Pretty good game anon. The time segments get pretty intense
Based anons
Really well presented adventure/puzzle game! The traps are very unforgiving though, I died many times.
Nice game, really liked the atmosphere of it
I liked it anon, I didn't expect the game would be that enjoyable
I liked the ambiance, and the general look and feel! the trap killed me just to many times! very well written dialogs! Good job!
I like this kind of game. Yanderes always make me cringe.. loved the OST tho, very fitting
Nicely done adventure game with a couple of interesting puzzles. Worth playing through to the end — short and sweet!
Not super familiar with the yandere trope but I got it clearly.
Game was pretty good. The writing felt a little off, but I suppose that is just yandere. The traps were a little bit unforgiving, but other than that, pretty enjoyable.
I felt it intense and the OST adds to that.
Also:
> There’s six endings to get. Can you get them all?
I didn't get them all, but plus points for multiple endings. Adds to the fun and "mystery".
I can't find the last ending for the life of me, I got the unarmed one, the good one (for the protagonist), the good one (for Ryouba), the one where you wait after almost making it and the I-cannot-physically-stop-myself-from-mashing-space-goodbye-my-beartrapless-face one. I thought waiting with the machete and going full revenge would be the last one, but that wasn't it either, I'm curious about that last ending.
As for the game itself, what stood out to me was the superb sound design: The mushy sound when the beartrap closes, the music during the quick-but-not-too-quick time events and the ambience. That's what really got me immersed. Art style was also very fitting, once again I liked the bear trap design the most. All around very good job!
I really like that! It was fun and nice to explore, enjoyed the music as well. I've a weak spot for point-n-clicks so it really got me for some time, trying to solve it and to get some of the endings (and death "endings" as well). MMMMMM yes I died many times xD
@captaindreamcast I think the only one you're missing is when you run out of time with the beartrap on. There's some more dialogue than the QTE fail one, where the protagonist has time to accept his fate. You're not the first person who told me they wanted to use the machete on her, and I can't figure out how I never even thought of writing that in.
Already more content then Yandere Simulator. Nice.
This game is really interesting to explore. Art, ambient and dialogs are great!
Really interesting game. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought to try and use the machete on her.
Fun title. Managed to escape, but didn't felt like an ending, maybe a text or an image would have done the job :)
@thibaud-ligneul Indeed, the endings were scripted in at the last moment, it's a miracle we even got them to work on time. Would've liked to add a menu and ending screens/credits if I had had more time to program.
I like how you all added something very interesting to a very stagnant genre (timer based minigames to the room escape genre). I would really like being able to save after each major checkpoint though. Dying immediately to the C4 after escaping the bear trap felt pretty bad.
@drevilbrain Believe me we all would've liked saves. I swear the next game I program will have it.
Ok, this was nice "escape the room" type of game. I really enjoy playing it (did die like 3 times). Thank you!
Aaargh, I don't even like horror games like this. Why did I play this.
...probably because the screenshots looked oddly compelling, and once I started I couldn't stop. And I died several times, but then I finally managed to escape!
There are two things I'm not happy with: - First, the diary. We don't even *know* that we can swap out things at that point. I feel like this is pretty much unsolvable on the first try and on the second try it's less a matter of figuring out what to do (after all, our protagonist straight out tells us before he dies) and only a matter of figuring out how the UI will let us do the thing. - ...and secondly, if we die in the second phase we have to replay the first phase all over. Ugh. I get that it ups the stakes, but man, I was so close to quitting after the incident with the diary. Props on your game for actually holding me there strong enough to try again. (LIKE A BEAR TRAP, I suppose. Sorry, sorry, I'll show myself out.)
But apart from that, everything works really well together and creates one of the strongest moods I've seen in this LD. I also really enjoyed the unexpected mode switch where you have to investigate the room and pick up/use stuff there. Great job!
PS: Could we get a video with the endings? I'd love to see them all, but not enough to play the game a dozen more times from the very beginning to be honest.
After several attempts I finally got an escape. While this sort of game isn't my cup of tea, this one is really well put together! You did a good job of conveying the player's state and options and I think you did a fine job of keeping the core design simple while fleshing it out in the time limit. Would love to see this worked on post-jam!
@tobiasw Thank you for the comment. We've definitely heard about those 2 issues a lot, need to figure out a way to make it more clear that you can interact with stuff in that way. I originally intended for an item to appear under the cursor when you chose "Use on" but had no time to implement that. The points you restart at should probably be tweaked; restarting the game is just a quick and dirty way to make a working game over to begin with, there would've been a proper game over screen. The video sounds like a good idea (I didn't think anyone would be interested enough to see such a thing anyways), I'll see if any of us can record a quick playthrough of everything.

@730さん、ありがとう!
Really nice puzzle game. Like the sound effects!
Really nice game ! I died too many times and I did'nt finish the game but I really enjoyed it. Great music and atmosphere.
Really interesting game. I tried about 10 minutes to "escape". The story and sounds are greats. Good job
Thanks for the game :)
Where is the nice boat ending? Anyway, this is a really nice "room escape" type of game. Congratz. Love the sound effect but really wish that the girl has some dubbing.
Fantastic little game, Challangeing, I didn't actually get to the end unfortunately. But I wanted to rank this. and come back to it later.
Really good game, I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how to escape. Would love to see this developed further into a full game. Amazing job!
Awesome! Great presentation, the graphics, concept and writing are all really solid. The music and sound design are especially great, they perfectly nail the vibe, awesome work there. Was fun to explore the options & figure out the puzzles (props for the 0451 reference btw), though the bear trap timer QTE thing was pretty confusing at first and took me a couple deaths to figure out. (The controls aren't listed and left click works to skip text and doesn't do anything in that part, so there's really no indication of what to do when it pops up.) Like others have said, the diary puzzle is basically just trial and error since you don't know it's a weight trap, and it was pretty frustrating to have to start from the beginning each time. Still I was able to escape after 5 or so attempts. Found all the other endings aside from the secret one. Great experience overall. Nice work!
