Really fun little game ^^ The art style is very beautiful An auto clicker is your best friend here, but very charming and relaxing experience, well done!

Nicely done! :) Love the simplistic art style ^^ Very relaxing game
Nice visuals, especially the perspective you look from. The soundtrack is really well done, but I find the controls abit hard for my taste. But still... very cute little game
Neat little game. True to retro style with fitting sounds ^^ Well done :)
The artstyle is amazing, and the sounds are well designed. The gameplay is smooth, but personally... I'm too stupid for these games ^^
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUU! Love the art style of this game, and the sound cracked me open. Great game jam entry ^^
Love it, such a unique idea! You really broke down the theme into its parts, haha.
Love the soundtrack and the art, very well done ^^
I really like the idea of controlling the van, and your character inside the van. Could bring even more gameplay oppurtunities. The van feels very fluid and its really awesome to drive. Well done ^^
Very nice strategie game ^^ Love the soundtrack and the retro style. Very well done
I love these kind of games, that lets you choose your destiny. Very atmospheric, and the color palette is really fitting. Very well done! ^^
Nice little game. The artstyle is cute, and the gameplay is very well done. The main song, could have been an own version however. I think everyone knows it
Veeery cool. I really like the aesthetic and I found myself intreaged somehow. Maybe because the atmosphere is very nicely achieved. I was actually kind of tensed up while playing. Love these dark games alot!
One Note: The abilities don't seem to add alot to the gameplay tbh
Super relaxing and beautiful game. The sounds are amazing and the visuals stunning. Great job!
Nice little cosy game ^^ The art is fantastic and the sound design is really comfortable to listen to. I love that the characters feel alive. Great job!
P.S. I dont want to be a nitpicker or anything, but one has to be abit careful with swearing, so maybe it can help to add on the page, that it includes "swearing", tho thats really not a big deal, just pointing towards it ^^
Amazing! Love the aesthetic and the visuals. And that banger in the background's awesome! Also love the little physics chain. Very well done :)
Short fun little game ^^
Super dope game! Love the style and the soundtrack. Very creative implementation of the theme ^^
Abit random, but who cares, creativity goes far. The sounds are abit loud and not too pleasant, but I like the overall concept of the game ^^
I think the idea of a pizza delivery guy in a post apocalyptic world is just hilarious. Well done ^^
I really like the art direction and the vibes its giving. However the jump and run part doesn't feel to well, since you get stuck on the edges quite alot. But other than that a nice little experience. The only things missing, are some sounds ^^
Very fun little game. Probably the longest I've played a game jam title. Very simple, but effective. I personally really like danmakus.
Everbody's gotta love retro games. I really love the sounds and the art design here. Very well done :)
Very inovative idea, and a nice gameplay loop. Very polished! Well done ^^
Thanks ya'll for the nice feedback ^^ Means alot to me. For all of you who got stuck, which version did you play the game on? Windows, Linux or Web? So that I know where to fix it :)
@calamador
Thanks for the kind review ^^
I actually didn't know you could type in the bosses text field mid sentence :O Thats honestly pretty hilarious. If our team does want to make a sort of finished mini game out of it, we'll definitly add that mouse button hold action, aswell as other enemies and an actual boss fight ^^
Might make a little story aswell... but thats to see
Now thats the delivery service we need! Love the art style and the sounds! Very loyal to true retro style game. Very well done!
What a banger soundtrack accompanied by a solid twin stick shooter ^^ Nicely done!
amazing pixel art, the animations are smooth and the gameplay is fluid. Its takes abit to get the hang of it, but its really fun. Well done :)
Really neat idea with the slot machine spawning them as toys. The sounds are also really high quality ^^ Well done! Was probably not simple to make a grid based game, so props to you!
