficult, even from the very start. Maybe having the first few checkpoints separated by only 1 or 2 obstacle/cavern shape would better teach the controls? Either that or curiosity could drive the player to persist (small moving animals to discover, a more open-ended world, old relics buried in the stone to marvel at [I know all of these would take *a lot* of time to implement]).
Nice little game. On my first attempt I failed but got used to the mechanics, and on my second one I just executed things until everything was running smoothly. Quite satisfying.
Overlapping sprites tend to flicker, and not all of them are at the same resolution, so it can look a bit weird sometimes. The music is simple but does the job. I like that we can see the earth on the background. Overall the ambience is nice! Good job :)
That was a fun game! The scope is well contained, the visuals are nice (I like the floating particles, they break the monotony nicely), the audio is good (I don't like the grapple movement sound, the rest and the music are very nice). Great entry, good game :D
Worst way to go deeper and deeper. Love it.
The atmosphere is nicely conveyed with art/music. I wish the step sounds were more synchronized with the animation. It was nice to discover this small story :)
Very very nice game. Fun mechanic, everything holds together and the scope is well defined.
I just had a error right after the ending: An error occurred running the Unity content on this page. See your browser JavaScript console for more info. Kinda lost, like most people. I too like the music. I think the color palette gives a nice vibe, I like it. Shrinking to progress is a nice idea, I think there is a huge potential (fun with fractals, interesting views, a look at things we don't usually consider, etc).
Straight to the point and fun :)
Objects tend to disappear while they are still on screen, this can be a bit confusing. Also most assets tend to have different pixel size, so it's a bit weird visually.
The sounds are cute, they work very well. Drilling is satisfying. I like that I can go full horizontal, so that I can "hold" for a bit.
Ended up playing much longer than I expected. Stopped when the webpage froze :/ It's cute, the musics are nice, the overall mood is very nice. Once I got the hang of the controls things started to run very smoothly and I got lost in the game. Well done!
At the start of the game I have to buy a spaceship to delay the big asteroid. This leaves me with enough money for 1 turret, but I was only ever able to break 1 small asteroid with a turret. So I loose quickly every time, without feeling like I can make a difference. Did I miss something?
Very nice atmosphere, you nailed it. I feel like the inevitable is easy to delay once you understand the different systems. I never ran really out of coins as their was always a Toilet Paper after I used all my coins. Nevertheless, very enjoyable game you have here :)
I survived 3 days and a few seconds! Is there a better strategy than alternating between the closest cave and the bottom-right merchant? May I suggest that water freezes during the night? That could incentivize to fill more ponds and quickly collect everything at morning.
Fun game! It took me more time than I would admit to figure out the bonuses :p Interesting that I can exit a 2 tiles deep pit by jumping on my own bomb. Cleverness! Tension!
Charming! For some reason it did not run smoothly for me (1 big "pause" per level) but aside from that everything is well crafted and coherent. I misread the instructions and only realized you could move laterally on the last level, so I thought at first that the falling boulders were supposed to loose you health to make things harder haha.
A solid entry! It took me some time to understand precisely what I was doing with the orbs, and it felt rewarding to get it and reach the end. I never found the light (?) though. It has some potential to be expanded: what if I could fall into the holes? Then the end section without light would be very tense. What if there was only abstract symbols on the tiles? Then I would need to explore and take notes. Anyway, nice game and congrats on doing all of that in 48h!
Start digging, immediately stop digging, collect money, repeat until you have a lot of cash so you can buy your dream machine and permit! This museum director paid me to do nothing hahaha. Great game, you can be proud!
Unfortunately the game does not work for me. It loads and I get a black screen.
1371m! It's simple and effective.
Fun game! And it has some potential to be expanded further. Clever use of Orpheus & Eurydice.
I think I missed something? There are a few things that did not work as I expected: - pressing 8 does not change the next platform's length. - pressing 7 is always enough to get to the next platform, I reached a score of 100 and then stopped. - twice toward the beginning a platform spawned at the top of the screen, making it unreachable.
I navigated patiently, it was a chill experience. Great concept!
@wuppos Oh I would have loved crossfades! Unfortunately the Ink engine does not allow this by default, and we did not have the time nor the skills to implement this in Javascript.
Charming! Focused and well executed. I beat the boss in 1m57 :)
A cool little puzzle, thanks :)
There are a lot of things to love about this game: the radio that can turn on/off the music, the pretty main scenery, the music that is never too much nor too shy, etc. I feel like the 12 objects are illustrated in a style that clashes slightly with the rest of the game, a bit too cartoony. Congrats to all of you!
At the first occasion I stacked myself with banes using all the rerolls available, which allowed me to easily DESTROY MY ENEMIES WITH THUNDER AND FIRE. Then I discovered rerolls were infinite? Oh boy... A nice little game, good work!
Charming everything! Congrats on doing everything by yourself.
The game kinda encourages you to clean the level yourself, then carry the girl from the start to the end: safer but slower.
It's fun, congrats! I like that you added a leaderboard.
I am not sure I understand what is happening, but if just click fast I win. Thanks math :)
Excellent! Coherent visuals, sounds and everything.
I'm not sure I understand how to win. With some trial and error I could understand that you can send people on other planets, and grab the funny bouncy asteroids. Bu after that? I don't know. Still, great art, cool music, charming atmosphere.
Wow! I too wrote 4 small tunes to be hidden around a map (but with a team for the rest of the game haha) While playing and around the third tune I thought to myself "uh, wouldn't it be nice if they played all together at the same time?". And they did! It brings a satisfying conclusion conclusion to the whole affair. Congrats for the game and surviving the compo format :)
That's way too much to handle for my small brain. Extremely fun, nice sounds, nice concept, cute graphics. Well done!
I thought it was chill, then it got real as I started to understand what was going on. The difficulty is well tuned, I could not buy the end but thought "damn, if I was intentional from the start maybe I could have?". Great job! It's a very well executed concept
It's very fun and all the animals are charming. Great job!
Charming if a bit easy. The drawings are all super cute!
