I like your twist of the theme. I can see the lack of time/energy you had while creating this game, yet this build looks more than solid. This is a good job.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Deep trouble in the art gallery

Way to go! It's a short story but it's well done! I really like that you took the theme in a unique direction. I'd love to see a second room, and I could see some cool potential for branching story if you wanted to take it that direction in the future. One recommendation to make it better as a player: click interactions could have some kind of feedback to show me the click was registered. I found myself unsure what the character was doing and accidentally queueing up multiple actions because of it. A combination of a visual indication of a click with cancellation of previous actions on each new action would be nice.
I had way more fun playing this than I thought. Really well done, had me smiling the whole time.
Haha this was great! I had a good chuckle and enjoyed how many "things going wrong" you managed to fit in such a small space!
I passed the game. It was not clear for me though, that it's needed to click 'Exit'. I thought it will lead directly to the main menu.
Haha, this gets max points in humor from me :D Good job!
@j0ye @david-horning @ben-taylor @awesomezebra - Thank you!!
@samguy - Thank you! Yea i would of loved to add a second or third room and technically everything code wise was ready to do it but i wasn't going to have time to create the art for it and implement so focussed on just the one room. That's also a good piece of feedback about getting told when you'd clicked something, i realised i needed to indicate when something was interactable but forgot to say that you had started the interaction!
@xpycm - Thank you for the feedback, i guess i could of added a pointing arrow or something to indicate to click the exit.
It was hard to pass it after the clean of broken vase but it was nice to mess that up
That was fun. I was laughing at my desk!
Love the twist on the theme! This is an exceptional example of programmer art too, being set in a gallery feels very appropriate. MEOW
Interesting take on the theme! The cat art really stands out ;)
This was brilliant - I could really see the Day of the Tentacle influence :)
@antonishig @itsonrandom @yulotomorrow @m11 - Thank you!
Really fun game ! I'm usually not into point & click but I had a good laugh :) Good job !
That was really fun. It was like playing a point and click adventure based on Mr. Bean. Would love to see an expanded version.
lol this is fun!! simple but funny...
It was fun, I was trying on purpose to drop the lamp... but decided to leave when it was not possible.
I had a good laugh.
Maybe It would be nice to have an accident possible for all elements, and a normal situation. The accident always being the last one you try. And have a groundhog day effect where you would play different order of breaking everything! Trying to find the correct way of looking at the exhibit without ruining it!
fun little getting into trouble point and click. nice work!
That was pretty funny ! Loved the different twists, and the overall "art". It would have been great to go to a different spot after you already picked one, but since it's a fairly short game it didn't bother me that much. This was an enjoyable experience, good job !
Loved the game! I do love those point-n-click games so this was right up my alley. Too short though :wink: but very well made for this game jam. Liked the humor and how it fit the theme. Also liked the art, felt like an old-school point-n-click.
Very well done, thanks for making it and us experience it! :smile:
Lovely game :D Nice work!
Had to give a high score when I saw that the cat painting is your real cat!!! I enjoyed the humorous puzzles and their "solutions" (lol), the sound effects and graphics are amazing especially considering it's a Compo entry. I liked the surreality of the museum displays, and only wish it were longer (tho completely understand about time limits). Great job!
Very fun little twist game! Nice interpretation of the theme. :) Only small note would be that triggering the fire might have been funnier as a direct action instead of an accident. (when you look at the cat picture? :D)
Oh man, I laugh, thanks. I can't say anything here or I'll spoil the game.
that was pretty entertaining, like an interactive farce
I liked music! I got interesting experience, thanks!
Haha - hilarious. Loved the throwback to retro adventure games with a good amount of "who... me??!?"
as your game said "love the art style" :)
"goodbye troubles" was a great finishing line that got an audible laugh out of me. i didnt get why they felt obligated to cover up the death they didnt really cause but i went with it. i dont think i've seen this sort of comedy of errors in a point and click before. i mean its no less absurd than "Rubber Chicken With a Pulley in the Middle" and totally reminds me of a Mr.Bean type character. Good work!
All I can say is: "That escalated quickly!" And by that I mean: Sorry for breaking your game on the stream 😅 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1oYMc95du8
