Really good graphics Like it Great Job dude
Haha RON PICHE :) you french <3 Maybe the night is too long (ratio time/variety). Nice idea of being stop to play the lullaby, the risk & reward is good.
Graphics are very good and feel well together but i had a feeling the game was a bit easy. Maybe a bigger difficulty curve.
Nicely done! Is there an end, though? I just stopped at a certain point because it also didn't seem to be getting harder over time.
Help I need to know if he ever wakes up ? The gameplay works well I like having to switch between "healing" the guy and hunting down nuisances. I paused at 8:22, not sure if there's something special further. I think it would be nice if you could see the sun starting to rise at some point with some change in the lightning, to let the player know he's almost there.
I really liked what you did with the theme, and the sound design made me laugh. Fun little game to play, although I think I would have preferred to have levels or some sort of progress / difficulty ramp.
Good job!
Thanks for the kind comments
My plan was far bigger and I had to cut off some features. There is no end, it's more like a Highscore endless arcade mode. The next step is to work on some level design and the difficulty curve but I didn't have time in 48h.
I'm so glad however that you liked the concept !
pretty cute game :) it was very satisfying to be able to sit in the center and sing a lullaby when i got the chance to. after a while, it gets a little bit boring having to stay in the same place the whole time. i think if there were a time limit, more powerful enemies, or a sleepwalking Ron Piche, it would be pretty interesting. anyway, love the atmosphere -- great job!
Nice entry. Not a great game, but good one.
Nice take on the theme. It was good fun, but maybe not challenging enough? I'm not sure if there's an 'end' as I made it through to 10:30 before I stopped trying. Perhaps it could have been better to split the game-play into "nights" which pass by quicker but give a distinct itemized point of progress, and then you can make the difficulty sharply increase between each night. Sound and art were on point though, the ringtone put a smile on my face.
Pretty cool game with some nice sounds and effects  It is a bit easy and repetive but I know you only have time for so much :stuck_out_tongue: (Mine is way worse xD)
I love the sound design! Especially the dog sounds, absolutely fantastic. The graphics are great as well and I think the balancing was quite good, I made it 12 hours which feels like a very good amount of sleep. :D
Nice Game! I liked the concept, I would like the difficulty level to ramp up a bit faster. I really liked the take on the theme. Well done!
Absolutely love the art style and voice acting.
I would appreciate a steeper difficulty curve and faster gameplay to improve replayability.
Also, is there no ending? My human has been sleeping for 24 hours straight now.
Very nice game, I really like the art and the voice acting. I especially enjoy the effect that distorts the colours at the edge of the screen. A potential additional feature would be to have a scoring system, to give the player a bonus if the sleep meter is high :)
The sounds were maybe my favorite part of this game. As others have mentioned, adding levels of difficulty would make the game feel more challenging and polished. But hey, there is only so much time in a game jam right? Overall, nice work.
As others have said, the sounds are delightful—the dogs were my favorite. I do wish the difficulty ramped up a bit—by midnight or so I had the hang of things, and I kept going until 9:30 assuming the guy must eventually wake up… but no luck. The visuals are impressive for a compo entry, especially the amount of detail on the dog. Nice work!
It was a lot of fun. It's a game with high concentration.
Cute game, good UX, signifiers, and feedback. Was there an ending? I felt like he was sleeping a long time, though I guess that's probably healthy and what I should do xd
I'm so glad to see so many nice comments about my first LD game :). Sound design was a very funy part to do and I had a lot of fun dubbing the dogs. I really take notes of the feedbacks concerning the difficulty and the level design (100% agree with you).
SFX were hilarious, really sounded like you had fun making them!
Thanks to that the game was surprisingly addictive and run smoothly. Nice work!
I can't get the game to load in Unity and the JavaScript console says, "indexedDB database could not be opened". This seems to be happening on a lot of games that I try. Maybe it's my browser? I use Brave.
@hutchings90 What happens if you test it on Firefox or Chrome ? The game runs smoothly on those two
Highly addictive game  Well done! It probably needs to be a bit harder. I seem to be able to keep Ron asleep forever
Sleeping 17 hours without a bathroom break thanks to me, the sandman. I'm pretty sure that didn't go too well.
Very nice! You've taken a simple concept and gave it a very appropriate skin to match this Jam's theme. I'm quite impressed with your art and laughed at your audio. Ultimately, this sandman failed to keep Ron asleep for very long. But, then again, who really needs sleep? Right? Well done!
