Very strange game, I like it ^_^
Loved the strange aesthetics and mood. Gameplay is more on the simple side but I still had fun going through the levels! Well done.
The game didn't make it clear that double jumping was an option but once you figured that out traversing the level was a bit of fun. The parallax effect seems wrong since it's faster than the normal scrolling speed, this makes it feel like the camera is rotating around instead of moving with the character. I'd also like some sort of health indicator and indication of how many pickups are left before unlocking next level. Thanks for a nice game
Oh yeah I didn't get the double jump either, a small hint always helps! The parallax doesn't seem right as the person before me mentioned. Otherwise it's an interesting entry with unique graphics !

Player controls on a platform are everything and your controls are great. The background made me a little sick since it was so brightly colored but it looks good while still. edit: I think I'm particularly sensitive to this sort of thing though.

The weird vibe is great. I also really appreciate the platform hanging animation, even though it interrupts the flow of double jumping quite a bit?

really cool graphics! didn't expect to be able to climb ledges, that was a neat touch. the camera felt like it was kind of hesitating to show where I was going and i usually prefer games where the character has a bit of momentum instead of just stopping as soon as you let go of the movement key, but those are my only complaints. i really like the atmosphere, the sprites were very interesting without being unreadable at all. great work!
Pretty graphics and the gameplay was fairly smooth! I really liked the climbing ledges aspect, though on the smaller ledges it became a slight hassle. Other than that, the game was really nice to play and didn't take too long to beat it!
The graphics here are really something else :) and together with the audio created really nice atmosphere. The game was classic and fun. I really liked the detail of climbing over the ledges
I think the parallex background move way to fast, and the enemies were not really that interesting. I also didn't realized that some coins are below me, because it looks like a pit
But again, very solid game, that is elevated with the quirky presentation

Liked the style and the pixel art itself but it was almost nauseating to look at really. It was way too busy. So many bright colors made it hard to distinguish stuff. Especially in the last level. The background parallax was going the wrong (further things should move slower, not faster) way too which looked very trippy and confusing. The camera movement was also a bit awkward cause it let you go forward without being able to keep up which resulted in it only showing you like 20% of the space forward.
The enemies weren't really a threat as their shots just whizz by the player character. I guess unless you manage to jump to them. Even though I constantly kept messing up x/space keys (which would have made a lot more sense to me the other way around), they still didn't manage to hurt me.
Other than that, it controlled pretty well. The climb was a bit sticky and slow but it didn't matter that much really. The full square collider shape for the player sometimes caused weirdness as there is lot of empty space behind the sprite that still collides with the ground. Something a bit smaller usually works a lot better.
But the biggest issue really was the lack of on screen counter for the coins. It was very frustrating to wander all the way to the end to check whether there still might be some sneaky coin hiding in some corner.

I wasn't sure what to do at first haha, but once I figured it out I really loved that double jump. Also, I did enjoy each level having much more of an area than the previous one! 'Tis was fun

Nice and polished platformer mechanics. Background parallax is pretty crazy and kinda blends with the middleground, but other than that the graphics are fire :fire:
