This game is one of my favorites out of all the ones I reviewed! The mood is very entrancing to play, and the gameplay loop is well designed! I really love the whole orbiting the planet system and the fact that you're just a little seedling obliterating these meteors and birds. Only thing I would complain about is falling back down feels like a slog, but I do understand you're supposed to collect the suns on the way down. Great job! The music is also really really good!
Very relaxing gameplay. I felt like I could just chill playing this for a good while. I was able to get all the upgrades and made it to about 47,000km. I really wanted to see how high you could go. I think the birds make falling back down more of a waiting game. I'm not sure why you collide with them going down but not up. The intro cinematic combined with the music was really well done too.

Thank you for playing my game. It's a nice feeling to be receive ratings before I even start rating. I took both your critiques (I actually expected that one...) and added a small disable-bouncing button at the bottomright corner. Hopefully this doesn't waste more of anyone's time. I added a little explanation on why I did that in the descriptions if you're interested. I'm glad you enjoyed it overall.
Mood and audio were soooo good! I absolutely loved the small intro! What program did you use to create the audio and visuals? Well done sir

@osh-studio I used aesprite and a self-made atlas editor for visuals. For FL Studio I used an 8bit plugin (very common) with fl3 delay and reverb, both for the sfx and bgm. I'll actually put that in the descriptions. Thank you for playing the game

The audio is very relaxing. I like the fact that you went of a planetary setting instead of a flat infinite plane. It makes it more interesting.

This gives off such cozy game vibes. I really enjoyed playing this one! Great job!

Loved it! Very chill and satisfying.
Breath-taking beauty! I LOVE this game. The concept as well as the mood really fascinated me. The soundtrack is absolutely perfect for this game. Everything is so poetic. I was deeply shocked when I saw the seedling travelling all the way to outer space. That was a unique experience. Thanks for creating such an amazing game! Absolutely 5/5 for me.

Super calming. I love that there aren't any penalties, this really is just a game where you can relax

I have a lot more respect for dandelions now. I never knew they had such hard lives. This was a unique game, and I enjoyed the simplicity. Thanks for making it!

I loved it! There're only two things I do not understand: First, what is the purpose of the text box at the top of the menu, and second, why sometimes I jump off of the bird higher? Is there some air current? It was not so clear. But otherwise it's a good game, you did a good job by simplifying the design as you planned.

Oh wow, this brings very fond memories about that one flash-game, "Hedgehog Launch"! Always thought of it as a banger and wondered why aren't there more games like that.
You did a very good job at recreating the joy from that game (even if unintentionally)! And making your own twist and stylistic decisions. Had such a good time playing through your game, thanks for your entry :)
This is fantastic! I was just about to say it reminded me of Hedgehog Launch as well. The music and sound design is top-notch. I do wish that there was some kind of "goal altitude" you could reach where you get to say "you won," but I get that it's a high-score thing, haha. I guess I'll settle for getting all the upgrades :p

Don't know why but this is one of my favorite LD entries of my five years of taking part! :stars: The most relaxing game ever.
What you said in the Wrap up section of the description makes a lot of sense. A game like this with quite simple mechanics, but somehow still very hooking gameplay is the way to go! Nailed it :sunglasses: For the first minute I needed to figure out how the game worked, but when I got it it was super nice! I maxed the upgrades and started to spam attempts, and when I realised in the bottom corner that you can disable the birds colliders it got a lot more fun :joy: Before that it was kinda a burden to fly to 40k altitude and fall down hitting 145 birds on the way hehe ;D
And dude I could listen to that music forever. So nice just watching the flower fly miles with that playing in the background. Literally perfect :musical_note:
The oooonly thing even I could maybe say as another player has already said, I think a goal altitude would've been nice, but I get that the point is probably just relax and go wherever it happens to go. Well, anyways, one of my favorite entries of all time so great job :heart_eyes:

@justslavic Oops, I only took some time off now to read this. I'm glad someone mentioned that small textbox, even I forgot about it lol. If you enter a name and leave it there, you can get a nametag with a highscore. I entered "High" there and that is when I conveniently got that 100k. (I don't know how. It was utter luck and sheer universal conspiration, I can't replicate it.) I'll put that in the description.
@raffe Thank you so much for the detailed review! Yes we all have to learn from our past mistakes eventually, it took me 4 tries + 1 to make a much simpler game. It's also actually quite amazing that the bgm that I spent like 10~15 minutes on has gotten this much good review. Y'know what artists say, it's something you dish out unknowingly that gets the most love.

Such a nice game! So relaxing, it kinda mind controlled me into playing it for longer than I realized. I didn't read the how to play and it was kind of fun figuring out the controls and such. Very nice art style, great entry!

dude your game is so pure --- the fez-infused sountrack is amazing --- I love the vibe, the message behind it --- it's peaceful and precious, it's a plant tryna get her babies out there in the world --- I found it really touching --- the choice to have a static globe instead of having it rotating as you go left and right and you, the seed, stay upright, was a bit odd to me at first --- then I managed to get on the other side and I was like _"hmm actually that works"_ hehe --- the reversed controls do take some getting used to tho, ngl ;) héhé --- most poetic game Ive played so far --- great job thanks for the experience :-D :sparkles:

Kind of a weirdly beautiful experience, the combination of the music, the low res visuals and chill gameplay watching your little seedling fly and bounce through the sky, trying to catch sunshine, but it not really mattering much because you can't really lose. I sorted wanted more 'game' but at the same time maybe that would detract from the meditative feeling. The music kind of made it for me, so well done on that one. An unusual one, not really sure how to rank but a cool experience in any case, thanks.

Really relaxing game ! I had a lot of fun reaching for the stars. A few things confused me at first though. I didn't really understand the purposes of the birds until I read your description. And I still don't get the meteor. It's a really nice entry, congrats !

This is one of my favorite entries! The pixelart fits and isn't too complicated and the designed systems are nice. Got a bit nauseous after a bit from all the moving after a bit but the playing was fun!
Very nice entry - it does involve getting a little "in" to it. But once you do - it's quite fun and rewarding. Very good job with this one. A few things didn't seem a 100% natural or obious.... but this happens when it's a bit outside the normal box. Very good job
This is very beautiful and easily one of my favorite games in this jam. The graphics are pretty, the music is very relaxing and the idea itself very unique. Fantastic entry!

So very unique and chill! I sunk way more time than I should into this, it was lovely, peaceful and just beautiful. The audio was great and the upgrades were nice. Loved how everything just started growing and taking hold. It was more degree of skill than I first thought. Really loved the atmosphere of the game one of the best I've played yet for that. Graphics are also lovely, it's the kind of game I just adore. Really really good stuff, congrats! ^-^

I had a lot of fun chilling out to this. This was despite the sunlight wigging me out a bit with its animation. I also found the rotation needed a bit of getting used to. I like the art and mechanics a lot though.
