Excellent game! I wasn't able to complete level 3, but found the game quite fun and interesting. The sound effects are pretty good, though the dialogue sound is a bit too rough-sounding I think.

syo 2020-04-19 22:30

Thank you! Unfortunately, I cannot fully evaluate the quality of the dialogues. I think I'll ask for help later

attx 2020-04-19 22:34

Really like the graphics and sounds! The concept was a little hard to understand, but once I understood what was happening, then I got it. The mouse wheel dragging causes issues in web, making the whole web page slide around. Overall, looks really clean and you did great!

ssstormy 2020-04-20 02:55

The gameplay looks rather interesting. The only problem I have with the game is that the level design seems to just take off and completely forget that I may not quite understand all the nuances of the game mechanics!

Other than that. The art and sounds are solid.

I don't see why you wish to not be rated on the art & sound ;)

ioan-pop 2020-04-20 05:13

The graphics are very nice and this is a very unique puzzle game!

plantleaf 2020-04-20 05:14

I liked the game but I didn't get very far because I often didn't understand when a character in the game couldn't move to a certain place. I did like the graphics though and the dialogue got kind of funny at times. Great game!

commanderstitch 2020-04-20 05:20

I figured it out after i got to level 3, but level 3 didn't have any kind of departure and that must be where you stopped in the production. These games remind me of bulldozer. But what's interesting is you have everyone clumped together so movement is a mass and it's like a giant blob of flowing water. xD :D nice!

syo 2020-04-20 05:26

Thank you! Yes, at first I thought about worm clubs) I didn't have time to do a level design

mincemeat 2020-04-20 05:51

Nice work, I got kind of confused on the movement mechanics but thats more my fault than yours I think.

ubershmekel 2020-04-20 05:59

The art was fantastic. I loved all the characters. Oddly enough, I was dead confused, and completely clueless during level 2. I just didn't realize a knight could break a rock. Then when I figured it out - the rest was just too easy. I liked the mechanic of the bishop going diagonally. I guess if there were enemies around it could make it even more interesting. Good job!

mudlee 2020-04-20 06:14

After the first two level I said "looks really good, but too easy". At 3rd level: "O man, it's like a summer after a winter without spring!"

ivn 2020-04-20 07:00

I like it! Especially humor :-)

juako 2020-04-20 08:00

intresting mechanic! maybe it ramp up too fast

chertkov 2020-04-20 09:17

Solid and deep puzzle. And visuals are stunning!

yonman 2020-04-20 10:22

Very nice game! The graphics look amazing and the idea is great. It was pretty hard to understand how to play though.

frogravity 2020-04-20 10:23

It's a really nice game! It took me ~150 turns to actually understand how it works, but it was fun afterwards. Level 3 was very hard, but I eventually managed to do it by sacrificing archers at the traps. Overall, it was great!

k4v0x 2020-04-20 10:26

I just love the way it works, and the graphics are pure gold. Kudos for the extra snappy sense and professional finish!

syo 2020-04-20 10:31

Thanks for the feedback!

westmave 2020-04-20 11:26

Nice Game, even though I came further then Level 3. Nice visuals, as well

week-of-the-agents 2020-04-20 11:45

Innovation, graphic solution, mechanics - all top level.

majadroid 2020-04-20 11:52

Great puzzle game. The mechanic is innovative and solid. I like the concept. The art style is also very nicy. Every thing matches well together. Unfortunately I'm not too skilled in playing such games. ;-)

Great work!

gaminghamster 2020-04-20 11:53

This game is extremely impressive. Took a bit of time to understand the mechanics but once you do there's a huge amount of depth. Well done! ^^

ironygames 2020-04-20 12:06

As terrible as I am in chess... I'm even worse here.

Well executed and presented. Usually in strategic movers you only control one player. To have a squad of characters each with its own rules gives you a lot of dimensions in which to think about your solution.

As feedback, I'd ask that if I click when somebody is speaking it doesn't jump to the next sentence, but rather it finishes typing the current one. Like pressing B in Pokémon.

cirno 2020-04-20 12:19

The game system is quite interesting! It is probably a bug that I cannot go to level 4 after beating level 3. Still the system has great potential in my view.

tesseract 2020-04-20 12:52

Interesting mechanics, I'd like to try more levels of this. The interactions when pushing rocks are hard to discover if you think they don't exist - rock->trap destroys both; rock->anything else destroys rock.

syo 2020-04-20 13:01

Thanx @tesseract! - It was also planned that when the unit was in front, he would receive a demage. See "Into the breach" (I didn't have time to do everything and was very tired)

xeke-death 2020-04-20 13:05

Nice puzzle game. Once I figured out that I could kill my soldiers, I stop caring about them walking over traps and enjoyed the little particle effect when they were about to die.

