Just a cog in the machine? by Erkberg 2023-05-10T10:49:18Z

The narrative carries this a long way. I liked the mixed mechanics though I think I went out of sequence. Only issues were some minor bugs when carrying multiple objects and maybe a lack of feedback when I couldn't refill a space or where to fill a space from.

Pretty cool experience.

Astroxite by MAT4DOR 2023-05-01T09:23:58Z

A solid amount of progression here. I enjoyed the puzzles of navigation and processing materials, but did struggle to bash my way forward at times.

Twisted Pedal by Samuli 2023-05-01T08:59:10Z

Really enjoyed the controls and the progression. I think you could do a lot with this foundation. Now I want pizza..

Nuclear Hammer by ciderpunk 2023-05-02T14:06:52Z

This was a lot of fun. I know you mentioned it but I wish there was a sound on the impact. I like the effect you implemented for the hammer and its knock-back!

I could see this sort of game having a solid series of challenges added to it via A.I. and obstacles.

You did a good job "hammering" your concept into the theme as well.

Tongue Tied by binroot 2023-05-01T09:35:16Z

Really like this take on the concept, must have been fun putting it together and playing around with different sounds. The wiggling spices were giving me a bit of a headache unfortunately but it was worth powering through to play around with trying to deliver my lines.

Cerberus by Veralos 2023-05-03T14:34:44Z

Controls really well, the attacks and collection felt good once I got used to it. Good level design too. It felt like a real 2D souls game. I think apart from music maybe some more visual cues for getting stronger would be cool? The variety of enemies is great as well. Nice work!

Cerberus by Veralos 2023-05-04T09:58:38Z

@veralos I saw the bar at the bottom? But I was thinking character changes or getting bigger. Maybe your teeth get red/darker? If this sounds like nonsense or I missed something apologies, I have been providing feedback at the end of each day so may have not noticed something!

Don't read all about it! by ThaProfesional 2023-05-01T08:55:05Z

Big fan of the dog animations. Would be cool to see more levels and variation but the core loop is fun. I felt the length of the level was a bit punishing but adding extra speed/energy/stamina is a huge ask.

Good Boy! by DJTequila 2023-05-03T14:49:27Z

The music sets a really good mood. The game was a bit tough maybe due to the controls, but I liked the tutorial and playing around getting the different mailmen to drop their mail. It's a nice take on the theme!

Time to Deliver the Mail to Robots by Shooting Them With a Letter, Somehow! by spudboy 2023-05-07T05:11:02Z

I really like the drawn 2D in a 3D shooter. The robots were cute and I felt bad killing them especially as I could cheese the angles a fair bit. Good sounds and level design. The story was an excellent frame. I had fun!

If you don't mind saying, what was the sound effect for shooting?

Neural Rot by Angela He 2023-05-10T11:56:19Z

So unsettling and stressful. I'm not a fan of horror but I can appreciate it! I managed to cheese my way in parts but I feel like that's only fair with the difficulty of the controls. Looks good and sounds good and I liked the challenge of even just moving around!

Starlighter by HoldMeImScared 2023-05-01T08:52:21Z

Pretty fun, but I also found it punished my clumsiness a fair bit. Really enjoyed the character design and the mechanic, that loop of lighting acting on the tetris-like enemy darkness is cool and the generated level design works well with that.

Drone Diner Dash by Lex 2023-05-03T13:32:36Z

The controls are really well done and the level design is a solid challenge. I really liked bouncing the dishes around "accidentally".

Delivery by TasakaSama 2023-05-02T09:22:48Z

I was vibing out to the sound effects. The level design and game mechanics are solid. I found the controls a bit awkward and did feel a little penalized by them at times against the finessed challenge of discovering what was in the package and managing my inventory. It's a neat narrative over the theme. I'm not sure if there was progression because I was bad, but I can't help but think the character should have turned into a package demon as they delivered more..

Delivery City by digital bacon 2023-05-03T14:28:21Z

Cool level! I like all of the interactions and animations you've put in place. I could see vehicles and a bigger level being a huge plus, but well done anyway. I think some music or sounds could have lifted the aesthetic a bit more? Also I kind of wish the character wasn't staring at me the whole time...

