Nice, I like the atmosphere. Are there multiple endings? I got to one.

The mood in this one... definitely a nightmare fuel. I really enjoyed these small platforming challenges though.

The graphics are cool, but a little disorienting. Maybe that's a good thing for this atmosphere. Unfortunately, I got stuck. There were several things that just said 'PROMPT [E]' but nothing happened so I'm not sure what I was supposed to be doing. Wonderful style though. Good job!

That music makes this game so creepy. I like it. The pixelated graphics also look cool, but I would add a shader to simulate low vertex precision to make it even cooler. Cheers :)

As said before, definitely a strong atmospheric game. Was a super cool take on delving deeper and deeper into the sewers, and It definitely felt like it with the increased darkness/danger as I went lower and lower. I was also unable to use my trusty plunger past the I think 3rd level? Not sure why.

The general atmosphere was super creepy and I genuinely got scared at one point (even with the lack of sounds). Seeing the, *whatever* those things were running around was a sight to behold. And the music was a great addition.

Until it got very repetitive.

Overall, well done!

Nice game !

Absolutely amazing atmosphere in this! The low res early playstation vibes im getting totally fit the mood that the story is giving. Personally, I think that the walk speed is just low enough for it to be a bit annoying, especially if you find yourself at a dead end and must go all the way back. There were times when I thought a gate was supposed to open, but when I pressed E nothing happened. Overall though, very solid entry.

this is a proper mid 2000's shooter, real nice work. amazing environment design.

Cool, spooky game. Liked how the characters looked and the story was nice too. Only thing which didn't work so well was the jumping. Good job!

I can tell that there's a very thought out plan and level design of this game. It has an atmosphere and characters that fit together with the rest of the game. I got stuck on the platform place though. Maybe that's on me for playing on a laptop.

One thing that I think was interesting, I'm not sure if it was intentional, when you see that long monster stand behind bars, then you get the key, unlock a door, every time I had to look behind to make sure I didn't unlock the monster. Thought that was unsettling and well executed!

If you are looking for feedback I would probably suggest to make it easier to climb up at the platform and maybe have less stuff in the start of the level because I ended up looking around for stuff without finding anything (the rubble looked like items).

Well done and nice work! :)

Awesome level design and atmosphere! This game brings back some great memories for me!

silas-reinagel 2021-04-28 20:29

One recommendation I have.

Give a little bit of coyote time for jumps. That will make the platforming sections feel a little more fluid and make the player feel more empowered.

pretty atmospheric game! Not sure why your plunger just kinda... stops.. working after a while but i did enjoy what i played

sheepolution 2021-04-29 22:38

I love the retro aesthetic. it reminds me of the first Tomb Raider a bit. The monsters look quite scary. Some jumps were very strict where you almost had to do them pixel perfect, would be nice if those weren't so strict. Good job though!

I was so intrigued by the art-style of this game I had to check it out. It didn't disappoint. I played it on my stream as well! Here is the VOD if you are interested: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1003973151

I really like the graphics for this its in a great ps1/retro style. The music was very reptitive though!

Good creepy atmosphere :) cool music.

Did anyone else have performance issues when they got to the glowing green waste? I swear, my FPS dropped to the single digits whenever I looked at it.

Overall, I think you had some strong atmosphere, but there is definitely a need for a bit more polish. Things like the performance drop above, to some physics bugs that made me completely slow down while in midair, to some minor quality-of-life additions like some sound effects to tell if you've picked up an object or whether you can't open a door right now.

I really like the atmosphere and pixel look. In place where I could theoretically look far into the distance, I'd prefer it, if the effect would be turned down a bit. I'd also recommend giving the player some sort of feedback (sound and/or text) when they interact with a gate without having a key. I also really liked the npcs. Some of them will haunt me in my dreams, but that's a good quality for this atmosphere

That was great. I love the pixelated shader and the atmosphere was sufficiently creepy. Better sound design is the main thing it was lacking. The levels were good, but getting out of the holes in the ground was a pain. Especially the one right before you get the plunger. Also for some reason I could not damage the the enemy the other side of the pit after you get the shotgun. Gates could do with a prompt before you get the key. It is bad you get a prompt to press E that does nothing. Also the prompt got in the way of aiming at the creature I mentioned earlier as it doesn't go away once the gate is opened. The normal walk felt too slow for anything, and holding shift for the entire game was uncomfortable. An always run option would have ben nice.

Adored the graphics, and the mood -- spooky settings are my jam. Interesting character dialogue kept me moving forward, and encouraged exploration. Getting stuck in holes occasionally got a little frustrating, but eventually got the knack for getting back out.

Really enjoyed this one.

The filter graphic you are using to make everything look pixelated was pretty cool, besides a few graphical glitches it looked pretty impressive. I like how you reward the player for exploration and investigating new areas. The game play was a little basic but it was all right, I just wish there was a way to change back to the plunger. The game was supposed to be scary but the enemies didn't really make sound to help that happen. Congrats on finishing a game in a short amount of time that rewards the player for decision that encourage exploration!
