I only played briefly, so my best score was about 1300m. The music is bumpin, and the art isn't that bad considering you bashed it in your own description. Yeah the game is really fun, but I wish the death animation thing wasn't so long cause the game is really hard. Good job this is a cool ass game. Oh yeah the bonk death sound is funny nice.
Great minds think alike haha; great interpretation of the theme. Gameplay is super fun, animations are really smooth, and the music boppin'. Gives me real Oceans 11 or Mission Impossible vibes.

This is awesome! The music, graphics, gameplay, it's all great.
Great concept. The overall flow of the game works really well. Losing really fast on the first run was a little bit of a bummer but you get back into the action really fast and I could see this being pretty fun to dig into for a long run. Awesome music - a real bop. The character art is great. Love the thunk and ragdolly effect that you used on the game over screen. Super fun - awesome job!

I absolutely loved this game! I got hooked on it quite a bit, and ended up playing for 30 minutes at least haha. I loved the music, and I loved the music pitching lower when you die. The assortment of debris was just perfect, I never felt like it was completely unfair, because everything is signaled well to the player. I notice that you give the player a lot of options, like a float or a dive, AND a dodge. To be honest it was too much than was necessary. I personally didn't find the dodge useful. Anyway, here's my best score:

This game reached depfs I didn't think possible. Great premise and really fun generated levels, kept things interesting. Really funny and kept me going till 1300, great job!

Gives me vibes of the old star wars flight sim games; they had a 'training' mode where you flew down debris cluttered tunnels like this.

I adore this so much. I have been wishing it was available on mobile with gyro to steer and float/dive on left and right thumbs. Idk if it would work well, but it is such a perfect game to have in your pocket. Loving it on my steam deck, it plays great with controller. All around five stars, my only "nitpick" is I wish there was fast restarts because I'm playing it so much! Awesome idea, awesome execution, awesome game, go you.
P.S. pls either release on linux with fast restart or post the source so I can play it so much more :p

@potatobrain Oh sweet that was my only issue, guess it was just a skill issue. I didn't say in my original comment but it would be good if the track continued playing after you died, it's too good to be interrupted. Did you make the music by the why?

@jag damn thats the best compliment you could have given us <3 Thats a good point to be honest, i thought the dodge could give a extra skill cap, because it get exagerated by the movement and allows to cover great distances faster then normal movement, when timed right. 3691 is a great score! i think its even better then my current one xD, i will try to beat yours!

@paragonraptors thanks! I think this is the best way for a game jam to be honest :D our last project was a little bit to complicated in its design to get finished in time, so we wanted to keep it simple but make it great!

@oxnh No problem :D, yeah the game is not that easy 😅 we thought about decreasing the difficulty at the beginning and make it harder as you go deeper, that would fix the fast looping of the soundtrack too.

The auto-restart is the most underrated feature of this game. You don't get kicked back to the main menu and have to navigate again, the action just starts again on its own. The visuals are great while playing, the stills don't do it justice.
Got to 2633 meters, really fun and challenging game, absolutely love the music, please release it seperately as well, it would be so awesome

Falling and dodging feels really nice, and I like how Boost and Float add more dimension to the gameplay. The protagonist is adorable, their sadness actually gives you more motivation to win, and because of that, every dodge feels more rewarding. The music is amazing, and I love how it slows down on the game over screen. All in all, great work!
High marks for this game! The core idea completely won me over. Simple yet humorous and beautiful. Great job!

First of all, thought the music REALLY added to this game - it's so funky and fun!
The difficulty felt just right too - such well crafted obstacles, especially the big ribcages! It gives so many different ways of approaching the same obstacle rather than funneling you down into smaller and smaller holes, and keeps the game feeling so fresh.
There are really great little touches too - the stop signs, the trees which are oriented so you can fit through the branches, the slo-mo on death etc. Altogether feels like such a tight package, bravo!

This game is seriously addictive. Everything is done at such a high level — I didn’t even want to quit playing. The only thing I’d add is a personal high score — something to aim for and try to beat myself. Other than that, it’s a 10/10. Super fun and a really unique concept for this theme, executed perfectly.

Wow, this game is a real virus, I literally want to go through it over and over again. Awesome 3D visual, funny music. The thing that is very important to me is the challenge, and this game has it. Great job!

I really like the idea of the game and the low poly 3D graphics I love! But the collisions are really too sensitive, there should be a smoother progression or at least a bit of a tutorial phase to get started.
It's always a good sign when you get hooked in immediately. The game is super fun, the music is a banger and the little audio manipulations when you die really add a lot of character. The game is well polished in terms of controls and really gives you everything you need in order to tryhard the shit out of it. I'm probably gonna keep it on the side to come back to it later !

Solid implementation of a classic idea! I got to 2.3 kilometers. The wooden floors turned out to be the most difficult obstacles for me due to how much they obstruct your view. Good work!

I looked at Duckdepf's sad expression and thought "I gotta help this little guy or I won't be able to sleep tonight." I didn't anyway, too busy perfecting a dive, avoiding the percussive "bonk" of death. Dog, it feels *so cool* to go for it and dodge everything that ended up in this well. I think it might be cursed, or perhaps owned by someone with a sick sense of decor.
This song is bangin' and ayyyye I know that orchestra hit anywhere, heard it a bunch rollerblading in Tokyo-To!
Very high skill level or I'm very bad. Probably the latter. Overall, it was a lot of fun. I liked that there was a limit on floating and boosting to prevent too much cheesing it. I think that there were a few too many objects too close together at the beginning, at least for me, but overall the play was smooth and it was fun to play.
Good game! It is complete and it perfectly matches the theme. And I feel fun playing it.