Brother! That oughta be the funniest game of the jam so far. I love the good ending! Legit what I thought when the jam started :D
very cool little game! I really like the AI in this game, since the attacks are well balanced and the unique attack patterns give some extra touch! I'm actually working on a little project myself where I'm trying to implement ai like that, so I'd also be extremly curious how you made it that smooth ^^ But nontheless really nice :D
@lonelygamedev Well you blend them both very well ^^ For example the basic enemy has a really responsive attack, taking a step back to charge into an attack, which can take the player by surprise. And the hammer enemy making a big stomp. Really responsive. I'm currently trying to implement the sameish enemies. One of them being a ranged enemy and the other being a melee enemy :)
The sound effects are really cool here. And it's actually not that simple... one has to think abit ^^ Well done
Honestly, this should have alot more reviews! I think you got smth really special here. Not only does it looks fantastic, it also plays very well. And for the time we had in the jam, the game has some pretty good complexity which is very polished. So much love in here, this could very well be a full release!
Well that was interesting! ^^ First of all the design and movement are pretty cool gotta say. Although the movement was abit too "slidy" so you sometimes got destroyed directly when entering a room because you couldn't slow down fast enough. The turret enemies where place really well and the little minigame on the seconde floor was a nice addition. But there wasn't too much variety in the rooms, so it was actually a smarter idea to make the general game shorter.
A nice 8-bit chiptune could have made the experience even better, and some sort of ranged attack or a bullet deflect system. Overall cool game with slick visuals ^^
Good job!
Not long ago I played the new Indiana Jones game (was a blast) So was this, altough your game was 3 times as difficult, haha.
What I really liked about your game was the simplicity, yet smoothness in your gameplay. You made a mini metroidvania which was really cool to see. I found the platforming to be rather hard sometimes, but nothing unplayable. The pixel art was "simple" but smooth, specially in the animations.
Love how your game turned out. And props to you for finishing it!
Wow... this... is... SUCH A COOL ENTRY! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable! I love it! Its adorable!
I love it... its adorable
Aweeeeeeeeeeesome. I dunno, really enjoyed it. Felt super unique. Its like simple, but its like good simple. The fact that you dive into the toilet and drill your way to the bottom is such a fun idea.
Can't say more, but awesome job!
Wow, short but polished game! The mechanic to clap is actually really cool and the setting made you wonder where the game will head towards.
Quite enjoyed it, gotta say ^^ Some NPCs or smth could have made it even more interessting. People living in the dark, searching for any light source or smth.
Anyways, awesome job!
WOW, just WOW. How did you make these drawings in this short time!? Thats so amazing. The idea is a seller aswell, so innovate and creative, fantastic. Amazing job to all of you!
This is art! How did you make the pixel art in only 72 hrs o-O There must have been sleepless nights. As a pixel artist I am extremly impressed.
Great entry!
kill a few worms / get money / buy dynamite / CAUSE ABSOLUTE MAYHEM!
10/10, would dynamite again
Satisfying to play, and good thought out level design. Could be a great mobile game too! What could add some more motivation to keep on going through the different levels are perhaps some new mechanics that involve the player to use their current arsenal in combination with a new function. But other than that I see your passion in making it feel good.
Keep it up!
You had the same idea as we did, just with better excecution ^^ Extremly smooth to play and very responsive! The level design is really fitting aswell
Good job, keep it up!
Now this is innovation! This is incredibly well excecuted. Polished, beautiful, smooth, idk what to say more. Its very well thought through too. Like for example, that smth hitting the floor emits a little audio cue with a visual feedback. The different items adds to variety which makes every stage feel like a new challenge.
For what time you had this is a great game.
YOu CAnT dO tHat tO mY pOoR HEarT! That jumpscare at the end almost made me jump out of my seat... Need to recover from that
But the game itself is really cool. I bet it must have taken forever to make this wall effect
Atmosphere was really nice too, but I agree with some, that the navigation was sometimes abit frustrating. Im actually quite glad I got to finish it, because my navigational skills arent too good
Man, I just love PICO-8 games, they're so well designed and cute. Your game not only looks awesome, but the gameplay loop is very fun and keep one engaged. Only thing that could have been done is to ramp up the speed and difficulty a little
what can I say... prolly the longest I've played a game this jam. Its so fun to watch the water slowly shrink, and seeing your money go through the roof. Also amazing that you added rollerblades and a skateboard to make travelsal alot nicer. Artstyle, music, theme, sounds, whatever. Everything sells, and its great
Very short but interesting concept. I like how you gotta smash the Spacebar, but cant just blindly hit in the whole time. You actually have to lure your pray. Graphics are top notch aswell as the animations. I haven't heard any sound effects so I'm wondering if I missed smth.
