Very fun game to play. Art was bright and appealing. Voice work was excellent. Very nice!
Graphics were adorable and it plays like a nice little mobile game. Excellent work.
I will definitely try once I get home.
Fixed the file, it is now an executable.
Honestly it's a testing action I decided to leave in the game for funsies! but really thanks for playing, and glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much!
@posho Love the fanart! Thanks!
Game was fun to play. I would suggest placing the camera top down instead of 3/4ths because I couldn't tell what I was doing.
Game was great. What it needs is another objective or challenge, maybe a time limit that gets added to with each businessman death. otherwise solid entry, well done.
Time seemed to last a little long. Great Hotline Miami vibe, great audio had me in tears laughing.
@danga ty for the feedback. After playing it a few more times I see what you mean. So I have updated blocking to drain a little more poise but it instantly refills after combat.
@nnnikki thanks for the feedback. If I were to continue work on this I would definitely make sure the enemy attacks were more readable and the poise was a bit more defined.
Simple game but cool and relaxing. Would make a great mobile game.
Hand-Draw graphics were really cool. The sound effects were excellent and it was a nice take on the theme. Wonderful entry.
Great fun game to relax while playing. Pumping a lot of hearts into the archer was fun and overpowered.
Great submission, controls were a bit floaty for my taste. Graphics were great, and some hitbox issues were around but my biggest complaint was lack of feedback when the player got hit.
Great entry Kyla, was fun, and graphics were top notch. Grats
The game is very fun to play, I could see myself sinking hours into this. The gameplay loop was satisfying and arcadey enough to be addicting. Some of the units didn't pop out enough for me so I missed a lot of enemies just because I didn't see them but the art was well done. I would like to see something like this further expanded upon.
This was one of my favorite entries. The concept was superb but I honestly couldn't get over the implementation of audio into the gameplay. I wont even explain it here I would just suggest everyone play it themselves. Top Shelf friend!
This was game was fantastic to play. Honestly one of my favorite entries so far. Had an absolute blast!
I really liked this game. The graphics and humor are on point but I think the chance related mechanic limits the game, as you are punished with a lot of stress because a lot of turns went by with no "Go To Work" card. The fast forward button was a nice addition. Well done!
One of the best entries so far. The graphics were super fun, the mechanic was well executed and the humor in the concept and the music just brought it all together. Absolutely fantastic job friends!
Like I said during the stream this was a fantastic entry my friend. The graphics were simple but uniform and well done, and the progression system worked well. The spawning rate for the aux-abilities was off but once you get the increased spawn rate and the killing lasso the game flowed a lot better. Well done! p.s. TOO MANY PUNS! Stop it... get some help...
There's not really much to add that I didn't say during my stream or what people are saying here so I'll just reiterate: Fantastic graphics, music was nice and moody, controller support was an excellent addition, and the persistent corpse mechanic was well done. Fantastic entry!
Well done buddy! As I said during the stream fantastic entry. The mechanics worked well and the overall experience was fun. My only issues are the lack of visual feedback for killing zombies and that the power-ups were few and far-between. But I would like to see this expanded upon in some sort of official mobile release that would be really neat.
Congrats to the entire team for this entry. Although the train had to be full of the most agreeable yet disagreeable people on the planet, the excellent graphics and the music all added to a superb atmosphere. I really do like how no one even mentions the shadow-beasts once the train is started again, I just honestly found it funny, and the ending song was a VERY nice touch. Well done!
Jumping was a little too floaty for my taste but overall this was a solid entry. Gating basic mechanics behind progression through the loop was great, graphics were simple but had a very heavy Journey-esque feel to them, and the music was great. Well done!
Excellent Entry! The game itself was fun and the addition of a challenge mode was a nice touch, well done!
Fun and frustrating just how I like em! The graphics were simple yet fun, yet the lack of music is a bit of a bummer. All in all, well done!
So this game had something to say and I'm afraid the mechanics where the limiting factor for me. Beyond picking up the bear from the trash can I could not for the life of me hold onto it for more than half a second, and trying to move the mouse fast while holding it just doesn't help and sometimes made it worse. I was able to complete the game by dragging the bear THROUGH the boundaries, but I was laughing so hard at the machine-gun squeaks and my absurd method I couldn't grasp what you were trying to say. I will say I enjoyed the art, it has the nostalgic childish-dream feel I think you were trying to accomplish. In that aspect I say well done.
Grats on your first LD entry! The game did get a tad difficult but that was due mainly to very sluggish turning controls, once I found out I could use the momentum to bounce off walls and turn corners it became a lot more manageable but there where times where I seemed to go past an obstacle and it would still reset me as if I hit a wall. Still, good job!
I spent way too much time trying to beat this game that I got a cramp in my thigh. The entire experience was A E S T H E T I C . Music, Graphics, Mechanics all added up to a very chill experience that I ignored because I'm a true gamer(tm). The hook mechanic wasn't as well implemented as I'd hoped BUT I would have probably felt more comfortable with it if I had practiced instead of trying to bounce my way up the wall of balloons. Like I explained during the stream, this was a well done entry, you guys should be proud.
Congrats to the entire team for this entry. Took a moment for me to grasp the persistent held cube mechanic but once I did it became one of the most impressive entries for this jam so far. Absolutely well done!
@ydrenor Thank you for the feedback. I went back through and hopefully made the controls a bit more bearable. As for the lack of a cover image or screenshots this weekend took a lot out of me so i basically slept for 2 days. Not an excuse but hopefully the new gifs and my quick and dirty cover image do it justice.
@thebmxeur This is a gameplay mechanic which I did consider BUT I still like the idea of everything, including upgrade items contributing to the value of your score at the end, so managing your inventory is a balance of survival and getting a high score.
@mza yup. Every floor you descend increases the enemies attack range
@trexxak Ty so much for the feedback! I will def consider another button for using the elevator
@denhette was this on the webgl version or the exe?
Ty for your feedback. That was the original plan, but we chose to make it feel more like a Typing Test Game / Fighting Game. That would have been more akin to a text-based RPG which we saw a lot of people doing. But I do like that idea.
