That's so stylish and cool, but so hard to play, you are falling to fast and have not enough time for QTE :P But thanks for the game!

izzqz 2025-04-08 14:57

Nice music!

hernandack 2025-04-08 15:02

I like how your team incorporate the depths with this kind of mechanics. Looks cool although at first I didn't read the controls so I was blank for a moment lol...

tenzz 2025-04-08 15:52

This is insane. the art style, the music, i love it. Also, idk why but i have a feeling that this could make a good rhythm-based game

smalltalkinc 2025-04-08 19:15

Wowowwoow I love this! This art style is sooo cool?! I got stuck in the tutorial for some reason, but it looks really, really good. The fonts and text boxes are a little rudamentary, but that is easily forgiven :P Nice work!

jazzydingo 2025-04-08 21:58

very cool, i had fun! the dodging ones were hard! took me a second to understand the mechanics with controlling speed. fun music too!

glurgludor 2025-04-08 22:00

Incredible graphics!

wyzal 2025-04-08 22:02

Really like art style and music. Well done!

fikusm9 2025-04-08 22:06

Had a hard time passing whose gates. I think it would be nice if their switching was somehow synced with the beat, the music is soooo awesome! All in all, pretty cool game, good job!

schadocalex 2025-04-08 22:31

La musique est très très stylée, le gameplay est prenant, les graphismes sont cools, il manque juste un score et je try hard direct. Possible de l'ajouter ?

boboneoone 2025-04-08 22:32

great artwork. controls are a bit simple and unfortunately the tutorial seems to be missing an explanation for the QTEs, but I figured it out. Also took a bit to realize the gates could only be passed when they are greyed out.

kveg 2025-04-09 01:22

Very nice time. The music goes so hard.

arthur-tang 2025-04-09 04:17

Incredible graphics and music. Game rule/control is a bit confusing.

laine-lai 2025-04-09 04:58

I like your idea, but I think it would be a bit boring for me to just go down and not have any markers or scores to accumulate. Good game overall.

python-b5 2025-04-09 06:31

Love the hand-drawn art. The method of control is maybe a little unusual - it's not a bad idea in theory, but it doesn't feel especially intuitive when playing. Making it through the blinking gates without being hit was quite difficult, since you don't see them for long enough to get a feel for the length of the cycle. I wasn't able to make it too deep because of that, unfortunately. The quicktime events are alright, though some kind of feedback might help make them feel less empty. Feedback would also be nice when you _die_; suddenly cutting to the title screen (along with stopping the audio) is quite jarring. Good work overall, could just use a little polish.

pacific14 2025-04-09 08:20

good presentation of the theme ! Well done!

tugaryn 2025-04-09 08:39

a little awkward, especially with the locks the upward movement is not so sharp, it's hard to manage. very nice art and music thanks well done

axodo 2025-04-09 09:35

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

As you can guess, we ran out of time before we could polish as we wanted to. The blinking obstacles should have been based on the music, there should have been a score (in an endless mode), difficulty should have been a bit more balanced... But we ran out of time =(

I hope you still enjoy the game!

tomas88a 2025-04-09 13:03

Love the visual!the control is not easy to understand when first try, anyway, good game!

slyz 2025-04-09 13:10

Nice game, I was going to say it was hard to understand for the blinking obstacles but then i read your comment so well yeah appart from that it's pretty good :)

croped 2025-04-09 13:14

Nice graphics and sound design was on point but the controls are confusing at first and i personally dislike QTE's but overall pretty cool little game and similiar to our game come check it out!

juliocezar 2025-04-09 13:48

Great visuals and an awesome soundtrack! I really like how you approached the theme — it actually reminds me a bit of my own game idea, which is also a kind of 'falling game'. Thanks for the inspiration, it really opened up my mind to some new game design possibilities.

dhim 2025-04-09 14:23

I could not pass the gates... my brain has a hard time figuring out this slow / speed thing with on button and synchronizing my descent with the ascent and so on...

Also what the F is QTE ???

