Absolutely great! You could make a commercial game out of this where you can make something more with the items you retrieve, but I already enjoyed what it offers.
Great base for an actual game, with some extra functionalities and such, this could grow to be a fun commercial game :)

I found my favorite game so far in the jam. Amazing atmosphere, graphics, sounds, and the gameplay is also entertaining. It's just amazing, congratulations for this great game. I got all the upgrades :) 5/5 for all.
Absolutely one of the best ones I've seen in LD48. The visuals are amazing and the whole game feels very smooth. If anything, I find the fight a bit difficult, life goes down too quickly. I truly enjoyed playing it so I've been trying it for quite a while, but I wasn't able to get to the end of it. Still, amazing work.
nicely done! The controls gets confused sometimes and runs in a different direction than pressed, but it's not so common. Congrats!

Nice game, but makes my eyes fuzzy after a while of playing, it would have much smoother and calming for the eyes if you'd just linearly move the camera instead of the immediate jump/cut effect, but it's still a nice game. I wish I was able to play it longer :)
The chanting idea is great, but for me the difficulty seems a bit high, it would be great to allow the player a bit more time at the beginning to warm up. Good job though!
Nice game, the slicing is fun :) If I could move the submarine up and down, it would be even better, but I still had fun playing it.

Great work, very nice graphics, but the controls feel clunky. I had hard time moving upwards using the swinging, I was struggling a lot to make simple things. If it was allowed to jump once from swinging, it would be a total game changer. Still, ipmressive work.

@kieron-woodhouse , thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately I only hardcoded some of the most popular 16:9 screen resolutions and aspect ratio, this is causing your problems. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to submit a fix for this after the deadline, but I can, I'm happy to do it (an easy workaround would be starting the game on a much lower resolution if the screen aspect ratio is not 16:9). About the jetpack controls: I should have spend more time of tweaking this as it's just a matter of tweaking 2-3 variables (friction, gravity, forces, etc.) but I was so focused on the other aspects that I did not have time at the end (the finished version was submitted something like 10 minutes before the deadline :) ).
@ristoretto , thanks! agree, the kicking thing was a hit and miss, I should have put much more focus on it, but I had no time to do the final touches, so I just tried to make it playable by throwing in more ammo into the game, hoping that it will be just enough without relying in the kicking :)

If I was working something big, I'd also probably go for a commercial engine, but all my game ideas are relatively small, and I enjoy writing the engine at least as much as working on an actual game. The restart game option had a bug which I had no time to fix before the submission deadline, so I just removed it :(
@skvader-418 , I know that LD is not about having second-third chances, but if you'd still like to try my game, I can push an update that would create a log file for me to see why it crashes for you. Nobody else experienced this, so right now it's a mystery for me too, but I'd be happy to fix it in case you'd try a new version and send me the log.

I really enjoyed this game. Just a few very minor things: once you've mined a cube, many times the character won't fit into the it, although it looks like it should. Also someimes, even if I mine the surrounding cubes, the debris won't let me progress. Nice idea and pleasant experience overall.