Contraband Crackdown by PurpledArtFrog 2023-05-08T11:47:22Z

I like the concept and was happy once I unmuted the music. I think issues aside you have a really cool little beat-em-up here.

Stork Express by Pizzasgood 2023-05-03T14:43:54Z

The music is a real jam. I had a lot of fun just flinging babies around the map.

I did find the controls quite disorienting but the massive beams indicating targets were helpful with that. It also seemed a bit difficult to figure out the direction I was going? These could just be me problems though.

The level was good and I was really excited to try the controls. You've designed a cool game with a funny twist on the theme.

Silence is just a pipe dream by Antsa 2023-05-05T14:50:10Z

My brainstorming didn't go here so well done on the unique approach to the theme. I really enjoyed the visuals, it was a solid and impressive collection of pipes. The music really fit the narrative well. I think one constructive piece of feedback would be making the click zones a bit easier to navigate/find.

Dark Storker by Pawciu 2023-05-18T11:37:52Z

I liked the controls and art a lot. Nice work having a story as well!

Skyway Delivery by Pincushion 2023-05-06T13:56:27Z

I had a good time chilling to the music with the city around me. I thought the physics of flight was quite comfortable once I figured it out.

My constructive feedback would just be that the thrusters drowned out the beats a bit too much for my liking. I also found the rotation of the vehicle around? the camera a bit clunky at times. I think if that could be smoothed maybe it would improve it. And being able to free look.

I liked the lock-on to the next objective, they were both helpful and fit in really well with the tone of the game. I'm also impressed when a 3D project is completed in this short time, so well done!

Seedling by TwoWolf 2023-05-08T12:25:52Z

I had a lot of fun chilling out to this. This was despite the sunlight wigging me out a bit with its animation. I also found the rotation needed a bit of getting used to. I like the art and mechanics a lot though.

Dingsi by maxi1324 2023-05-04T13:21:11Z

Great level design. I'm impressed with how much you put together in the time.

WORD DROP by MKRaw 2023-05-03T13:47:24Z

I really like the aesthetic. Had a lot of fun playing a few times. I wonder if you could have added multi-blank words or a time limit for some more challenge?

Parcel Panic by icch_howw 2023-05-04T12:23:23Z

Good fun and nice scaling difficulty!

Planet Quest by Corporation 2023-05-03T14:13:06Z

I like the art style and you did a great job with the animations. Cool narrative and a nice short progression. It's kind of very difficult then extremely easy I found once I got established, so possibly some balancing with another bigger enemy?

The ship music was a little hectic but the sound overall is really nice.

Robin Hood Christmas by cavedens 2023-05-01T12:06:55Z

I like the increasing challenge encountering more guards. I think some different guards or obstacles in the houses would have added some enjoyment, I'm sure there are a few things. Cool use of the theme!

Kingdom Post by Astoeth 2023-05-04T13:35:56Z

The music and style area great. The ux around deliveries was a bit confusing to start but it and the map are an awesome foundation.

Drone Delivery Service by jclardy 2023-05-02T14:24:39Z

This was such a challenge but so fun as well. I found the controls really enjoyable to play around with and definitely was too much of a daredevil at times. The level design is great and the aesthetic is pleasing, though some backgrounds did artifact or tear a little? I think like a magic eye sort of thing, maybe it's just my eyesight?

The design of the drone is cute and the physics of the grabber and box was well done. I could see myself playing more of this until I broke my monitor or keyboard from frustration!

Tower Def-Ants by Glaas 2023-05-04T13:25:31Z

It was tough after I spent my resources and the ants died but I enjoy the concept and functionality. The ants running around is a nice mechanic if somewhat punishing.

Space Delivery by aligator 2023-05-03T13:58:05Z

Fun game. I felt a bit more lucky than skilled on my best runs though. I always enjoy a good custom explosion sound as well so thanks for including one!

Packet by Defrag 2023-05-02T08:14:43Z

I had a lot of fun with this. Really enjoyed the sound effects and the music was a nice beat. The sounds remind me of the dark forces games. The tutorial is very well done, I'm jealous! It did feel a little uncoupled from what I was doing though, but maybe that was just me taking a minute to notice I could move on. Good take on the theme!