But other than that kewl little game ^^
Artstyle is peak ngl! Gameplay is peak ngl! Sound is good (sorry, not quite as breathtaking) Innovation is peak ngl!
Your game is peak ngl!
Wow, this is soooooo adorable! I love the art- and sound design. There's alot of love here and one can tell. I definitly feel like this should have more reviews. Personally I'm not the point and click type, but I did enjoy games like Oxygen not Included which I think was an inspiration here, so I felt quite comfortable playing ^^
sadmoment.png
moments before desaster...
I tried to do the minecraft trick, with the big difference, that here my woodwork crumbled into pieces. The result? I was stuck in this hole forever.
A really really cool idea, with fun physics and a super cool artstyle! Dunno what else to say than: Banger
There's this one comment which says: "masterpiece"
I agree. More words would ruin anything one could say.
I mean its like totally great. Like so good, it made me go like: "wooooooow" so often.
Even if I wanted to I couldn't write anything negative about it, because its like... really cool and stuff.
Oh, besides that one time I had to walk back and make rice... oh and when I found out it was point and click... oh and... Nah, just messing with ya, ahah
You really thought I would not totally write something really good about this game. Because it is really good, like.. I wouldn't even know how to make smth as visually stunning as this game. I mean, how did you even come up with an exexeptional game idea like that!?
Mamazin', just mamazin'
But yeah, a single word is enough to describe this game: "its a masterpiece!"
oh no wait, that was three words...
Did Kerowyn bathe with her clothes on? Crazy As others stated the art is phenomenal! Be it character design or environment, you succeeded in every visual area. The movement is also a clever idea, but it was sometimes abit hard to navigate into the green areas. With abit of polish tho, this could be a fun management game ^^
I am still proud owner of the 16th place. Oh, u mean this isn't impressive? Well check this out:
I once 3-starred a maxed out base, with a single Barbarian in Clash of Clans.
Bet you cant do that can you.
Yeaaah...
Anyway, thas a cool ass game! Love the way its designed and the quirkyness gives it another special touch!
You guys rock! Good job
highscore.png
This is insaneeeeeeeeely good for the time given ! I love the 2D plants vs zombies type of gameplay loop. Its fun, the different plants are well thought out, the art and sound-design is really nice, AAAAAAAND its fun, hehe (the last one is really what counts)
I think its safe to say that this is gonna be one of the highest rated games
That is soooo cool! The art is super smooth and the little mini-games of the doors are well thought out. The last door (spoiler: police car) could have had an individual last mini-game which is like the "endboss" door, but you managed to do alot already. I'm not quite sure how the theme fits in tho, but nontheless its a fun game.
Awesome job ^^
I didn't quite get to the end, since I didn't know where to go an all. But the setting was actually really interesting. I wanted to know more and I liked the sorta RPG type. Total Elden Ring killer right here ^^
Brother, I'm so sorry I noticed your game so LATE This is awesome! I mean, we had a similar idea, but you're is so much funnier. I wanted to try and do some ragdolling too, but I never tried it and didn't have time. The design (sound-design included) and music is really cool and its so much fun, that I repeated it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over nand vero dna ervoo dan ova
So overall, supa cool
@braeden Man, you should get the praise really! Not only do you have a really appealing artstyle in combination with a good shader, but you also have lotsa fun evenvironmental additions to the gameplay. I totally feel that btw. that you're jealous  , cuz I'd be too, haha. Again your game is great! And only because I got "more" reviews doesn't mean mine is better by any means. You'll see, you'll prolly beat me in my categories ^^
Keep it up brother!
deepscore.png
Its not as impressive as 162 m, buuuuuut its smth. Super simple, super effective. This slaps actually!