Music and Art are nice though

anchous-blupblup 2025-04-09 15:11

Really cool art!

ludokai 2025-04-09 16:24

Just beautiful art and presentation! On the gameplay side I felt the hitboxes were a bit too big, but overall very creative entry!

delphin-casado 2025-04-09 16:41

Very cool visuals and music, I really like the overall mood. Bravo to the team!

matt-ravenhall 2025-04-09 16:44

Really cool art style!

tobaccoleopard 2025-04-09 17:23

Your game is so cool! The drawings are sublime and the music is really great. My main motivation for re-launching the game was to listen to the music again :D. Yes, I would have loved to see my best score displayed so that I could beat my previous attempts. And a little extra time to get through the portals, I often had the impression that the tip of the character's head was touching the portal when it reappeared, just in the nick of time. Well done! And by the way, I'm writing this review with the music still playing in my head - I don't think it's going to go away any time soon!

houmgaor 2025-04-09 20:20

The music is incredible, the visuals are great, and the main game loop is fun. I would really like to see an expansion of this game, after a few seconds of playing I could feel the universe behind the game beating. For me the QTE were not too fast, but hard to see (yellow over a yellowish background), and unfortunately dying replays the music so I feel stopped in my ride. Really great game!

thomas-bringer 2025-04-09 20:24

The graphics are incredible and the music slaps! The space bar mechanic to slwo down or speed up was a little bit coutnerintuitive to me, but overall gameplay was super fun!

wolfier 2025-04-09 20:32

The music and art are great but i was having a lot of trouble dealing with the locks. There's no tell on how long they are open or close and you have very little control for your own speed relative to them so it hard to get through the gap at a good time.

oxnh 2025-04-09 23:37

Really fun gameplay, decent music and art too. I enjoyed the challenge, and everything worked really well once I got past the initial hurdle of figuring out the controls. The glide control being a toggle instead of hold seemed pretty counter intuitive. The game is missing some polish here and there as well, like not having a game over screen to see your score, and the buttons not highlighting when you over. Those are nitpicks though, you got the core down really well and made a fun game. Good job.

anderson-job-loeffler 2025-04-10 00:17

Really unique and charming art style; I loved the color palette, I feel like you didn't make the obvious choices hehe. The music was fantastic and totally got me hyped, haha. Overall, a solid and delightful entry. Congrats on an awesome game!

atoxigner 2025-04-10 08:12

Interesting game mechanics, excellent art and sound design. The QTE design also adds a nice challenge to the game!

nyxkn 2025-04-10 09:56

Hey really cool game idea! Took a while to figure out the controls. You'd expect the character to move with arrow keys. Once figured out it's quite fun. The hitboxes on the obstacles were MASSIVE though. You'd get hit without the sprites even overlapping. You usually want the hit/hurtboxes to be actually smaller than the sprite for good feel. Otherwise collisions feel very annoying. Also never default to sound being at max level :) Good that you had a setting but it was only reachable from main menu and not in-game, so just make sure that the default is sensible! Art and music was nice and a good aesthetic. But a few gameplay implementation issues and unclear onboarding.

texugo 2025-04-10 11:46

I love the art and the gameplay idea, it feels really unique and cool! It was really hard passing through the gates, but still a fun challenge. Love the take on the theme, congrats for you game!

soul-grinder 2025-04-10 12:06

I like doodle art style in games, nice work! Interesting idea for the theme too. Took me a while to know what I was doing before I started to get further, quite a challenging game but was fun too.

euler-moises 2025-04-10 12:41

Beautiful art. The mechanics are very interesting. The hard part is dodging the chains. :)

Congratulations!

captaindreamcast 2025-04-10 18:34

Amazing game! The art is phenomenal, the use of colors gives it that particular wonderland feel like you're falling through a special realm. The music is amazing as well, it also really helps build the mood of the game, it also perfectly embodies that "Wonderland" quality (plus it's super catchy, absolute bops) I love how the same motifs are present in multiple stages, that also drives home the sense of progression. Gameplay definitely has the type of quality that sucks you in, I enjoyed finding ways to better survive the hazards. Like when I figured out that most of the non-qte hazards follow a pattern where you can either keep falling to make it through all of them, or need to brake with a peculiar rhythm. Figuring that out was very fun! Very cool take on the theme, great job!

buni 2025-04-10 19:18

I really like the mechanics of the game. Quite difficult but well done :)

protzz 2025-04-11 16:49

I am really like the art style!!!

andreas-roschal 2025-04-11 22:27

Great art style and music! It's unfortunate you ran out of time to finish on everything you planned. Maybe you will continue on it and release a post-jam version? I think what you already have here is pretty neat. :)

rubixnoob13 2025-04-12 00:20

Really loved the hand-drawn art! Music was cool (I had to turn it down a bit tho because it was very loud, but still good!)

Took me a minute to figure out how to avoid the gate thingies, and I still was terrible at timing them correctly, so I died a lot. Still, solid entry, good work!

