I think it is one of the most unique ideas I had played in this LD so far. But I'm not as good playing rythm games ... :D But I got the Idea and everything looks well designed. Good work!

Interesting. A bit too trial and error heavy for my taste. The background music made it a bit harder to count beats.
Nice game! The timing was hard to get right though, i wish there was some kind of way to know the time instead of the game being "die and retry". Overall nice potential still!
I beat it but I'm not gonna lie that was really hard haha. Fun concept using a timeline at the top to help players line up the drops with the information given. Good job!
This game gives me the "Aha!" moment. Love it
A simple and fun little game idea. A bit difficult to do it right, but it was still fun to try the game. Overall a good jam game. Well done.
it would be nice with some sort of indicator showing how much time it takes for a rock to hit the bottom. also it was sometimes a bit finicky to drop the rocks into the smaller holes. other than that, very cool little idea for a game! it was fun to figure out.
interesting idea, adding a restart button could be useful, was hard but i reached the end screen, well done!
This is indeed a very unique and interesting perspective on the theme! I also really like its clean art style and simple and light music. Overall, it is a very cozy and fun experience.
Interesting idea. I am not finished, solve 4 holes, it was a to hard for me do it with touchpad, maybe buttons for drops will be better. But I like this kind of games, It is some unusual like art for me.
One of the more original rhythm games I've played for sure. I like the touch of the size of the hole corresponding to the length of the drop.
Props for having precise timing down, keeping things predictable and consistently modal (like, I thought I had to hold down the mouse button at first, turns out you click to pick up and click again to let go, really appreciated that level of control).
To build off what @mr-mesmer was saying, simply clicking on the holes to drop a rock in it might make timing things a bit easier. I felt a bit rushed trying to drag the rocks over in time. This could also help with missing rocks for the smaller holes, though I didn't have this problem myself. Works fine as is though, I like the unique idea!
Stone aiming mechanics confused me - was judging by rotation and shadows when all along you just click dead center on the target! :D
This is a really cool idea, but is really tricky. You have a really cool mechanic here that I actually think is really interesting, but the issue is the rhythm starts when you drop the first rock. This means if you drop the first rock off of the beat of the music, it makes it more difficult to time things, causing the music to go against the mechanics.
I think the best fix would be to have ambient environment sound for the game, and the music track doesn't actually start until after you drop the first rock. Each puzzle could be a really short almost sting like track that is the length of the rhythm pattern. I think this would immediately help a lot, as you wouldn't be fighting against the music. And then you can play an almost win sound when they succeed!
While the player could just drop their first drop on beat to the music, it means if they accidentally miss, they have to do the whole pattern off the beat. So starting the music tracks on first click could help.
I like that it feels like a casual, rhythm based puzzle game that has multiple solutions actually. And I personally don't mind the trial and error, and I think people who are fans of puzzle based games that commonly have a level reset button won't mind either. I actually like discovering the length of each hole, and it's kind of fun to piece together the puzzle, especially since it has multiple solutions it seems.
You could have different hole types as well. Maybe a hole with a trampoline at the bottom that causes a second bounce or something like that.
Thank you for making this, it's a really cool interesting mechanic and game!
2025-04-11_09-56.pngLets go. Very fun original idea. For future improvements it might be cool if each hole can be assigned to a key. I could see how maybe dragging the mouse around could be frustrating, but it wasn't too bad for me. People were talking about rythm, idk sounds didn't really seem to be synced up to any type of beat. I just did my timing based on the top bar.
Not gonna lie, I love the sound of that rock falling :D. I think you got a very cool mechanic, but it's currently not easy to grasp because it requires more die-and-retry logic than actual sense of rhythm to get right imho. Maybe presenting things a bit differently could improve that, although I don't have a direct answer or suggestion to that. Regardless, the idea seems to have potential, the graphics are great, so that's an outstanding COMPO entry!
Really cool idea and mechanics! I agree that the music not matching the rocks falling makes things a little more difficult. But still, this was really great, fun and innovative
Very unique idea and combination of genres. It was fun, great graphics, but I found it hard to play and couldn't finish it. Still a pleasant experience, thanks
Interesting idea, keep up the good work !

Challenging and stylishly looking rhythm game in a unique game-design!

Wow! Wasn't too easy, but managed to complete all levels. Requires being quick, precise and smart to beat! Great job!
Wow, what a unique idea! It took me a while to get it, I don't think I have seen anything similar to it. Very original!
Why did you opt out of humor though?
Quite fresh idea! Nice puzzle game. Well done!
My strategy for this was to duplicate the rock a bunch of times before starting and line up the duplicates at the edges of the holes. At that point it might as well just let me click a hole to drop a rock in it rather than requiring the extra step of carrying it over. Alternatively, you could somehow make the manipulation of the rocks more relevant to the puzzle, say by limiting the number of duplicates or adding physical barriers.
I managed to beat it though! It's a great idea and a good length for a compo game.