Artstyle is simple but really good. The games hard but fair and yeah... Its just cool, dunno what else to say
Interesting interpretation of the theme. I really love all the different ideas people come up with. I was hooked to find out more about what's going on and struggling with similar feelings as the ingame son, I understood quite well what was happening. The game itself could have had maybe abit more mechanics, like combining different items or smth. That could have been interesting, but nontheless it was a nice play ^^
I ADORED THIS GAME!!! Like honestly, I really really really really really really really really really really really really really love this game. This made me feel so weak and afraid, even tho Im in a safe surrounding, but the atmosphere and music gave this game so much tension. I have to admit, that I was so bad at finding out the restaurant password, that I needed some hints to solve it. It legit took me 40 min. to beat this game, but damn, was it good! Amazing job in every detail. Awesome story aswell.
PLEASE, do consider making a full release with these mechanics, because I'd love to play more!
One can clearly tell, that there is alot of effort in the game. And I bet, you learned alot while making it, which is ultimately why I love gamejams so much. I also so you worked solo on this so props to you for showing the dedication. Personally I think you showed us that you're capable of making your own game with art, programming and sound. Who know's, maybe you're even the next TobyFox, haha.
The game itself is ofc lacking abit of depth (hehe, get it?), because its pretty much the same scenario each room. Enter, kill bats, move on. Thats not to say its that bad, but in order to make it fun, it could use more variety. Smth that is unexpected for the player. Be in new weapons, new mechanics, or enemies. Design wise it was also rather simple, but that's alright too once there's more variety.
Overall this game adds to your portfolio and you can be proud about it! Keep at it, and you'll be making the next Elden Ring in no time.
During my gameplay I was like: "Broda, what in the world are you yapping about in the background... I'm fighting evil snowmen!". Then I got to spring, chilled and listened. I am deeply moved now
That was a really nice short experience. The gameplay loop was simple, yet it felt really nice to navigate and to mine. I could have continued even longer ^^
The atmosphere really got me invested. The sort-of fear of the unknown made me curious what comes next. And btw. props to your for the cover design! You took a long time, but it definitly paid out ^^
Awesome job, keep it up!
At 1st I thought I understood the movement, then I realised I dont. Couple deaths passed and I got it. Tbh, I'm not personally the type who likes these games, BUT... The mix of new puzzles but with a sorta story was interessting to keep me playing for abit.
I like that the puzzles are well thought out. Mechanics and movement make for alot of possibilities in level design. With more variety this could definitly be smth one would wanna regurlarly play on mobile with constant new levels ^^
Gotta support fellow pixel artists! The artstyle is amazing. I really like the concept of having different kind of bombs to use as your arsenal. However I found myself not using them too much, since I could solve all my problem with a big BOOOM, haha. But still, I like the idea ^^ Traversal is also quite nice with how you control your height.
Overall really neat and again, the artstyle is top notch :id: Good job, keep it up!
Man, I love this game! So extremly unique, and the mood and sountrack are AWEEEEESOME! (specially that soundtrack)
Sadly I suck at typing games, so I made it to almost 40 words, but no more... It could be abit easier, but tbh, I cant write with my 10 fingers anymore soooooo Skill issue I guess, haha
@nomus man, I'm so happy to read such an exciting comment!
Merci beaucoup pour ton commentaire! <3
I feel like the game is appearantly quite popular in France (had another french streamer who loved it) We're really focused on making some sort of mobile release for this game with alot of quality of life changes that are gonna improve the experience even more. We're excited to see the feedback and will even add a personal score meter, aswell as a global leaderboard to compete even more.
Take care and remember: YOU ROCK!
First of all, you're such a talented artist! The pixel art is lovely and there's so much love in these characters. They tell their own story just by their design. The music is soothing, yet there's a sence of dread with a glimse of hope that you will succeed at your task. Picking up the "Deep Dreamers" and being able to put them down again is really a fun and unique idea, you have to think twice before making a step further.
