Super polished/fun with a lot of attention to detail, and a cool take on such a classic game :D Great work all around.
This would make for a great mobile game! Well done! I love a good spin on a classic game!
TODO: review game
I like the idea, visuals and the music. I am not super fan of the controls, but it works okay, and it would work very well on a mobile. Overall a good jam game. Well done.
Nice idea
Really fun and polished game. The only complaint I have is that the balls seems to disappear quite quickly.
This is an interesting idea for a game. It's intuitive and familiar, but still feels fresh and original. The sound effects and visuals are good, and I particularly like the little details like particle effects and screen shake. The only thing that bothers me is that it's not clear how to avoid losing. It seems to be almost entirely luck-based, with the ability to keep playing based on how many extra pimbles you find...
Fun and interesting take on brick brake style game, graphics and sound effects fit the game well. Personally I'd have preferred the balls to last forever and for the challenge to be on keeping the bricks from crossing the line rather than on trying to make the balls last as long as possible. Other than that I really like it.
This felt really cohesive and polished, and it was fun! The sounds you made fit really well, and the juicy things like the screen shaking a bit were amazing. Clicking and dragging to throw the pimbles was a neat idea, but in practice it made my hand a little sore after a while. I wish I could play this on something with a touch screen!
It might be neat to be able to start anywhere on the screen to drag-throw a pimble, rather than having to start on the pimble itself, and only have one instead of multiple (or if you have multiple, throw them all at once!). I think that might have made my wrist less tense. Also, I do wish there was more strategy or aim involved; it felt random every time I ran out of pimbles but I wanted to keep going!
Great game, and great job; I liked it!
Omg, this game is so simple and yet very fun! You could probably sell this on mobile phones. Very solid compo entry! Congratulations!
Fun and fantastic game. Enjoyed it a lot. Keep it up!
Great and fun tweak of the classical breakouts. As other said, it would totally work on touch screen.
The actual balls are a bit difficult to grab with the mouse pointer. I would have loved to be able to get them easier, so that I could throw them at a higher speed, and see many balls bouncing everywhere in the game. It would have been a pure moment of joyful brick destruction.
Rewarding the player for breaking multiple bricks in one throw would also have improved the gameplay.
Thank you for this idea !
Great game and great art ! It's difficult throwing the balls with the mouse but that's a really cool game that could be played on a touch screen instead :) Good job !
This game would be perfect for touchscreens. I also liked the twist on the arkanoid game concept
