Quite fun, I made it to level 5! I like that the level stays even when you die, if it did reset, that would be way too brutal!

Nice game)) Make full game for mobile))
I like the controls a lot. Managed to bug out the box/rope a few times but nice overall.
Quite like this, well done! The mechanic reminds me of an older game I love called Hammerfight - worth checking out!
@teadrinker Thanks! And yeah I did consider having a full reset, but some of the levels are a bit too tedious, I'd rather have people explore the game more.
@kykypy3o8 I'm considering it - I have a lot of ideas for level designs and more gameplay elements.
@remus Yeah - I didn't want to get to fussy on the physics at the expense of submitting something, but there is a lot of tweaking needed on the crane setup.
@lee-martin-77 Thanks, I'll check it out!
Very cool, on the other hand I find that we lack visibility at the start of the level to know where we have to go with the package
The rope goes a lil crazy when you go too fast, but since it's not something you want to do anyway it's ok. Other than that it's well made, congrats!
@tasakasama Yeah, in the original plan I was going to add more directional elements to the background tile map, but then I decided to submit as Compo and drew up my own tiles. But I'll definitely do something in that regard if I ever expand on the game.
@yorsh Thanks! Yeah for sure, especially on level three where you can just drop straight down onto the box. This is my first physics engine based game attempt so the rope physics are a bit of a quick hack with small segments and pin joints.
The box was erratic at times when bumping it into stuff, and it once glitched through the level wall (happened on 2nd level). Maybe slightly tilting the drone to represent it's momentum would help the "feel" of movement, but that's nitpicking. Solid entry and I enjoyed playing it! It's my first LD as well, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. :)
Really nice entry! Rope can be a bit spazzy, but other than that, I really enjoyed it!
A lovely, small game. Intuitive controls. There were some bugs with the rope at times, but it only added to the fun. I hope you improve it by adding music and more levels after the jam. Great job!
Amazing game! Congrats! Really neat well executed die&retry/rage game, would have to totally worked at the flash-game era!
Slow and steady is the secret, it seems. I wish I could stop or slow myself when ascending. Most of my deaths were due to climbing too fast and smacking the top. Pretty straightforward take on the theme. Well-executed, with no technical issues.
Nice game. Would be great on mobile phones. You should continue working on it after the jam.
The box gets a little crazy a bit often, but for a physics-based game made in such short time it's fine, I like how you put little eyes in the drone to add a bit of personality, it makes crashing the poor guy feel more impactful lol. Welcome to the Godot community!
On level 2 in particular I kept bonking myself with the box going over the peak, ha ha. Just slammed it right down on top of myself, turns out that's not good for drones. My most common cause of death was definitely hitting ceilings.
This is neat, good work!
Fun little game, lots of potential. I love the cute drone!
It's like one of those rage games like Getting Over It. Addicting but savage. I had the urge to finish all levels even though I smacked the drone all the time. I was only a little confused at the start about what made the game "game over" as it would happen when I touched a wall but also wenn I picked up the box sometimes.
This was such a challenge but so fun as well. I found the controls really enjoyable to play around with and definitely was too much of a daredevil at times. The level design is great and the aesthetic is pleasing, though some backgrounds did artifact or tear a little? I think like a magic eye sort of thing, maybe it's just my eyesight?
The design of the drone is cute and the physics of the grabber and box was well done. I could see myself playing more of this until I broke my monitor or keyboard from frustration!
Little game about a cute drone trying it's best to deliver boxes. What's more to add here? :package:
Not sure why you put in the gametime in the top left corner, is that some extra score?
I wish the controls were just tiny bit smoother. However, I understand that we don't all play on gamepads :video_game:
Good job!
Interesting game, short but fun. Wish it has a minimap though, since the camera is too zoomed in i couldn't see the ceiling and since there was no way to slow down when going up i died to the ceiling more than i died to the walls
Great graphics and really smooth controls. Thought the difficulty was perfect wasn't too hard to get through but died a few times and every one felt like it was my fault - it never felt like the game was unfair.
Love the sprite and the animated propellers, and the wiggly rope. Would have liked it if the walls were a little forgiving, but it's realistic for flying a drone.
I have loved the game! We have thought the same thing, the use of Godot physics for this edition of LD! They also gave me for few levels. The only thing is not having to switch between mouse and keyboard. For the rest, I think it's a fantastic game and I've had a great time, awesome game!
@made3 Yeah - if I ever put some more work into this concept I'll have a crash animation rather than jumping back into a menu so it should be more obvious what happened.
@kierogi Thanks - and yeah I think some of the backgrounds have some issues. Originally I had flat color backgrounds, but if you flew into the middle of a level you had no sense of speed or direction, so I quickly tried to add some patterns to the tiles.
@mikoziq Yeah - the original intent for the timer was a simple high score mechanism, fly more dangerously and succeed with a lower time.
@lenan Yeah with more time I would have probably done a zoom mechanic at the start of the levels - show the whole level, then zoom into the player.
@tempestcognitor Part of the inspiration for the game was those cheap tiny drones that you can fly for a few minutes before the props break off :)
@milq Thanks! Unfortunately didn't get around to keyboard controls for the menu.
I was able to beat it! I would like a total time of all levels completed to share since then I forget the previous times. Overall nice physics sim though the rope can overreact if you go down on it too hard. it would be interesting to be if it hits the edge, parts of the drone break off to show how fragile it is and then have the controls get really messed up (perhaps potentially still controllable but even harder). That might incentive the player to not hit any walls while not punish them for touching the wall just a bit. I could imagine the stop of the drone to be a bit easier as seeing drones fly around they seem to be very very controlled and able to stop and go pretty easily.
oh god, level 3 is so hard,I tried 7 times to pass,,but quite interesting controll feelings are nice ,level design are good, nice work, adding more details might be better, like the fan speed can change with input,ps: rope might have some bug
Nice one, I like this type of game. The drone was not really impacted by the weight of the cargo - adding that aspect might have made it even more interesting.