04 Mail Service by Asieke 2023-05-05T14:35:07Z

I enjoyed so many aspects of this game so maybe I will start with my one gripe which was the movement sound was really intense. The good stuff: The music was a mood, so mellow and relaxing, it made the difficult control scheme manageable. I really liked the unique (to me) controls. It was fun moving around accidentally and figuring out the puzzle. The art compliments the music and the level design is a nice progression.

The Hellstone by Nelone 2023-05-04T13:28:14Z

The art looks great. Wasn't entirely sure what was going on, I'll make a note to come back and google translate the game myself!

Dicey Deliveries by AsmadiGames 2023-05-04T14:04:34Z

Neat! I enjoyed playing around with this. If I had a physical chessboard handy it could be a fun time sink for sure.

Drifty Delivery Service by Adan1032 2023-05-10T12:09:28Z

I felt the controls had some promise, pretty interesting to play around with. I didn't know what I was doing the first time, and it took me a bit to realise hitting the darker green was what was bad. Cool concept!

Last Delivery by greenphox 2023-05-03T14:57:32Z

Good music and sounds. I really like the contrast between the background and the cheery theme. You also did a great job on the sprite animation. Cool to see a story and some good writing as well. My only real gripe is after exploring it took me a while to loop back around for my deliveries.

Click to Deliver by Noobman64 2023-05-01T09:04:54Z

I'd seen the concept of this delivery thrown around and it's cool to see a unique take on it. Pretty fun as is, but would have been really cool to see what innovative clicker progressions could have been added with the second day.

Dungeon Delivery by Krynxx 2023-05-02T14:00:54Z

I like the idea of a person whose job is in-dungeon delivery service. It seems very difficult though. Definitely a lot of skill and patience required with the controls and failing jumps. I found the level and lighting set a really nice atmosphere.

The puzzles generally were a good challenge though, memory for the whole map, the maze rooms, the jump paths and timing were all well thought out.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-02T07:58:33Z

@jclardy @dummy432 @defrag @holdmeimscared @thaprofesional @cavedens thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!

It definitely needs some dialing in with the controls and better checkpoints would be nice I agree. I did want the obstacles to be quite challenging and punishing in some cases, however testing against the time limit didn't grant me the opportunity to get that balance unfortunately.

Thanks!

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-02T07:59:55Z

@reivilibre Sorry, it's a bit open for you to hopefully enjoy the background and sound, there is a second planet you can visit if you explore a bit (it's on the right edge at the same y value as the start planet)!

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-02T08:02:16Z

@tasakasama yeah apologies the upload/delete was playing up, the itch link: [link](https://zraicis.itch.io/deliveride-ldjam53) is good on most browsers I think.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-03T13:23:18Z

@stefanholst Sorry! Please give the itch link a go or the downloads should work.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-03T13:40:49Z

@noobman64 Thanks for playing and sorry about the lack of a checkpoint! It was all digital art drawn by me. I think the segments you were seeing are just because I did a poor job mirroring the edge and used the same background copied for those levels. I think the layering and different opacity makes it look more muddled as well.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-03T14:35:45Z

@lex You heard the space octopus!

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-04T09:38:19Z

@carkh I've had trouble with firefox for a few games, though I'm not sure if godot has a solve for that issue. Agreed about resetting the vector. I think I'd almost prioritise that over nicer checkpoints if I make a change. But maybe that's just because I had to test the collision boundaries.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-04T09:41:03Z

@asmadigames @icch-howw @herryfabien @baynary-egor @glaas @jpbaraky @veralos Thanks heaps for playing and for the feedback!

I think one of my late lessons learned was how I could store state well, so if my next entry is as difficult I'll balance it out with better checkpoints.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-05T14:23:32Z

@digital-bacon thanks!

@pincushion Thanks for playing and enjoying the space squid (I think of it as an octopus - the cousin of the human programmer).

@gametrodon I appreciate the extra feedback! I guess I themed the obstacles to the planet's palette, but there's bad UX then. I'll keep it in mind for next time!

@zefphyer Thank you, I agree. The extra link is from some misplace optimism that I'd space the obstacles better and not have lots of sections of only background.