7uc4s 2025-04-12 14:48

I'm probably stupid, but it also took me a minute to understand the controls  otherwise the graphics are very nice, music also, but I think I'd have enjoyed having increasingly difficulty on the QTE

librory 2025-04-12 17:00

I read ur comments that u ran out of time to polish game, so that's okay. I like the idea, it could be a great rhytm game if there are more accent on that, so looking forward for that. Art and music is just super cool!

caer 2025-04-12 18:04

The quick-time events were an interesting mechanic, and I enjoyed the art and environment design! The spacebar controls took me a few tries to understand, and I was a little confused about the blinking obstacles--I think it'd have been neat to have some way to speed the character up to help with avoiding the blinking obstacles.

skyeward 2025-04-12 20:53

Love the art style here so much! The environments and character art are beautiful and I just wanted to hang out in the world. Found the spacebar controls kind of difficult to get the hang of at first, but it was a fun challenge and a nice take on the theme

bad-fetus 2025-04-12 22:24

I found it very hard to judge the timings of the toggling platforms, maybe it would be nice if there was an even faster speed to help with when it's an awkward distance. The gameplay was fun other than that.

The art was gorgeous, and the music was fantastic. Very well done on both fronts, it certainly is a spectacle. With some gameplay tweaks I can see this being a perfect mobile game to play on the train etc. Well done!

icks 2025-04-13 11:35

Really neat concept (took me a while to get it; the tutorial seems bugged), and gorgeous art style!

I found that dodging the spacebar obstacles was impossible.

calitoucourt 2025-04-13 21:51

love it ! I would love to try the 3rd level but it's too hard for me i think...

shisengumii 2025-04-13 21:55

What a wonderfull game !

axodo 2025-04-14 08:47

@andreas-roschal yeah we are already working on a post jam version (well, mainly the other dev because I take a break ^^). We already have some bugs corrections, working tutorial, seamless transitions between level, and we will adjust difficulty and add new kind of obstacles as well. Stay tuned for more! :)

lllarso 2025-04-14 10:11

Cool entry. The game loop was interesting and fun. The art is very good. The health bar is visible and fitting to the style.

I found the "arrow keys" sections to be too easy, while I had a lot of troubles passing through the other obstacles (the timing one) and I have gaming experience with this kind of obstacles. Something felt off.

The music is very nice. I like the beginning of the soundtrack (clicking till the level starts) and the rest of the music added to the atmosphere of falling down. Congrats to this game! :)

borabee 2025-04-14 14:41

Thanks for all your feedbacks you all! :)

alex-mironchuk 2025-04-14 16:51

It turned out to be a very beautiful and stylish game!

oeuegha 2025-04-15 10:57

Good impact from inputs and nice art style.

beardywombat 2025-04-16 09:44

Stylish game, liked the music and art. The quick time events were an interesting mix-up, but I really wanted to float left and right.

atsh 2025-04-16 11:59

Lots of comments so I'm not sure I'm repeating myself

Very nice art and especially music. It took me sometime to realize it's a mix of dance dance revolution and start stop gameplay. I liked the interprtation of the theme, and it felt chaotic as it should be for Alice in wonderland inspired game, but sadly I'm not fast enough to progress much, so I enjoyed much of the graphics thanks to your screenshots

Maybe difficulty modes or more progressive difficulty can be cool for someone like me, but not game should be for everyone :)

mooyett 2025-04-22 21:15

I enjoyed the graphics and the keys combination to remove obstacles is a nice idea, however the blinking obstacles seemed super hard to me, I couldn't pass the first stage. Good entry :)

ava-skoog 2025-04-24 16:36

Fun! But really difficult for me 😅 I only managed to reach the second level once after trying dozens of times over the course of half an hour, so it was very punishing that there was no checkpoint.

I like the Wonderland direction, neat way of using it. Fits the LD theme well. I enjoyed the recognisable things from the story falling along the sides of the screen.

The music is really good and the ticking again fits the Alice story; it would've been cool if it'd been more incorporated into the gameplay as well, since there are already rhythm game elements with the arrows and the timing.

Timing is what I struggled the most with I think. I did eventually catch on to some things and get better but it was still very difficult. I think I would've liked to have three speeds, a slower one in addition to the two currently in the game. Also only speeding up while holding space instead of turning it on and off, as I often forgot to toggle it back (tho tbf that's a skill issue on my part!).

Overall I liked it and if I didn't have so little time left to play more LD games I would've kept trying! Luckily you've more than enough ratings, so good luck! 😁
