I loved it. It was really good.

hestrateja 2021-04-25 22:01

Nice ambient, but the lose condition isn't ovbious or intuitive. Great execution for a 48h game, cheers!

jgur 2021-04-26 07:12

Great execution of the theme! Love the idea of keeping track of your oxygen, and managing the sound you produce. Great visuals too, made it feel quite immersive. Great work!

bhanosthegamedev 2021-04-26 07:16

This game is awesome, graphics are perfect, sounds do. what they have to, everything just works. Maybe you should continue developing this game.

maximbegunov 2021-04-26 07:39

Great work on the mood, both the graphics style and the ambience made me a bit terrified even. For a 48h game you did a good job polishing it from every side.

wolderado 2021-04-26 08:25

Really good! I first had fnaf vibes but as I play it, it becomes it's own thing! The low-res texture style is really well done. The diverse sealife is interesting too. Heartbeats are nice but maybe they give away too much? I run out of oxygen before the battery.

The creature sometimes clipped through my cage but those kinds of things is completely normal in a jam game anyway

514 meters. I guess it's not much but I'm afraid of depth and scary underwater monsters so I tread carefully. I even think mt heart synced with the heartbeat x). Awesome job on this, perfectly polished on every aspect, great job! :)

Really really nice! Love the ambient sounds, I wonder how you did them...

rufusdrop 2021-04-26 15:37

Awesome ambient!! This game is just great, it doesnt have to many mechanics or anything but is the application of them that makes it great. Nice job!!

Great mood and overall aesthetic. I'm not that much of a horror game fan BUT I can appreciate a cleverly put together game when I see one. Very good game, Nice job!!

560m. I'm sleeping with the lights on now.

At first I thought this was a little bit too easy, since you can just outwait the shark... then I realized that air meter wasn't a pressure gauge for an endgoal, it was a timer. I played it _way_ too safe. Then, the tablet, your instant cheat sheet... has a limited use... that's a neat design. I do wish I could look up or down, though, and I had a little trouble clicking the descent button because of how small the pad is. Maybe that's by design though, the fumbling on my end definitely added something to the atmosphere.

I love the visual aesthetic, but I hate sharks. Your sharks and underwater monsters in particular have all of the qualities that I despise about sharks. Trying to be a bit more neutral, I'm impressed by how many fish models that save for a little clipping here and there managed to look the part in a Compo game. Seriously, rigging and setting up all these 3D models on such short notice is really impressive.

Editing my comment to add this in: I didn't even comment on this, but aside from the chunky graphics the audio actually carried the weight of being underwater incredibly well. I don't have too many comments on that front because it all just built on the atmosphere without sticking out. The heartbeat indicator was also a nice way of conveying player info, but I like the fact that it can potentially hurt your score if you're overreliant on it. In short, there's just lots of little things that really make this game something special.

Incredible work, and worth five stars... but please, no more sharks.

Really great design balancing the different elements like oxygen, the tablet, and the monster's sense of you going down. Audio, graphics, and lighting did a great job creating the spooky underwater atmosphere. Really impressive to be done in such a short time!

tudypie 2021-04-27 07:38

Really good game considering the time it was made in. I really liked the idea and the graphics were really good. I managed to get to 533m. Amazing job :)

Really well done game~and scare the crap out of me XDD

truechips 2021-04-27 10:41

My favourite game so far. It was brilliant. Good job

aaron-butterworth 2021-04-27 12:26

Great atmosphere, the mechanics work really well together and I like the different ways of keeping track of the monster by sound or visuals!

masaru 2021-04-27 12:31

596m ! The game works very well, the graphism are super good, the sound design is super effective. The only critics I can make are these : the oxygen is a bit hard to keep track of, I couldn't really see how fast it went away, the tentacled-shark forgets a bit too fast (just doing 25m or so, stopping for 10s, then going again is enough to be safe it seems) and when I died the heartbeat wasn't even that strong so it might be because it was behind me, but I stood there a bit confused as to why I died. I were one or two runs away from just booking it as I was nearly out of oxygen anyway, but still.

Overall, very impressive game !

654m before being eaten!

I really loved the atmosphere. Kudos for doing a 3D game out of 48 hours. This kind of old gen 3D is working perfectly to create such ambiance.

The gameplay is limited, but it stays a solid atmospheric simulation.

Ok so i must save this for later because i really want to se whats below!!! i could go for hours if you give me a way of getting more oxygen.. maybe not battery but playing with the sounds and stuff help xD I really like

duvey 2021-04-29 18:56

Very simple but engaging, especially in 48hrs. The only thing I wanted was to be able to play with my keyboard rather than my mouse. Might be a preference thing though.

rawb 2021-04-29 19:43

Super atmospheric game, I really like it

waltsontanaka 2021-04-29 21:32

I like the atmosphere, whish there was more to it than just descending until you run out of oxygen (like ways to get more oxygen, perhaps other dangers to avoid), but still a pretty solid game, nice!

shubart 2021-05-02 22:08

Nice idea, with a good mood. Thank you for your game

itsisaac 2021-05-06 15:37

An absolutely superb game! Got to 551. Its incredible. The sounds, the visuals. Everything about this is super! I got big Five Nights at Freddies vibes from it! If yyou added some more gameplay mechanics and maybe a story. This could be a fantastic game that id happily hand over money for! Brilliant work. Bravo

tanis 2021-05-08 16:58

Man, your game really did give me the creeps! The audio is awesome and the mood as well! Love the idea of that radar that looks like a console :) Very well done!

dans17 2021-05-08 18:04

I really the concept of having to be brave enough to keep descending, and the mood was established very well! The camera sway was a nice touch, but sometimes it made it a little frustrating to hit the descend button (maybe making the button a little bigger would help?). It would be nice if there maybe were multiple monsters that came at you from different angles, and also if the heartbeat was nerfed a little. Right now, you can basically just descend until you hear the heartbeat, and then stop and wait until it leaves, so I think this would add some more interesting gameplay by forcing you to look around and use your radar more.

ryzy27 2021-05-10 14:25

Visuals and sound effects are great. Gameplay is simple, but that's good for a jam game, as more people will see everything you have created. Amount of polish is very impressive.

Keep it up!
