This movement system is amazing. If you're having fun just y jumping and moving around, you know you have something great. Please keep working on this. It shows a lot of promise.

It's alright. I wish the theme could have been implemented better. Also the miss sfx is too loud in the mix imho. Fun for a bit.
This one's great. The atmosphere, the visuals, very simplistic but it makes for a great impression. The sounds were great, and you even had me pondering some of these for a while.
Nailed the creepy atmosphere. The spawn points for enemies should not work if the player is nearby, otherwise you get telefragged by spawning enemies
This looks really good, but it locks up when I try to take my second turn with the nerd. Tried it three times, same bug every time
Big fan of pico 8 here, nice little game. I felt it wastoo easy to get hit by orbs that were lingering "behind" the player, made it a bit frustrating.
Great to see some interactive fiction here. I'm enjoying this. I'll probably return to it after rating some more games, but the premise of the first handful of rooms after the title intrigued me already
The presentation is top notch, the graphics are great, the voiceover is genuinely funny. This would be an easy 5/5 across if the gameplay was a bit more interesting. I ended up wanting more, like, wanting anything out of it other than walk close and spam attack.
I'm not even done with this one and I know I'm giving it 5s across. It's incredibly good. The movement mechanics are great, the level design is fun to explore, the presentation is super charming.
The only thing I can nitpick about this is that it's particularly hard to jump over lava floor without accidentally touching it, there should be some built in leeway when doing so, it gets frustrating.
I think there's a hint of a good game here, but the current gameplay loop turns tedious very quickly
Interesting game. I'm not a huge fan of tech tree games but I ended up playing this for like half an hour. I wish there was a bit more to the early game other than just suicide attacking until you have enough health to defeat the blue guy. I enjoyed the visuals a lot.
I'm voting a 5 on graphics and I really hope you place high there because these are amazing. Major kudos. I did not "get" the game?I haven't played rusty lake so maybe the references were lost on me, but Most of the interactions seemed reasonable.
Interesting. A bit too trial and error heavy for my taste. The background music made it a bit harder to count beats.
I love it. The graphics and the sound effects make me happy. I had a hard time figuring out that you can only drink if you stand still, I feel this could be taught in some way. Small rocks can spawn under beers and ruin your highscore worthy run. Please draw the rocks on top if you end up revisiting this one.
This could a bit more with some slight tweaks to the speeds of both the player and the enemies. As it is now. it's trivial to just turn them into a slow blob that stays at the middle of the screen
I love the music. Really enjoyed the idea behind this, even if the execution was a bit iffy.
Loved your interpretation of the theme. Sadly it's melting my PC. Could you provide standalone downloads?
Awesome, thank you!
Nice one! I wish you'd implemented something when a wrong key is pressed, otherwise mashing the entire keyboard seems to be the best strategy
Great models, man! The platforming was a bit too stiff for my taste, but managed to finish it both ways. I enjoyed the alternate wincon. The bouncy slime and the levitating objects gave me a hint of something more that is not here, and I'd love to see it.
Lovely, short and sweet. I wish this had a better control scheme, but everything else is top notch. Had a blast playing it.
Can you please reply to this tomorrow so I try this one again? I'm confused but very intrigued
@kaliuresis thank you for the reminder.
I love this kind of game and I loved figuring this one out. I do think a slightly better tutorial is needed, if only because I would not have figured out that links are sliders if I hadn't opened the hints. I do feel I'm fighting the interface half of the time. Wanting to see how tweaking some values around works for one input i part6icular is super annoying, as you have to wait for the entire cycle and only get a couple seconds to do so. Also, if there's another way of linking a node to the output that isn't at creation, I haven't figured it out, which makes trying stuff near the output very annoying every time you want to re add a link you closed. I'm enjoying it, will probably keep playing a bit before rating it, but these seem like the frustrating reasons I would drop this game over. The sounds and the graphics are really nice and I would love to hear about how you hand write wasm.
Awesome man, thanks for the thorough reply, it's been illuminating. I'm really enjoying this game and I'd love to see it expanded after the jam is over, it feels like it has potential to be a commercial product.
Holy shit. This one was amazing. The whole puzzle of figuring out the game was great, and the two mazes were very well designed to work together. Layered music was lovely. Anything I can say about this is nitpicking, like how the colissions were a bit janky sometimes, or how the first two layers don't really explain the mechanics underneath. But, completely minor. I loved this game. I would really like to see more of this.
I like what you have here but I really hated this control scheme lmao. Appreciate the difficulty options, maybe show them in the end screen so people can actually measure their performances?
I love the artstyle here, and the game, while certainly derivative, is really good. I'd love to see this expanded post ld!
Interesting. I love the audio, the pitch shifting tone as you go down is a great addition. Visually very pretty, would love to see more of this
Great game. I wish tunnels were a little more important, it feels too easy to mindlessly dig as long as mines are being closed. Maybe some tiles with tunnels and mines?
The itch link is broken
Great little fun-ducational thingie. I saw the last fun fact fact coming from a mile away yet it still surprised me! I wish your ocean had a bit more life in it, it felt like the fishes were in like 4 meters out of theentire depth. Loved it otherwise.
I've played the game you took the gameplay from, and I was happy too see it again for a bit. But after a handful of plays I'm not sure your additions to the game are that enjoyable. Some of the spells are interesting, but the trinkets trivialize a lot of the game.
All of this in 48 hours is still amazing, so major kudos.
I would have never figured out this was an 8 directional shooter if you didn't tell me. I was having a bit of fun, thought the giant pools of enemies were hilarious, but then got to the boss, died, and was sent all the way up. You lost me there, this really needs some checkpoint system
This was actually pretty good after figuring out what's going on. I got a couple of ladders that were not usable? And I had to keep digging some more to reveal a new ladder. Is this intended?
The enemy spawning seems a bit too unrefined. You will have enemies spawn in your way, and they are extremely hard to dodge. I had some fun with it, kudos!
Lovely little game. I enjoyed my time with it. The graphics are very charming
Cute little game. Loved the graphics, especially the parallax. The gameplay could be greatly improved by making fireballs a bit more predictable, and giving the sword a more satisfying arc (I thought it was an interesting choice that you could only fight up or down during the early level, but then satan came in and swinging the whole sword just to hit him at the end of the arc felt silly)
Very nice. Music and general mood are 10/10. I feel a better camera would have done wonders for this game, made it much less or a gamble to fall down. Otherwise, very solid for what it is.
Got here after reading your comment. Yes, this is the correct interpretation of the theme. I think choosing to make a rhythm game in a weekend was very bold, but the tracking of the songs suffered a bit for it. It just feels random at times. Keep gachi alive, nonetheless
Small update: A player found a softlock I was not aware of. I think it should be fixed, please tell me if you somehow lock yourself out of the ending.
The weird vibe is great. I also really appreciate the platform hanging animation, even though it interrupts the flow of double jumping quite a bit?
I absolutely love the walking sfx.
What a lovely little game! The mechanics are simple but it feels like there's room for depth here. The difficulty ramp feels too punishing, maybe with some extra puzzles it could be sanded down. Great job! Would love to see more of this!