What I noticed is some minor sound cutoff in the walking sound effect (happenes when an audio stream is cut off) Then some checkpoints could make this game abit less frustrating when dying just before the end. But thats mostly it ^^
The asthetic and eveything are quite smooth, so props to you. Awesome job!
Gotta say, I like that your game is straight to the point action. Its fast, faster, and neon, all good conditions for a banger. I had a little trouble though reading the obstacles, since there wasn't much time to act. Also the player could have been a little more faster in terms of navigation.
Other than that, pretty slick
Stella! It took my sweat time to get 3rd place ^^ Love the bonk sound, we're bonk brothers, haha
Live by the bonk, die by the bonk, made pure by the bonk
hehe, i can jiggle planets, hehe
Interesting game with a deep message. I really like the entries in this jam which try to tell a story aswell and leave a message to the player. The whole atmosphere really adds to that. At the beginning it felt like a backrooms game but quickly evolved into smth less dull as a backrooms game, haha
The design was great and the sounds overall nice aswell, although I can recommend either using more footstep sounds in general or use some kind of pitch-shift under the water ^^
I wasn't half a close as some others here, but I do quite like the games core gameplay loop. Its training your multitasking ability without being too much. The UI, soundtrack and art are all really well made.
Good job ^^
Straight up Fear & Hunger vibes! Love it ^^ I always wanted to see more games use this fighting style, and now there is, hehe So if you ever plan on making this into a full game, I'm buying!
I was playing this quite late. Was done playing and saw the heat in the comments. I will try to rate your game as neutral as possible. From what I can tell you're a very passionate person, who put alot of effort into this project. And props to you, that with your first gamejam you made such a cool game.
But from what I can tell (knowing little about the current debate), its not that we players dislike what you did, actually the contrary. Most of here are impressed with your work and want to rate it high, but I think the more you dismiss the fact that the rules weren't obeyed (even if a mere mistake) is a factor that we can't just look past.
I know that it's incredibly annoying and feels unfair. And personally I believe you, that you made the game in two days. But think about the fact that everyone has to play by the rules. If any other makes a mistake (me included) that we wouldn't make any differences.
But I don't wanna deepen this heat here, so I'm gonna say, good job! Your game is very well done and has a super interesting gameplay loop. It has a unique spin on the roguelike genre and invokes strategy.
Keep it up, brother!
-478824, that was my top, I can't imagine someone ever reaching 0. Now I do wonder, if there's anything at 0. Does it just continue to +1?
Anyways, the movement is really clean and there's alot of work to make it feel as polished and fair as possible.
Also, the 8-bit tune is a banger, love it!
images.steamusercontent.jpg
Ngl, the losing screen got me good, haha Even tho ofc, its nothing to laugh about, that violet got hurt, but the pose: COMEDY
Anyways, I really like how you implemented both the fighting system of Undertale, but also craft your own mix into the fighting. As many others said, I love the artstyle and the dialogue is really well written too!
Awesome work!
neurons.png
Damn, that was cool as hell, haha I mean, there was no threat or anything, but just shoveling coal into the furnace and droping at lightning speed was really fun! And it feels really polished too! I especially love the screenshake amound when you drop. Its the perfect amount. That art, sound, movement where all really good. And that metal gear detect sound was a cool addition too ^^
I like that you can slow down again, altough you can safeplay quite easily cheesing some score. But I like the high risk, high reward kinda gameplay. Simple yet well done
Falling but seing everything in the rear mirror is a really interesting idea. Visually it looks really cool too, but I found the controlls to be abit difficult to get into. I was more focused to use the navigation than the mirror itself.
But perhaps this is yet another skill issue xD Still a cool entry tho
I SURVIVED! How, idk... there were like 20 of those light fishes. Pretty weak light fishes if I can beat 20 of them, hehe Jokes aside, featuring a nice atmosphere and nice art this is def a cool little game. Could have been longer tho with a tad more content. But time plays against us in these jams.
Well, I wish some superhero would donate his arms to me too... How dedicated does one have to be, to lose his arms more than 5 times due to setting another highscore in digging. Crazy.
But! It was a fun play ^^ And I agree with others, you def get 5 stars in humor