This game reminded me how much I like birds. I enjoyed flying down. - The animation when hovering is expressive. - The music changing pitch when dying is the kind of polish I wish more games had. - I found it funny that the bird is perpetually sad-looking on his face. - The music is very fitting to a game like this where you are dodging all sorts of wild stuff. - I like that I can speed up and slow down. - I did not engage with the dodging much at all, but it was a fun little thing to play around with. Great one!

Now that was amusing, I can visualize in my head a mission impossible themed one with a duck too~ A bit hard, but really addictive!

Yeah we wanted to add that too, but you know how it is, the biggest enemy in the jam is the time, we wanted to Focus this jam more on a precise simple Vision and execute it well, because we failed to finish our game last time. @piero-pbes-studio we planned to have 3 different difficulty Levels with a bunch of sections, that start the easiest and get harder with the depth, but we hadnt enought time to make enough Content so it doesnt feel repetitive. But planned for the after jam verson for sure!

The quick game loop always keeps you in the game and doesn't give you too much time to breath.
Changing the formula up to gradually increase more difficult chunks would be a great improvement and also could lead to the ability to do some environmental storytelling. I imagine you could start with wooden planks and branches, later introduce some of the machinery and industrial themed obstacles and end it in a demonic dark descent.

I enjoyed playing this game, but there were a few frustrations, all centred around mis-judging my duck's position relative to the obstacles, causing me to collide with obstacles unexpectedly. I think a light causing shadows to be cast by the duck onto the scenery would help with this a lot. The bats being so much bigger than the duck model was a little counter-intuitive, too. I loved the music slow-down effect on failure, and enjoyed the blocky art style. It would be nice to have more coverage with the sounds though: moving obstacles making sound would be an improvement, as would having a whoosh or similar on the dodge. Overall, a great jam submission! Well done!

What a fun and addictive game, the only thing I wish was in the game is a leaderboard so I can track my score. The level generation is fair and well thought out and the gameplay variety kept me playing for quiet a while (best score 3000 and something). Very well done!

Very well made! Simple in premise, but I like how many movement options you gave the player. I even got some use out of the dodge roll. Movement overall felt very smooth, enhanced by the jazzy soundtrack. Visuals were also nicely cartoonish, and the ragdoll on death a good touch. Overall fun and polished game, nice work!

I don't know what that "its actually pretty fun, considering it doesn’t look too appealing" part of the game's description is talking about. I see plenty of visual appeal here, *especially*, in the player character's model. His face expression is just so charming! <3
While the gameplay in itself is shallow, you can only do so much with this type of "obstacle course run" structure. Speaking of, I appreciate the variety in the many props used to impede your fall. The movement is smooth and satisfying, and the music slowing down down, turning into a more miserable sounding version of it self has to be the icing on the cake. Great job!

When I see all the other players scores I feel really bad since I only got 500 after a lot of tries, I always end up hitting something since I have the feeling all the hitboxes are really big haha, but I liked the little sad ducky !

Love the duck character 3D model so much! Fun game and having it just restart immediately after dying is a very good tactic for this type of game, it's really easy to get stuck in a loop of 'just one more go'. The audio is great too, especially the slow down when you die. Great job!

That music was FIRE! it made me keep going despite constant horrible fails (them WALLS!) Really fun game, sometimes it was a little bit not clear where the collision started or stopped, and I got some frame drops here and there that made my heart race :D But overall, great fun!

I think it'd be an interesting idea to have diving charge the slow-down stamina bar. Then you'd have to go fast to go slow.
I did have a lot of fun and kept "one more time"ing it on stream which is always the mark of a fun game!

@jddoesdev i totally aggree with you, the first runs are pretty hard, we definitely plan on increasing the difficulty slower so the player can get used to the controls, thanks for the feedback!
@zelberor the dodge feels like a mixed back at the moment it is really usefull if you get used to it specially the faster it gets, but the learning curve is much slower, so we will look into that, thanks for the feebakc!

I feel like the game is appearantly quite popular in France (had another french streamer who loved it) We're really focused on making some sort of mobile release for this game with alot of quality of life changes that are gonna improve the experience even more. We're excited to see the feedback and will even add a personal score meter, aswell as a global leaderboard to compete even more.

Player controller has gud impact, like it along with level design, which creates intreseting obstacles events.
My God. REALLY addicting. Gonna save it for later so that I can play it in my free time. I've got no complaints. Maybe I would like to see a drop shadow effect on where I'm headed, but that's probably by design. Anyways, good stuff. Oh and the music is just so AMAZING.

Haha, it reminded me of old PS1 3D platformer games like Spyro, especially the music, love it! I think a CRT filter and a limited resolution would make it better! Nice controls!
@cure thanks for the great feedback, especially the mobile controls. We discussing right now how we will move forward with collectables, many ideas to test and to filter out the not so fun, weaker ones. We will for sure inform you when our first mobile build is ready, if you are interested :D

It's really fun and well made! Graphic style is simple but effective. Music is really good, and the slow down when dying is great. It's cool that it's hard immediately, so that you don't have to play 5min to get to the hard stuff every time.
I don't like the moving obstacles, since it's hard to tell exactly the depth difference with our duck. You can kind of feel the depth difference by playing for a bit, but to me it feels like I'm getting better at dealing with the issue (like you would get used to play around a bug). For a perfect audio grade, I would have loved sound effects in addition to the music (wooosh when passing close to an object, moving obstacles making noise etc.)

Frankly there were too many controls and objects for me to progress much, something with my depth precaption didn't work with this game for some reason