@hakro thanks for playing! Yes I have heard you can complete the level this way as well.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-06T15:14:16Z

@purpledartfrog Thanks for playing! Sorry it's unforgiving, if I had another few hours...

@milq thanks I appreciate the feedback! Agreed some extra movement and maybe abilities would be good. If I took it further I'd definitely add some variation to the obstacles/enemies.

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-07T04:57:37Z

@spudboy Thanks!

> The music loop was short but it didn’t get annoying, so props for that.

I was very worried about this, so I'm glad to hear it.

This was my second attempt actually, I ended up unfinished last time but hadn't booked the whole weekend properly. Definitely implemented some better time management practices but yeah, hopefully next one I have more game!

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-08T14:35:33Z

Thanks @krynxx

Grocery store by dUmMy432 2023-05-02T09:59:01Z

I found this very stressful but enjoyed the combination. I could see this being a great train game if you could get it working on mobile somehow. I do think maybe the second section is a bit too easy but I guess it could get ridiculous if you made it harder.

Entrega by dysleixc 2023-05-04T13:52:22Z

This is so unique and has so much going for it. The sound music is a real bop, the sound effects are brilliant, the gameplay is a fun challenge. The art style and camera(?) are an aesthetic. Nice! Again.

Sorting Center Savant by ZungryWare 2023-05-04T13:09:49Z

I had to stop myself playing I was enjoying it too much. I liked the controls though did find myself not moving the camera much. Nice work!

Postman Path by reivilibre 2023-05-02T08:44:25Z

I enjoy this style of puzzle game, though I did need to take a break from the soundloop and bright colours. I really like the implementation of path-finding and the challenges you've set up. You've made some cool animations as well. Nice work!

Ricardo's Busy Day by Floke 2023-05-03T13:38:07Z

I enjoyed the level design both how it looked and played. I think you could have fun generating or building those. It took a bit to get used to the controls for me but it was a good blend of luck and skill.

soul sender by aushijo 2023-05-10T11:02:03Z

The ominous music really tied me back to the tone you set in the description. I like the colour palette though I kept getting confused with the itch.io background but that's definitely a me problem.

I'm a sucker for this sort of game so had a lot of fun. I think the highlights for me are the concept don't re-enliven the young and its associated challenges) and the control mechanism.

Delivery of the king by KingZero 2023-05-03T14:19:52Z

The visuals are cool and it's awesome to get that bonus area after to see what you were working on. I really liked the unique character models and it's fun to see some colour keyed doors. There was a bit too much reading for me at the start but I do appreciate that you have a narrative in mind!

Goblin Delivery Inc. by The Hat Guy 2023-05-06T13:44:01Z

Some really good art and sound and an impressive amount of complexity in your system. I like the interpretation of being the path-finding algorithm instead of using one. But I'm not a robot :(

Dire Delivery by AristoRat 2023-05-05T14:56:14Z

Let's have a moment of silence for the cowsmonauts whose sacrifices allowed others to reach the... party.

I liked the mechanic of building up a "ship" a lot. I found the mixture of cows and wall pieces clever. I think possibly it would be a better experience with some more height and visibility of oncoming items, but these are broad balance comments. Enjoyed the music and the cow sprites. The asteroids did make me a bit hungry though!

Taent by Emily-TTG 2023-05-03T13:52:21Z

Very cool to see a stronger narrative on top of a neat little game. I enjoyed the sounds and easter eggs(?). It broke up the walking pace a little.

Delivery G.U.I. by JpBaraky 2023-05-04T13:40:47Z

I'm happy seeing a different approach to drone controls. A nice skill challenge for me there. The music and mood are fantastic if a little at odds with the background (but so is the drone?). Art is great and the difficulty is a good challenge. Great work!

The Hawaiian Slice by carkh 2023-05-04T09:48:13Z

An enjoyable 2D stealth game! I liked the animations and sprites and the turn-based aspect of it. Is it rude to think about roguelikes? nethack? The sounds set a great mood with the dim levels.

Pizzapocalypse by Grayce 2023-05-04T13:47:31Z

I'm so stressed! Great game.

On My Way by Zefphyer 2023-05-04T09:56:17Z

This is why I don't drive! The level, design and sound all combine to set a very tense atmosphere.