At first I thought I was the good guy. Helping this guy sleep and eliminating the distractions. But as the time passed 10 hours I thought, well maybe this guy needs to get up. Then I realized that I was the bad guy. There is clearly some sort of natural disaster outside with all the sirens going by and he needs to get up to check on his friends and family. I was eliminating the phones and dogs trying to warn him about what's going on but I just kept him asleep. I have decided that I am the bad guy.
In all seriousness this is a very fund game to play. It's tough to add to what others have said. Maybe cut up the game into nights and such or ramp up the difficulty but it's super fun to play and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Great job!
This was a fun little game that is perfect for an LD game, which congrats on doing your first one! I chuckled at some of the audio and I thought the art was very well done. I actually ran the game in Waterfox, which is a fork of Firefox and the game ran great for me.
@verygenuinecraze I got it to work in Edge. I love the audio! I also tried my hand (voice?) at voice acting in my game. It was fun!
The audio is hilarious! I would love to see a difficulty curve and an end in the future, unless you want to keep it arcady. Also a day night cycle would be very cool!
@breadstix Your comment made me laugh. I never thought of this story, it's so perfect with the elements of the game that it can be true.
@hutchings90 I'm happy that you could try the game
@studio-gomp In the first draft of the game, I imagined different level of difficulty. I cut this part off in order to finish in time but it's on the todo list and I want to continue developping this game.
Thanks again for all those kind comments and feedback, I'm so happy of the result of this game Jam and of meeting so nice people
The theme, visuals and audio of this are really charming, the game put a smile on your face. Gameplay mechanic is pretty cool, I like the different hazards requiring different button presses, and the lullaby healing is an interesting addition. It's a bit too easy, I lost interest at around 2 AM, but otherwise, great work!
It's really interesting to see someone else make a game with such a similar theme and gameplay, haha (I made the game Trancendental, which you reviewed; change the theme and controls a bit and it's basically the same game :D ).
@pdotjpg: During my brainstorming, my first idea was to do someone trying to deepen his feelings but I couldn't figure out a gameplay. Yours is just right and I'm happy that you explored it
really clever take on the theme, and as with pretty much everyone else I adored the art and especially the sound effects. Something that may have been interesting (after having difficulty scaling/separate nights) would be if you could place down traps that could catch enemies to give it some tower defense elements? Congrats on finishing the compo!
Really nice take on the theme! :v: Great self-made sound hehe! The whole experience was really calm and peaceful, had some great fun! Congratulations
Heyo, thanks for submitting your game to stream! It was a lot of fun, but you know, due to some audio 'issues' we had to resort to sign language. So I shall now transcribe my feedback to English.
The game was a lot of fun, like chat was saying the sound effects were really funny! I like how frantic everything was, but still perfectly manageable. It made for some tense moments, though was perfectly fair. I am sorta concerned for this kid tho, if he's sleeping forever isn't that just synonymous with death? But anywho I wish there was an ending, even if something simple. Our fella made it to the morning so I'll consider that a win.
Thanks again for submitting to the stream, here's a link to the vod if ya wanna rewatch, maybe do take up lip reading. And congrats on winning the twitch battle, even if it's not the same calibre as a josh battle.

Thanks for submitting! Hope my in-stream feedback was helpful!
Interesting take on the theme!! I LOVED the sound fx!!! The game play could use a little more depth but overall a good experience!!
Cool game ! very clever concept
Very addicting game, loved the sfx! Great job!
The idea was really interesting and the sound effects were effective. One thing that I might change is the length of time you are frozen by playing a lullaby vs the speed of the bad dreams. Several times I found myself locked into playing a lullaby and unable to react in time to stop a bad dream that appeared after I started the lullaby. A win condition or moving on to a second level or a "you slept one night" screen to give the player a sense of progression would have been great, too. Great job on this -- it was a fun and fresh entry!
@hiddentavern: Good idea! I wanted to add some levels but I had to cut off this feature in order to finish in time. But I will add it in the next version
The game is quite fun and plays very well. Kudos for the nice mouth sound design :D
Had me addicted for a few minutes, nice! One recommendation: the I, O, P keys are a bit confusing. Maybe simplify to only 2 keys?
@binroot: the plan was to have a small battle system with the ghost but I didn't have enough time. The controls stayed. But it will definitely be in a future update !
The art and audio are fantastic; I love the voiced sound effects for dogs and phones and things. Gameplay is basic but well executed and it plays smoothly. Good job!
Here my score :smiley_cat:
score-sleep.png
Ghost animation is nice, sound fx make me laugth (but they also uneasy me, I don't know what to think about it :no_mouth: ).
As says @binroot , I,O,P is little bit confusing at the beginning but after few minutes it's ok. Maybe just add control information at screen bottom can help.
The gameplay is smooth, maybe the speed should increase faster.
