Great game! The bear was super cute at the start, and I love the graphics in general. I need to look into PICO-8 if this is the sort of thing you can produce with it.
Short and sweet, seems perfect for PICO-8 :) The second part was very fun to control.
Excellent job. Great integration of storytelling and gameplay. I'm not sure if it's the game or something on my end but had to turn off the audio as it was having some issues.

I found this game to be one of the funnier entries. It's so ridiculous in and so funny and to make it a constellation origin story makes it even more so. Nice work lol and good luck in judging!

Oh i love the ryhming! Otherwise the game was quick and fun. No real critique from my part - maybe to be really nitpicky the world looked very weird once the assets got devoured but im like 70% sure that was kinda intended.

Hi ! love your game ! Really polished in every details, especially loved the cute eating animation ! The story telling was present without being overwhelming. The level design was perfect, as the story evolved well with it. And the graphics simple, clear and cute !! I still noticed a "bug", When Ursa grew bigger in space her hitbox don't grew the same way and cause me to miss some planets (but a really minor issue !). Great job !
Love it. Love it. LOVE IT! Would love to see more, perhaps involving ursa minor?
My only suggestion would be to take a look at the bear's hitbox, as I was getting some strange collisions with the trees in the early stages, and was having trouble actually connecting with the planets at the very end.

There is a folk song feel to it and I love it. And it's aesthetically perfect as well (big pico-8 fan here).
The bear is so cute! Wish that there were more mechanics involved, or perhaps some more stages, though. Really like the writing.
This was so ridiculous in the best way possible I love it. Possibly the only game so far to make me laugh in the dumbest way. The story and the rhyming was a really nice touch, and it really guided me through the world. Maybe too guided if I had to be nitpicky, felt a bit less like a game and more like an interactive story, but if that's what you were going for I love it. The graphics as well were charming, I felt like I could identify things really well, didn't have any issues in that regard. Honestly seeing the bear get stupidly big that first time set the tone and I just was chuckling the entire time. Only other complaint would be the hitbox when in space was occasionally unclear, but that didn't really stop my enjoyment at all. Great work.
I can't say I like controls very much (played of Xbox Controller) and colliders of world objects, but animation of the Bear eating is a good one, that made me smile :)

Most of the textures/sprites are nice, although you could make a better work with sprite layers (and colliders, but I already mentioned that).

I love this charming tale! The rhyming was very cute, as was the little munchy bear haha. Artwork was beautiful to look at!
Once up in space, I got lost for a bit without being able to find planets. It seemed like you had probably predetermined their locations, and I just happened to fly out of their field. Fortunately, I was able to wander back to it and eat the one or two final unfortunate morsels to achieve my final form :)

@fromage it shouldn't be an excuse, but tbf english is our second language and we didn't have time to proof read the story with a native speaker during the 72h jam. nonetheless thanks for the feedback and the positive words!
@kastaff @ferelily @porcus-pie we tested the hitbox growth but it made the planet consuming super fast and we wanted to keep the pace to have the players some time to float around, so it was a deliberate choice at the end. thank you for the feedback and the love for the game!

Wow this is so different to most ld entries. Was v fun and just a satisfying lil poetry package. that bears got a hell of a digestive system.
The audio quality in the game is average, it is not bad but not great either. It could have been better if more effort was put into it. The game almost perfectly captures the theme, but it still falls short of my imagination for this theme. The mood and atmosphere of the game are fitting and well done. The graphics are well done and have almost no mistakes, a decent effort. The game is fun and enjoyable, which is not something you come across often. The gameplay is solid, and it has a good balance of challenge and fun. I really enjoyed playing the game and appreciate the effort put into creating it. I look forward to more games like this in the future. Keep up the good work.
Really fun little game. The fact the text rhymed was great as well as the progression into eating entire planets lol. One thing if you continue post jam is to have a way to either replay text or make sure people arent spamming the button since I accidentally skipped a section of text and had trouble figuring out what to do for a bit. The art and music though worked well to compliment it and was definitely great humor wise
Nice story based game! I had problems harvesting during final phase but it's not so much and I could complete the game.

Wow, this was a lovely, lovely game! It made me sincerely laugh out loud! I really liked the surprises, and how the game changes from one stage to the next!
Two very minor things: - You might want to add a delay after showing text, preventing button presses for half a second or so - I missed some text boxes in my first play because of that :-( - Make the sound effects a bit louder (or the music a bit quieter?) sometimes I could not hear the sound effects over the music.

This game was very nice everything was great especially the story and the graphics. I wonder if now the bear has became a black hole :)
The only "issue" I had (very minor) is that it becomes a bit difficult to control the bear once you go in space. Since the objects are behind the bear collecting them is a bit more difficult than it could be.

Wow, this game is quite good! I loved the creative approach to the theme and an overall atmosphere. The graphics, music, gameplay and the story really fit together. I only wish that the pacing was a bit different, since the ending space part felt really rushed, but other then that -- I don't have any comments.
After 80 games, i have found the one! The game that i wont be able to stop grinning thinking about... The game looks so beautiful, the story is so funny, the mood heart warming, the sound design nostalgic, the gameplay simple but right on spot how it should be.... I love every part of this game! Thank you so much for making this beautiful game that made my day! :heart:

Cool game, and fun story! I just wish the game was a bit longer, especially second phase, since I wanted to clean whole map ;) Besides that, good job with the game!
