Graphics are awesome. Impressive to pull that off for compo. Plus PARKOUR!

Absolutely beautiful - after a few false starts, I had a good run of it and did about ten deliveries. The presentation here works really well; both the graphics and the audio.

Loovely graphics and audio, the gameplay feels nice and the game looks great. Good job!

The difficulty curve is a bit steep, and I initially found the precision jumps in a couple of the rooms to be very unforgiving (which could be off-putting to some players). However, I kept trying and eventually got the hang of it. Even with the timer, there is a relaxing element to the game and it feels rather like a peaceful job this dungeon delivery. The graphics were great as were the sounds, and I appreciated the map being only available in the starting room. That made me have to remember which turns to make, which I found quite engaging. I really enjoyed this and could see it becoming a full-fledged game. Well done!

I unfortunately got stuck on the jumping. So small platforms, so capsule shaped collider and so little forgiveness. You did very very good with the presentation though, really nice graphics! Super impressive!

Damn those graphics are amazing. Minecraft vibe but with better light  The controls are good even if sometime the jumps are unforgiving, I had to go slow to avoid falling. Maybe adding coyote time ect would help.

The map in the starting room is such a good idea. Reminds me of old games where you had no minimap.

The music and sounds are also fitting well with the mood of the game.

I had a lot of fun playing your game, great job!

It took me a few attempts, but I finally managed to deliver a few orders in a row!

I found the implementation of jumping a bit frustrating. In my opinion, it could be improved by disabling movement while in the air or significantly reducing its impact on speed. It's too counter-intuitive. A few times, I was happy with the speed of my character, so I stopped pressing the buttons, resulting in me falling vertically to my death :(. Also, the colliders make the platforms "slippery". Imagine my face I made when I landed successfully for the first, but died because I was too far from the center of the platform. :D

The music is really cool, the graphics are stunning, and everything works well together!

The various modules inside the dungeon, such as mazes, platforms, and moving platforms, were nice to have. It would have been even better if there were bats or spiders to fight!

Great job!

I couldn't manage to deliver a thing because the jump was really low, however it looks nice and the graphics are pretty cool !

Love the lighting and graphics, I kept falling though.

I like the idea of a person whose job is in-dungeon delivery service. It seems very difficult though. Definitely a lot of skill and patience required with the controls and failing jumps. I found the level and lighting set a really nice atmosphere.

The puzzles generally were a good challenge though, memory for the whole map, the maze rooms, the jump paths and timing were all well thought out.

mikoziq 2023-05-02 21:22

What an idea you had there! I delivered 4 times!

- I like the minecraft graphics for this - the memory game about remembering a map layout is great, but can be a bit rough at the beggining - the SFX is great, so is the ambient sound - There's more than enough time to make the objective, which is nice

I bet you put the guy in a random pre-defined spot at the beginning. It would be nice if the last check was remembered, so I don't end up running to the same place 3-4 times in a row (I never managed to get to the left side of the dungeon)

Also, the controls are quite clunky, especially jumping. I believe you wanted something to add to difficulty, but the jumping killed me in a rather annoying way unfortunately.

A good job nontheless!

Made a game with the exact same name and found this when trying to navigate to mine. So I thought I would give it a play! Really enjoyed the over all polish. The lighting is top notch. I also love the way the gates open reminds me of a game im currently enjoying right now, called Lunacid. Also love the small effect where the endurance bar fades out as it nears full. Great job love how 2 names can create 2 radically different games! Also the vines are set to transparent you want to set that as cut out because you can see the alpha value allowing you to see where the textures cuts in and out.

I'm not very good at parkour and maze-solving, but the pixel art style of the game is really impressive.

Sick graphics! It took me a few tries to get used to the jumping because if felt too... slow? Or maybe not high enough. But when I got used to it it was great. Obviously some more upgrade would be cool, but I know how hard it is to add some more upgrades within a gamejam, let alone the compo. Other than that, maybe a goal would be nice.

Overall very well done for a compo!

I really liked this! It was a bold move to not give the player a minimap, but I think it worked out really well. Now you had to really keep the map in mind while you were doing all these difficult jumps, which made me really feel like a dungeon delver. It was also nice that the path was varied each time, such that you had to get through different parts of the dungeon. I did have a hard time getting a hang of the jumps and controls though. I often would land just beside a platform and then kind of slide of it. Perhaps making the hitbox of the islands slightly larger would have helped the feel a bit.

The caves were very moody due to the art and the lighting, which really fit the game. Maybe some mysterious music would have sold the mood even more :P Anyway, really well done! I think this is a super solid entry for the compo! :D

Loved the design and looks! Wish I could have enjoyed the game design with either a less punishing death system or more forgiving jumps, like adding coyote time as mentioned by others. It feels bad to lose everything, especially in a game where the progression seems pretty randomized. I would also suggest giving easier to more difficult routes, as its hard to get in the game when the first jumps are pretty difficult.

The memorization of the map as a mechanic was cool and I hope you expand it~

teddyreid 2023-05-09 21:43

Took a few goes to get my head around the map. The mazes especially were pretty frustrating in the beginning, but once you get your head around the layout its much better.

I really like that there isn't a mini-map. Having to actually engage with the environment is something that is sorely lacking in a lot of games. I found myself giving parts of the maps names to remember them better!

Graphics and sound is amazing here. Can't believe this is a compo entry! Absolutely love the lighting and the ambience. The little guitar flourishes when the delivery drops is great. A lot of really nice little touches here.

The platforming itself is also pretty good. A high degree of precision is possible after a little bit of practice.

Good entry!

I appreciate the developer's attention to detail in the graphics, as even minor visual elements contribute to the overall immersion and enjoyment of the game