Graphics look great. What sound there was is good, but could use more.

sneakycocoon 2020-04-20 14:10

Neat puzzle mechanic. Sometimes the better strategy is to sacrifice your soldier to make movement easier :D

syo 2020-04-20 14:14

Thanx, @sneakycocoon! Probably need to add points or stars to save the lives of the units

scintillae-creations 2020-04-20 15:28

You even sneaked LD46 in there, good job  I assume, that you didn't finish the levels in time? The difficulty curve was too steep for me, but maybe I'm still tired. Every other aspect of the game was really polished though (please explain your time management), I would love to play a full game. (Or at least 10 levels.) :princess: :crossed_swords: :bow_and_arrow:

syo 2020-04-20 16:30

i just slept and it gave me strength) you can not doubt - there will be more than ten levels in the game. I am inspired by your comments. thank you all!

syo 2020-04-20 16:35

while I was asleep I had names for the main characters. Queen - Ha Ha, Knight Ho Ho, and Archer He He

))

yetanother 2020-04-20 18:15

I like how it looked! Solving those puzzles really hurt my brain :)

katrin 2020-04-20 18:39

So nice pixel art! Very good puzzle game but I've done only 2 levels :)

noobexception 2020-04-20 18:48

Interesting puzzle!

Get's a bit confusing when dragging because it also scrolls the page :F

I suppose I don't fully get what it takes for the unit to be connected, but I had fun with experimenting! (The third level could be a little bit smaller though  )

fizzget 2020-04-20 22:04

this isn't a puzzle type i have come across before and it is a nice challenge. I'm sure ill figure them out, eventually.

seriouslycrunchy 2020-04-20 22:30

Very interesting way to create a little fun puzzle game! Nice mechanic!

yolziii 2020-04-21 04:35

Ha! Great game, man! I really like its aesthetic and nice pixel art. Very accurate sound and music ) Yes, the mechanic was not very obvious, and I thoroughly had understood it only on the third level, but it is really fresh!. Good job! Keep working on it, and we want more levels )

zuf 2020-04-21 08:56

Nice puzzle mechanic

I suggest adding an alternative to the mouse wheel. Not everyone has one.

ben-taylor 2020-04-21 11:33

Hey! Finally got around to playing your game (thanks for playing mine!). This was pretty cool. I like that it was a new take (puzzle game) on a genre classic.

conor-galvin 2020-04-21 20:00

Great work! Love the theme, the sound effects, the art style. The way the text was displayed with the character frames really made the game feel nostalgic while also feeling really innovative with the linked movement and puzzle aspect. Nice job:)

Side note; was this made in Unity? I'm trying to make a similar tiled-based movement game and would love to chat about how you implemented this.

syo 2020-04-22 05:27

@conor-galvin, thanks for the feedback! for the game I used the haxe programming language and the low-level engine - heaps. all source code is in the description. But I have a lot of experience with unity. you can reach me via twitter - syopic

wilhelmstein 2020-04-22 08:11

Great pixel art, fun concept. You should think about adding more classes.

nikchernyakov 2020-04-22 10:09

Interesting idea and cute pixel art. I broke my brains a few times, but it was fun!

keybol 2020-04-22 10:58

I like this new type of games that come out of game jams. There is definitely some strategy to the game and there might be more units later in the levels. I just got overwhelmed on level 3. I tried to replay levels 1 and 2 again but it seem it will take time for me to understand the units movement. I like the sound effects they fit well and the graphics is really nice for this type of game. The humor definitely got me into diving into the game. Will play this again later.

nerzal 2020-04-23 19:59

Heyho i just tried your game.

Level 1 and 2 were pretty simple, and that was good to get a hint, of how the mechanics work. As i entered Level 3 i felt overwhelmed by the amount of solders, archers and stuff. And i did not mange to finish it.

I liked the graphics and the sounds. As i played it locally and not in the browser i did not encounter any problems with the dragging of the map.

junebug 2020-04-25 05:11

I think level design and balanced puzzles are some of the trickiest things to do on the fly, so good job here! The second level specifically was just the right amount of having to figure it out, and I had an "aha" moment when I accidentally got the Queen to run across the exit in the middle of a move and realized she just had to touch it, not end on it. It'd be cool to see more levels of this, it's a good idea!

2020-04-25 13:09

Very interesting concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/jKms-qsuTgw

thebreakfast 2020-04-25 19:13

Very cool concept, surprisingly compelling puzzle game. With a few more unit types and some music this could be a really good start to something!

garygreen 2020-04-26 18:18

The graphics were cute and I liked the puzzle mechanics. Unfortunately I couldn't complete level 3, as I couldn't find the exit.

01010111 2020-05-05 17:35

This is a really great puzzle game! One of the more intriguing, challenging, and original ideas I've seen so far! Great work!