I enjoyed the game
Great entry - only question I have is "How to silence the ambulance?" (if you can, that is). Loved the sounds effects, and the dog almost had me wake my entire house with laughter!
I hope you are looking to take this further!
@silkypantsdan : I will! If you want to silence the ambulance, you can press `O` on it (it's a small hitbox). Glad you liked the sound effect (I had a lot of fun doing them)
Well done! Really cute and funny game :smile_cat:
solid wee game you got here, lasted 13 hours before deciding that thats enough sleep lol. the sounds effects had me cracking up 😂 like they're getting tons of phone calls and ambulances are going everywhere, maybe somethings happened.
I slept for 8 hours, really fun game! The graphics are nice and the idea is creative. I especially liked your sound effects. Good work!
That guy will not go to work if it's up to me. Seemingly there is no ending? Liked the bad-dream things and the sounds are the perfect ones for a compo entry. The basic idea is ok, but I can't see how it's going "deeper and deeper".
@rawbits: In this game you help Ron sleep "Deeper and Deeper". I had the idea to add a higher difficulty if he sleeps to deep (with bigger bad dreams or monster under the bed) but I had to be reasonable . I think I will work on this on a V2 of the game.
Nice game. Good idea to have several buttons to take care of different ennemies. The sounds are really cool. Thank you for your game
Loved playing this game. Loads of fun. The only thing I actually didn't like was how my run ended 'cause I was too concentrated not to lose the game, but then 3 or more emergency sounds started playing and as I could do nothing to stop that, I just watched my sleep bar go from full to empty in no time. Was that normal or a bug? Well... At least I tried! Great game, thanks for the entry!

Super ! Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de fin du style faut être réveillé entre 8h et 9h pour le boulot xD. J'ai qu'une chose à dire : Vive la France, vive la République !
@villanelle: Yes, I add too much randomness to the inconvience spawning. So yes it can happen (sorry ).
@slavi: J'ai prévu de le rajouter . Pour le moment c'est encore un peu nul pour la fin
@all: Thank you for all the kinds comments and the good feedbacks. I have a wonderful time playing all a your games (Even if I am a bit late).
I loved the art and the sfx were cute. I reached a point where I felt like I could go on forever. I kept waiting for a victory screen but the game kept going. If it's meant to be an endless style game, the difficulty should continue to ramp up. Increase the number of things that appear or add more challenging things to deal with.
Cool idea for a game. Great job
@jason-wilson: I totally agree, I have no experience on the difficulty curve. I am currently working on a new version of the game with a victory screen and a more challenging difficulty.
Thank you for the feedback!
Great game! I enjoyed playing it and loved the effect when vanishing ghosts or the other things. Congrats!
I finally found the time to play your game, too!
The concept is nice, I really liked the idea of working against everything that ruins that poor person's dreams (and not only because I can relate). I also like the variety of disturbances you have created. I do agree with some other commenters that it would be more challenging and fun if the difficulty would increase more over time. The controls were a bit confusing to me at first, but that might just be me.
@triastase : It's not just you, I had the same feedback. I am currently working on a V2 to improve this point . Thanks for playing my game!!
First thihgs first: The sound effects are hilarious! Good job on those.
For a post jam version you might considder adding some new challenge roughly half way through the night as that is where it starts to feel a bit repetitive.
@jordgubben : You are 100% right, I will adjust the difficulty curve and add some others inconvenience with various effects
This was a neat take on the theme, and I liked the sleeping sound effects. I think it was a little too easy to just sit in the center the whole time, it might help to have more long-range hazards that you have to go out and deal with (like the dog/alarms, but spawning further away from the bed). Nice work though!
Interesting game. The graphics work pretty well with their flat design.
Main issue with the game is the lack of objective (ok, we should keep the guy asleep, but is it a scoring game or a 'surviving' until 8am game ?) & a difficulty curve as the game lacks in challenge once we've understood how it works and gets repetitive pretty fast. Still a good game for compo.
Merci pour les retours @vladadamm ! J'ajouterai des objectifs plus clairs ;)
Thank you for the feedbacks @vladadamm ! I will add clearer objectives ;)
Great graphics and loved the dogs! Maybe the game was a bit too easy until the really big ghosts arrive and then you're screwed :) Liked the concept!
Je t'ai déjà fait mon retour lors du live ^^ Donc bravo pour ton travail et bonne continuation pour tes autres projets
Dont dare to wake him up! I will protect his dreams!
This is an original idea. Here are some ideas which might improve the game: * The person could also have a nightmare in himself instead of having the boos outside * Let the dog fall a sleep and slightly get disappeared * Make the nights shorter and let the difficulties get increased per night / level
Good job finishing your entry
