Nice game. Immediately knew what to do when rocks came flying at me. Intuitive, corny art and good SFX. Music would have been a nice addition I think!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Oregano Thanks

This is a prime example of graphics not making the game. Incredibly fun, I was really surprised by how fun it was to protect the plant. I would say you could improve on the UI the most, I couldn't tell what all the bars on the screen ment, but I had fun blasting away!
Definitely one of the most fun games I've played on Lumin Dare 46. The graphics are low-budget but that adds to the charm and all in all it was a fun experience and a half
I like the difficulty scaling. Feels really natural, especially since you keep getting upgrades. The heavy use of particles didn't really match the graphics in my opinion, and I was wishing for some music, but it was a fun and conceptually-interesting entry overall!

Heh, I think you're right. I used them in this project because I don't have a lot of experience with what they're capable of, so I wanted some practice. Thank you for the wonderful feedback!
One of the most fun games so far, I will say it took me much longer than it should have to realize you can shoot the boulders (pretty sure the game litterally told me I could i just did a dumb). At first the graphic seems a bit plain, but the main characters little knee bend honestly was just too perfect with the goofyish tone I felt at the start with the Title screen joke. The game play is satisfing, when I blocked some of those end waves it was sick! Fun entry. If I had any sujestions it would be make the background contrast with the boulders better, they were a bit dark and while not super hard to see, defiently would become an issue if the game had more levels / was harder.
Great little game. Thought the characters walking animation was funny
This was a very fun little game!
Well that got stressful and out of control - really fun game! One thing to note, I'm playing on a laptop with a trackpad and can't left & right click at the same time, so I can't use the portable shield. Well done!
It wasn't that hard as a fan of shooter games. I think the portable shields are a bit overpowered. The text that pops up on the middle of the screen is also kind of distracting. I'd use a different sound for when a meatball hits the plant, as it was sometimes hard to tell if I was successfully shielding being so close to the plant. Besides being mostly programmer art, it's still very enjoyable overall.
Not sure if you can fail in this game :D Anyway for a while it was fun and hectic! Pretty mesmerizing.
the game is too easy. but I enjoyed it regardless.
I think the game would benefit from making upgrades choices. and some difficulty.
Lol, it was weirdly fun :D I like the tempo of the game
It gets a little frantic but I don't think I started to lose until I got a little lazy. Great job for compo, 48 hours is so little time but this has a good gameplay loop.
For a first game, great use of the engine and playing around with mechanics. From a game design point of view, this feels more like a toy than a game and I would have loved to have an indicator along the lines of: "Stage 1 - Grow to plant level 7 without getting it more than 20 times." I understand 48 hours is a very short time and I am not suggesting having multiple levels, but I feel games with win conditions or at least some kind of highscore you can compare with friends is worth adding, even if this means other content has to stand back. But again, great first time project :)
