I love the artstyle here, and the game, while certainly derivative, is really good. I'd love to see this expanded post ld!

Just beat it - great game! Took me a try or two to understand the numbers are monster level, even though the tutorial explained that. Makes it quite taxing on my brain, but the bullets are here to save me from ambiguity. I like it.
Your text keep saying that if we see danger level 3 it could be 2 ver1.0 and a ver2.0 but that would make difficulty 4 ?
It was hard at first, but then I understand the bullet increasing with my level and the reason for killing ennemies.
Solid entry!
@dhim omg, good catch! thank! I'll fix it. Bad math on me. :face_palm:
Quick math! https://youtu.be/3M_5oYU-IsU?si=nGaYVhYZX_E8xJD0&t=62
Played till the end and loved it! There is something about it meing hard to grasp at first, but once you get it it's really cool! (Maybe some iterations on the tutorial would be the best return on investment.)
One mechanic I think you did really well is that despite the board sometimes creating ambiguous solutions (I think), instead of punishing the player you give them HP and weapons to allow for errors. My game coincidentally is also a Minesweeper-like but it's quite brutal because any bad guess is an instant game over. Nice job! Will borrow your idea if I ever remake that game :)
I really enjoyed the vibe with the little windows with plenty of detail!
@christian-zommerfelds Played your game and love it! Left a review there. I think it makes sense to punish for bad guess in your game, because it has a more hard core puzzle game play style (maybe can allow player to restart on same level to be more forgiving? that way the progression would be more rewarding).
On the other hand, I think I should reduce my bullet count. My original plan was that player can supposedly kill all enemies on all levels (spend a bunch of time implementing the ability to go back to previous rooms). But now I feel only using the bullet for extreme cases might be better...
I love your stuff!!!!! Loved Tamago Sweeper last time around.
The vibe here is really, really lovely.
The bullet mechanic is neat, and I really like the XP + leveling. Would love to see this expanded~
Good twist on minesweeper. May be my favorite Compo entry so far. I can see an entire roguelike game built on this! I may borrow your idea if I ever make that game haha. My only criticism is having to read through a lot of text to grasp how the game is played (and still a bit confused at the start of level 2 to be honest), definitely iterate on tutorials imo. I would appreciate if you allow players to restart on the same level but your call. Well done!
@hubol thanks!!! I saw your game right after you posted on itch, but had to wait after work to finish it. Absolutely love it! Writing a comment/feedback right now XD.
@thisyc Thank you so much for liking :point_right: :point_left: .
Yeah, definitely need to think of better ways to explain the rules, and maybe a check point at each floor  . Yes please use the idea and make more games! I took the multi-leveled mine inspiration from those game: Mamono Sweeper https://hojamaka.com/games/mamono_sweeper Cavern Sweeper https://hempuli.itch.io/cavern-sweeper Mamono Mower https://hempuli.itch.io/mamono-mow
Great take on a classic! It would have been nice if the text was more crisp, but other than that I really enjoyed the experience.
You've discovered my weakness, minesweeper.
Nice take on minesweeper mechanics. The multiple "versions" of the enemies made for an interesting puzzle, but the bullets felt a bit pointless. Maybe after killing an enemy, the surrounding numbers could change to remove that enemy, that way bullets can be useful to decrease the mental load on more complex puzzles
Unique take on minesweeper! Really felt nice to play through and see how far I could get.
It turned out original, it was fun to play, funny drawings, thanks for this experience
I really enjoyed this! I like the fact that you kinda want to clear out the enemies, rather than just marking and avoiding. I don't know that I like the amount of bullets that you get, but maybe if I spent more time with endless mode, I'd find it to be a little more difficult, I was just a little strapped for time before I made my initial ratings.
@talif-moor Thank you so much for playing! Great point. My initial plan was that you can theoretically go back and forth to clear every single enemy as you progress because I enjoy games where you can do that. But there need to be more content and design for that to be fun. And now I think about it, it probably is better to have just enough bullets to proceed, so you save the bullets for extreme cases to make the playstyle more challenging. And yes, endless mode does have less bullet spawn rate than the first 5 levels.
nice take on the theme -- and a great twist on a classic game -- thanks for making it
That was awesome! A well done variation of one of my favorite classics. I just wish it had the double-click feature.
I feel like my success is largely dependent on my experience with Minesweeper in the past -- I'm not especially fast so restarting all the way from the beginning after a single mistake ruined this a bit for me :(
That said it's impressive work for 48h. I'm afraid I didn't really understand the bullet mechanics. I got to level 3.
It was a bit confusing as the numbers sort of left it up to RNG which squares may or may not have an enemy, and picking a bullet that wasn't strong enough, and clicking a square was a 50/50 death on level 2. Overall loved the take on minesweeper, I just wish it was a bit more forgiving, perhaps a restart the current level?
I love Minesweeper and this one is very well done and I really like its overall aesthetic.
I liked the game, I used to play Minesweeper a lot. The graphics perfectly match the aesthetics of Minesweeper. The only thing that confused me was the mechanics with the ammo, I still didn't understand how to kill the bots.
Good news: your browser version on itch already works really well on Android, sans for font size (had to put some effort into reading level numbers :D). I would totally play this as a mobile game! Very good idea and it's super fun once you grasp the mechanics. My only feedback is, click through text tutorials usually don't work well and it's always best to show, not tell - but I get why you made it, as for the jam scope it's often the only possible thing to do, and I fell into doing this many times myself :) overall, this was great fun!
Minesweeper but with a twist, loving it! Very creative idea and well implemented. On my first attempt I thought I need to avoid all enemies, and then when I had to take a guess I used the blue bullet but since I was rank 0 I instantly died xD
On the second attempt I quickly got through the first 5 levels. After that I just used all my bullets and spam clicked randomly and made it to F18 like that xD
I feel like you could really reduce the amount of bullets you get ;)
Hope you keep working on this, very cool game!

Thank you for the game! I really like it. I probably will play it in my free time now :) Will be cool if you add QoL change showing in right panel how many bots left like (bot v3 - 1/3)
