LOL!
This game was directly inspired by my experience with a certian game jam's website
I can't seem to play most downloaded games. But I like the bit I was able to read through
I'm a sucker for these types of games so I personally really enjoyed it :) I love how you fit a classic idle/management game into the theme so well.
One things I was stuck on for a while was exiting the money screen, it wasn't intuitive that I had to click the money button again. Perhaps adding a close button for the UI or changing the colour of the money button so it's togglable would help make that clearer.
I also really enjoyed the music, it's nice and calm and fits the atmosphere of the game really well.
One things I would change is to maybe make the walls that are close to the camera dissapear so the player doesn't have to rotate to see every element in the game. Currently, if I place something by the edges, there are certain angles I can't see them from.
The UI can also get really hard to read when the camera is very zoomed out, maybe it makes sense to have the UI not scale with the camera zoom?
Overall, I really enjoyed the game; Good work! :)
Thanks a lot and I will try to fix the bugs you told me about
quite a unique spin on a "cookie clicker" haha it is quite fun although i have this problem where half way through i cant close the finances window and it blocks like 90% of the screen :p good job!
Interesting tycoon sim, I liked the security fix. Really well done!
to close the window you have to click on the button on the bottom of the game window(Money button).
So I wanted to be a smart a**, increased the time and set revenue gain to max before loosing visitors, then I let it run for a while. I felt like Rockefeller until the bills came :(. Such a great idea, writing such a complex system in just a weekend is mindboggling, also I like very much the tune you created.
Thanks a lot! I thought people would do this so I implemented this that if your website is full of ads, people would not visit it.
This game kept me playing! It has a perfect complexity level: it only takes a few seconds to learn, and there are enough elements to keep me hooked. Your idea is very original. Well done.
thanks Patrick
Amazing game, really liked the complexity
Great job for your first game jam! your going to do well :) I love toon sims and find them really addiciting, although, I was slightly confused how I was ever going to pay the first bill that comes in. I only ever make enough money to buy 3 rasberry pi's and then the $500+ bill comes flying at me. Other then that, great job!!
edit: I figured out the trick, which made the game even better. Nice.
Cool game! I've been playin cookie clicker again recently so this was just what I'm lookin for lol. A little slow paced though to be frank, maybe if I could click for money somehow too (like cookie clicker) that would help fill the gaps.
Really fantastic! I played for like 10 minutes then died and hoped right back in again! Wish the difficulty didn't ramp so fast but other than that was a really awesome game!
You can click the perio key to speed up time
Finally I can power my cloud infra using 10 raspberry pis! Pretty funny concept, great execution. Also, I'm surprised by the polished instructions in the beginning. Not many games value good instructions. Good work!
Maybe it's juts me but it was a very slow beginning for me.. But looks like others are having a better experience :) Good luck to you either way ;)
Cool game and interpretation to the theme. Someone should show this to @pov
Great concept, enjoyed building my Rasberry army for a while. Has good potential for a full release!
thanks a lot everyone for these kind words. This was my first game jam and I am proud of what I built in 48 hrs
I didn't play past the first month, but this is something to be proud of. The mechanics are simple but effective, and it ramps up fairly well, once you understand how to get maximum ad revenue.
Your conveyance is fantastic. Since there's so little time, it's easy for teaching the player to become an afterthought, but your tutorial UI, popups, and various text are very, very helpful.
@draschel thanks!
When playing on the WebGL build and selecting a server that's on the top most corner of the room, the popup window is clipping against the walls and you can't see it.
Great idea and execution! Ludum dare sysops must feel at home with this game xD
@onesvenus this game was inspired by this site itself xD.
This is amazing. I really like the theme. I would love to see more things to manage inside the "server room". The music helps you relax while you wait all those millions getting into your account out of your raspberry pi empire. Nice one!
Very addictive and fun!
Good fun game, nice first entry too! Hope you had fun making it!
dude our game subjects are same lol! its awesome too check out our game from my profile too
this game is fun
This is freaking awesome. This is THE BEST game I have played this jam so far!!! A little more development. Better UI better servers and such, If you develop further you could turn this into a Steam release
Thanks @itsonrandom @dvd and @willypa.
I really had fun playing it
Very cool game! I love idle/management games, so I had a lot of fun with this. My fans mysteriously disappeared on my first playthrough (not sure where they went, I was being hacked and screen was covered up, and when I came back the fans were gone and all my servers were on fire - bug? or maybe I missed seeing something), but I did much better on my second playthrough. I have a couple of notes on the game balance: Firstly, more expensive machines did not appear to be any more efficient (cost or electricity) than less expensive ones. On my best run, I built nothing but Raspberry Pis, which had the added benefit of never needing expensive cooling systems. More clicking, but less other management needed. Definitely want to reward the player for purchasing the more expensive machines. And secondly, I felt like once I got the revenue slider in the sweet spot, I never had to change it. Would be good to either have user tolerance for ads go down over time or fluctuate with number of users. This is a neat mechanics, but once you have it set correctly you can essentially forget about it, and I'd like to see it utilized more.
I also ran into a game-breaking bug on one of my runs =( The "Fix Vulnerability" button is behind the "Pay Monthly Bill" window, yet you cannot click on pay bill if the vulnerability button is sill up. So I got stuck when I was hacked right at the end of the month and I was unable to click either button to continue the game.
All that said, this was very impressive for a 48hr jam. The UI could use some work, but the 3d graphics were great, and the controls were intuitive. Great job!
thanks a lot @jason-woerner.
Funny concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/dDzogWGpxXA
Good Luck! and Good Game!
Cool game and the graphics are nice :)
Love the raspberry pi model :D
Excellent game, easy to understand. I really appreciate playing it in my browser. At one point the music stop. I think adding some sound effect can add to the overall experience. Nice work.
Nice game. I loved your take on the theme, making an idle/tycoon game. Graphics are simple and nice, music too. I wish I could select one server and place it more than once before clicking it again from the menu. Apart from that the game is fun to play especially time speeding.
Thanks @monish-vyas
Guys, does anybody know where it would be possible to find hosting services? I really need that. So if anybody can recommend something, I will be glad
Today, a large minority of people are interested in protecting own apps for many reasons. Therefore, I will also contribute and recommend this [vps in usa](https://ultahost.com/vps-usa) where you can learn much better about service of hosting with the help of mobile development and get a service that can help you to do this smoothly. So try to use it too.
